Surely this won't sell. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57097935.html Talk about OTT!

OP posts:
LegoPiecesEverywhere · 04/02/2019 00:34

I love the house. I would get painters in first thing but otherwise I love it.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 04/02/2019 00:36

The decoration is OTT but look past that and I think there’s the makings of a nice house.

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 04/02/2019 00:37

That is some extraordinary wallpaper

Aloethere · 04/02/2019 00:37

I love it too. I would do a bit of redecorating but the house itself is lovely.

AGHHHH · 04/02/2019 00:38

It's just the decor which is the issue surely! Other than that it looks like it has a lot of potential. And don't people generally decorate when they buy somewhere anyway? I know I would make it my own.

If I could ever afford a house.

Which I won't.

SoleBizzz · 04/02/2019 00:38

I love it! Hate white ceilings.

FissionChips · 04/02/2019 00:38

It’s so awful it great! I’d buy it just to piss off DH (he hates anything more colourful than grey).

ArmyScreamer · 04/02/2019 00:39

It's certainly flamboyant! I guess they'll take most of the 'treasures' with them, and the garden and the views are lovely.

Some of them colours will take some painting over tho'!

Caticorn · 04/02/2019 00:39

That is utterly amazing! I want it!

HerRoyalNotness · 04/02/2019 00:41

I love a lot of that and would live with it awhile before changing anything. I especially like the butterfly wall paper. The garden is also amazing

AgathaF · 04/02/2019 00:51

Somebody has really loved that house and enjoyed their time living in it. Not my taste, but neither are the bland places painted in allegedly tasteful grey either.

SpringForEver · 04/02/2019 00:53

It is much nicer than the last one that was posted several times on here. I would leave most of it as it is and just move in (with sunglasses).

Leatherboundanddown · 04/02/2019 00:57

A fucktonne of white paint and it would be gorgeuos

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/02/2019 01:01

Of course it will sell, nothing a few cans of white paint wouldn't fixSmile

I actually like bits of it, the butterfly paper is lovely. They just need to realise "less is more".

It's much better than a couple I've seen recently which had every flipping room in top to toe grey because it was on trend last year, don't you know?

MichonnesBBF · 04/02/2019 01:09

Bloody hell has anyone noticed the eyes in photo 16?

Howdyhihi · 04/02/2019 01:29

SO SNAZZY! Smile

I think it's pretty amazing to be honest, though I would have to tone down some of the walls and ceilings.

A pretty great find though, love the garden too, and the stairways, and the bathrooms. I'd love to know the story behind the people who live there.

NoShitHemlock · 04/02/2019 01:40

It is GLORIOUS!! Did it used to belong to Barbara Cartland?!

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 04/02/2019 01:53

I think it's fun! Looks like an artists house, actually, reminds me of my sisters house (who is an artist) [grins]

I'm a little more conservative (although I am also an artist! Smile )with my colour schemes, but we do have a lot on the walls (no space left actually! HA!) and we also have a lot of art and thingamabobs. However, it is not a chaotic mess. There has always been meaning as to what it is and where it is and I dust and polish often.

PerspicaciaTick · 04/02/2019 02:04

I love it. I feel like I could be very happy there.

SecretWitch · 04/02/2019 02:05

My gosh, would be tough to nurse a hangover in that house but it is quirky and charming.

MouseUtopia · 04/02/2019 02:32

It should be named Migraine Mews

Time40 · 04/02/2019 02:38

Oh gosh, hasn't it sold yet? I'm surprised. This house has been on MN before.

I'd love it. I'd tone it down a bit, but it's a great house.

Shortyboo · 04/02/2019 03:06

I love it!!!

GiantKitten · 04/02/2019 06:05

This is its previous listing, when current vendors presumably bought it & it was pretty colourful then too!

£331,000 in August 2014.
They’re asking £550,000.
Zoopla estimate is £443,000 - I know their calculations are a bit weird but as it looks as if all changes are cosmetic, current vendors are being —very greedy— wildly optimistic IMO Grin

Totally brilliant!
