Just reading the Diana thread

Who is your celebrity that you will mourn..

Mine is Meat Loaf, Paul Weller and Bob Dylan

I will genuinely cry when they die.

I've pretty much lost all of mine.

Mine was Roald Dahl as a kid.
I cried all day. No more books by him.
Kurt Cobain. I nicked my dad's Walkman, bunked off school and spent the day in the library listening to Nirvana and pretending to write notes from one of my English books.
Gerald Durrell
Steve Irwin. He was a massive hero.
Karl Lagerfeld for being fabulous.

I was upset when Diana died.

The other ones I was upset about were Freddie Mercury, and Alan Rickman.

Will be upset when HM dies, and the DofE.

I was moved when Terry Prachett died. But it was more complicated than just his dying. He was DDad's favourite author, I bought him all of his books when they came out (conveniently in time for Dad's birthday each year) and Dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Terry died while Dad was staring death in the face himself, with very little time left. He died in the middle of reading what had been Terry's last book too, a book I've never been able to bring myself to read.

I was also moved when David Bowie and Alan Rickman died. Again, I rated them highly and loved their work, but they were also Dad's favourites and died shortly after he had. I was glad he hadn't seen the news of their deaths as it would have made him very upset too.

I can't get upset or cry over the death of someone I never knew, so no one.

Mostly not bothered by people I don't know dying,but I was so sad when Victoria Wood died.And Terry Pratchett.All that talent ,wit and humour gone

I think I might be a bit upset if anything ever happened to the Duchess of Cambridge as I like her, but I can't think of anyone else really.

I will be devestated when David sylvian and Vivienne Westwood go!! I very much love both of them
