I am watching Clue for the first time. Tim curry is amazing in it. Its made me proper laugh out loud a couple of times.
What other old films have been forgotten that I might enjoy? I need some light watching :-)

The Secret to my Success and Working Girl are two my teen recently discovered. Classics.

HeyPesto55 · 24/01/2019 18:37

I love Tim Curry. Just needed to say this.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 24/01/2019 18:39

Beautiful Creatures. I love that film - not really old but definitely under appreciatedm

Mailfuckoff · 24/01/2019 18:49

We love Tim curry too, we're quoting rocky horror and nigel thornberry to each other as we watch it

I love Tim Curry.

I also love The Fall, (Tarsem's, not any other) it's a visual feast and a wonderful story.

RednaxelasPony · 24/01/2019 18:53

Night at the roxbury Grin

widgetbeana · 24/01/2019 18:54

Drop dead gorgeous, an American black comedy humour! They so rarely do black comedy.

Barabajagal · 24/01/2019 18:55

Tremors. Unappreciated classic of its genre. Grin

shutlingsloe · 24/01/2019 22:23

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a fantastic film!

BartonHollow · 24/01/2019 22:31

Whip It!

How it wasn't a bigger deal at the time I'll never know, it's a gorgeous coming of age late teen film about a girl who isn't a pageant girl but has a pageant mom finding her own passion. As good as any in the genre

It's my go to "I'm on my period film"

That and Joss Whedon's Black and White Much Ado About Nothing different to but as good as the Ken and Em version, also under appreciated

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 24/01/2019 22:46

Renaissance Man starring Danny Devito

My Cousin Vinnie with Marisa Tomei and Joe Pesci

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 24/01/2019 22:46

Vinny. Not Vinnie

MissMarplesKnitting · 24/01/2019 22:47

Dogma.

Brilliant plot, acting....it's quality.

BornInAThunderstorm · 24/01/2019 22:49

Yes to dogma and whip it!

Theres a film called Catch & Release that I love, often gets shown as sunday evening filler on lesser channels.

BelfortGabbz · 24/01/2019 22:53

The River Wild with Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon - can watch it again and again.
Kevin Bacon going against type.

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 24/01/2019 23:02

Ghost ship, this is so underrated.
Also it’s not light but the deep end of the ocean with Michelle pffefier and whoopi Goldberg.
Also not light but worth a watch.
A walk to remember... gets me every time

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 24/01/2019 23:14

If you liked Clue, you’ll probably like Murder by Death, comedy based on And Then There Were None.

FoxFoxSierra · 25/01/2019 00:44

Bridesmaids, fucking hilarious!

PatPhoenix · 25/01/2019 00:46

Soapdish starring Sally Field
Tootsie (not exactly under appreciated but it really is still fabulous)
Broadcast News. 'It must be great always knowing best' 'No, it's awful' [maybe you had to be there]

xWallToWallBastardsx · 25/01/2019 07:54

Bring it on. Gabrielle Union and Kirsten Dunst as head cheerleaders that go head to head.

Coyote Ugly. Improbable bullshit. Fun though.

California Man. Two lads dig up a caveman that survives gazillions of years and suddenly becomes the most popular guy in school.

MissMarplesKnitting · 25/01/2019 07:56

Hot Fuzz. Utterly ridiculous, so funny and well written and full of catchphrases

RiverTam · 25/01/2019 07:57

Noon i love The Fall as well! (I ❤❤❤ Lee Pace).

I love the first Twilight film, the cinematography is beautiful.

DappledThings · 25/01/2019 09:08

Grosse Pointe Blank. My favourite film. For our wedding our tables were named just after stuff we liked. So we had a cricket table, a dog table, a festival, a band, a few more and a Grosse Pointe Blank table.

Also So I Married An Axe Murderer.

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 25/01/2019 10:12

YES!

Grosse Pointe Blank. - John Cusack starring as a hitman whose secretary (played by his sister Joan) sees his next job takes him to where he used to live at the same time his old high school is having its reunion.

The Milagro Beanfield War. - not laugh out loud funny, quite sad in places, but whimsical.

RiverTam · 25/01/2019 10:18

I wouldn't call Grosse Point Blank an unappreciated film, though - loads of people love it (including me, haven't seen it for ages though - time for a rewatch!).
