Surely this won't sell. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57097935.html Talk about OTT!

Love it! I’d probably tone parts of it down but the colour is great - especially in grey damp February

bibbitybobbityyhat · 04/02/2019 06:15

Very rude of you to describe someone's much loved and cared for home as "horrendous". I thought you'd be linking on a filthy hovel.

Mokepon · 04/02/2019 06:17

It'll be the garden pond and the building work next door putting people off.
I'm all for colour and individuality but
that is just too much. It'll take more than a few tins to sort that!

Mayrhofen · 04/02/2019 06:26

Someone posted about this house last week.

echt · 04/02/2019 06:27

Lovely house, lovely garden.

BrassBellsAndElephants · 04/02/2019 06:31

That's amazing!!!!

Not so sure about the flamingo room or the orange bit in the kitchen but the hallway is brilliant.

So, so, so much better than the 'neutral tones' and 'dove grey' that everyone else seems to go for.

ResistanceIsNecessary · 04/02/2019 06:34

I love the house. The garden looks amazing. The decor looks fun - not to my taste at all but it's refreshing to see a house that's got some personality to it.

Purplecatshopaholic · 04/02/2019 06:35

Wow! If I liked the location I would consider it, but I would need the money to redecorate right away as its giving me a headache just looking at it...

NorthernKnickers · 04/02/2019 06:37

I actually love it...and you're being very rude to describe what is actually a clean, well-loved, cared for and maintained house as 'horrendous'.

It might not be to your taste decor-wise, but it's hardly 'horrendous'! Save those kinds of adjectives for places you see on 'hoarders' where you literally climb over mountains of junk and find dead (sometimes live!!) rodents living underneath.

pictish · 04/02/2019 06:37

Fabulous house! I even quite like some of the decor...it’s very bright and imaginative and not your usual ‘we’re going for grey walls’ at all. What is everyone’s bloody obsession with grey these days? It’s not classy...it’s so dreary!
Anyway yes, you’d have to knock a bit off the asking price to cover decor...but I’d be inspired by and keep some of it.
Like I say - it’s a smashing house.

SubparOwl · 04/02/2019 06:37

I adore it. Some of it is OTT for my taste...some of the ornaments, too much pattern and I loathe the pink and padding, but I love the green.

HoraceCope · 04/02/2019 06:38

i am sure this must have been posted before, but i agree, i do like some of the wallpaper,

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 04/02/2019 06:39

It's quirky and has bags of character - I think the colour suits the house. I would be concerned about the clearly ongoing major renovations going on next-door (noise, dust and general inconvenience). And it looks as if there is social housing to one side which means the neighbourhood is mixed.

TrotEsio · 04/02/2019 06:40

Never mind the interior, who would pay over half a million to live in Hastings? Confused

pigletpie2177 · 04/02/2019 06:43

I actually think it's incredible - I wish I was that brave with colour!

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/02/2019 06:43

Would be a great Airbnb tbh. Really pretty. I could live like that for a while. Very different from my much more vanilla style.

GrumpyOldMare · 04/02/2019 06:48

Gorgeous house. I'd not decorate at all.Perfect for me. (checks bank account.Damn, any change down the back of the settee I wonder?)

thewinkingprawn · 04/02/2019 06:49

It’s probably over priced but by no means horrendous. If the decor is not to your taste then look past that (it’s only cosmetic - drives me mad that many people cannot look at what they are really buying - space, not bloody decor) and imagine what it would be like with your preferred colours on the walls and in the kitchen. If you still don’t like it then fine but that house is far, far from horrendous. Ridiculous.

Ladymargarethall · 04/02/2019 06:50

I have a friend who would love it. Wrong part of the country though.

LellyMcKelly · 04/02/2019 06:51

I think it’s stunning, and a wonderful antidote to the awful sea of grey that seems to be in fashion at the moment. I also think Well Done to someone who’s expressed themselves exactly how they wanted and not comprised their taste with bland decor in order to sell.

Isleepinahedgefund · 04/02/2019 06:53

I’m just absolutely astounded there is someone in Hastings expecting to get that much for a house, never mind the decor (which I don’t mind by the way. Waking up to those monkeys every morning would be a bit much though.....)

OssomMummy1 · 04/02/2019 06:53

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beer holder. So, everyone has their taste, their liking and their pets. You are judgmental here. Majority may not like it, but there are still who will like it and may consider it worth investing.

Claredogmum · 04/02/2019 06:53

I love it. Every photo made me smile. Could live there easily.

BlimeyCalmDown · 04/02/2019 06:55

I love it!

PhilomenaButterfly · 04/02/2019 06:56

How much would it cost to redecorate the whole thing? The owners must be manic.
