Oldsilver - sad news

Shocking and tragic news about the lovely Oldsilver whom many of us knew and loved. She collapsed on Monday. An ambulance was called but they were unable to revive her. Devastating for her husband and son, who are not surprisingly shocked and traumatised.

So much love going out to them.

I know she was on MN a lot, in Chat, AIBU, menopause threads among many others, and - way back - as one of the original Nobdies, which is how I knew her. She was funny, loving, generous and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of seventies and eighties music that was unparalleled. I can't believe she's gone.

Please post any memories of her below. Her husband wanted MNers to know and we'll be sending him the link to this thread.

Go boldly, Olds. You will be fiercely missed.

Seeing your name Ty reminds me of the lemon curd cocktail and of course the late night supermarket trips.

Munxx, my owner (Mini-Nob) is 18 and about to do his A levels. So definitely not so mini.

SoMuch my two have some Playmo and happily include the figurine I got on the Nob birthday package we were all sent out that time from the secret present sender (though we all know who that was!!)

Aww, Munxx glad to hear your dcs have Playmo! Ds has now sort of grown out of it, but SoMuch still gets scenes together. Although ds was recently seen leafing through the most recent Playmo catalogue... :-D

Olds was a big one for reminding us of Edgar and Minty.

She did indeed. Wiped down the bar, switched lights off and locked the door.

Think we are all a lot slower typing these days with phones and iPads though Olds always loved her craptop
