Just reading the Diana thread

Who is your celebrity that you will mourn..

Mine is Meat Loaf, Paul Weller and Bob Dylan

I will genuinely cry when they die.

No one

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2019 22:18

Mine was rik mayall
Is meatloaf still alive?
There aren't many celebrities left ill be sad over. Madonna will be the end of an era

Twolipstulips · 14/04/2019 22:18

Really? No one famous?

Pinkarsedfly · 14/04/2019 22:18

I’ve lost mine David Bowie, Prince and Victoria Wood- in 2016, the Great Cull.

I’ll be devastated when Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Nicks go, but nothing will surpass losing my heroes within a few months of each otherSad

Twolipstulips · 14/04/2019 22:19

Meat loaf is still alive! I love him!

CrispbuttyNo1 · 14/04/2019 22:19

David Attenborough

MrsJDornan · 14/04/2019 22:19

Céline Dion is the one that springs to mind

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 14/04/2019 22:20

David Attenborough and Rod Stewart for a start.

TheseThingsAreFunAndFunIsGood · 14/04/2019 22:20

David Attenborough! He's been a hero since I was tiny... I hope he hits 100 at least! 😭

IHeartKingThistle · 14/04/2019 22:20

I honestly will be so upset when the Queen goes, not least because it'll then be a parade of Kings stretching out before us, but also because I think she's great.

Cocolapew · 14/04/2019 22:20

It was Prince, I was devastated.
Others will be Debbie Harry and Doris Day.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 14/04/2019 22:21

Billy Connolly. I grew up watching his shows and appearances on tv and fully expected to see him live at some point. When he became ill it dawned on me that I never will and I think it’s the only performer I will really regret having never seen live.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 14/04/2019 22:21

Margaret Atwood
Brett Anderson
Wayne Hussey

DameSylvieKrin · 14/04/2019 22:21

I cried when Terry Pratchett died.

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2019 22:21

I cried when Rik Mayall died. It will be a sad day for me when any members of a certain 80s group do.

But I think some on MN think you can only cry over deaths if you knew them personally...

Mrsjayy · 14/04/2019 22:21

I think Meatloaf is still alive ? Honestly nobody i was sad when Robin Williams died i even cried it was so tragic but to mourn like people did for a Princess is imo ridiculous

Whitney168 · 14/04/2019 22:21

Rod Stewart

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 14/04/2019 22:21

Good few cross posts there 😁 possibly Roger Daltrey too

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2019 22:22

Yes the Queen will be a huge event and will change this country. I'll be sad, she's been Queen all my life and all my parents' lives too. And the majority of my grandads.

Whitney168 · 14/04/2019 22:22

Oh and the Queen

Twolipstulips · 14/04/2019 22:22

I agree with the Queen, it will be very strange when she goes.

David Attenborough too, seems like he has been around forever..

OP posts:
formerbabe · 14/04/2019 22:23

The Queen definitely and David Jason...I'm a huge only fools and horses fan.

Shutuptodd · 14/04/2019 22:23

No one. I'm not interested in celebrities. Does remind me of when Diana died and I asked my Nan who she was and was told I was horrible for saying something like that.

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 14/04/2019 22:23

I saw Billy Connolly live but was in the depths of untreated pnd and didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I should have

Lokidokiartichoki · 14/04/2019 22:23

Bernard cribbins. I love him and want him to be my grandad.
