I love many of these already mentioned, to which I'll add:
Dead Again
When a mute woman suffering from amnesia (Emma Thompson) arrives at the gates of an old orphanage, private investigator Mike Church (Kenneth Branagh) is asked to find out who she is. With the help of a hypnotist (Derek Jacobi), the woman regains her voice and recalls vivid past memories of a couple from the 1940s torn apart by murder. Church begins to develop feelings for the woman, who he calls Grace, and then discovers he has a connection to the tragic couple from the 40s.
The Lake House
Fantasy romance about a relationship that forms between an architect (Keanu Reeves) and the doctor (Sandra Bullock) who lived in his new lakeside house two years previously. Only able to communicate by passing letters into the house's mailbox, the pair begin to fall for each other, but will they ever be together?
White Palace
Max Baron (James Spader) is a Jewish advertising executive in his 20s who's still getting over the death of his wife. Nora Baker (Susan Sarandon) is a 40-something diner waitress who enjoys the wilder side of life. Mismatched or not, their attraction is instant and smoldering. With time, however, their class and age differences become an obstacle in their relationship, especially since Max can't keep Nora a secret from his Jewish friends and upper-crust associates forever.
And not really a film, but a stand alone hour long episode of Rik Mayall Presents called Dancing Queen
Dancing Queen is a 1993 British romantic comedy film starring Rik Mayall and Helena Bonham Carter. It follows the misfortune of Neil, a bridegroom trying to get back to his bride with the help of his newfound friend Pandora/Julie the stripper.
