Oldsilver - sad news

Shocking and tragic news about the lovely Oldsilver whom many of us knew and loved. She collapsed on Monday. An ambulance was called but they were unable to revive her. Devastating for her husband and son, who are not surprisingly shocked and traumatised.

So much love going out to them.

I know she was on MN a lot, in Chat, AIBU, menopause threads among many others, and - way back - as one of the original Nobdies, which is how I knew her. She was funny, loving, generous and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of seventies and eighties music that was unparalleled. I can't believe she's gone.

Please post any memories of her below. Her husband wanted MNers to know and we'll be sending him the link to this thread.

Go boldly, Olds. You will be fiercely missed.

We should have guessed this was the way this thread would go We always said we dealt with happy and sad together and Olds would love how this thread has gone.

I'm sure they must be fun for those who enjoy random and inane posting but I can't see the appeal.

CJ tell me about it. I struggled with it yesterday. Spent a good amount of time just sat staring at screen feeling so very very sad. Was mighty glad I have an office to myself even if it was rather dusty.

Afternoon all

Just been in the garden with MrMags and we were saying how much Olds would have loved this weather, perfect to get her vegetable patch sorted. She loved her garden so much.

It's tough to get your head around isn't it? I only met her once in RL but she's been in my computer for so long now, and the whole Nob thing was so ace and she was such a big part of it. She was one of those people you think will always be there.

She did indeed. I remember ehen thry moved to the new house and she hot to transforming the garden right away. I think she first tackled a small area right on the side of the house... There were dome pictures she proudly presented. Wherever she moved on to now, I'm sure they have some sort allotment equivalent.
