Does anybody else call the end of the bread

A knobbler? Or heard it ever be called this?
I said it the other day and had my whole team looking blankly at me....
I/my family can’t be the only people in the world who use this term?
Most people just said they called it the crust? I have heard one person call it a ‘knobby’ before, but to be fair it’s never really a word that comes up often in conversation is it?

If it's a sliced loaf it's a crust, if it's a baguette type bread we just ask who wants the end

shutlingsloe · 15/01/2019 19:01

Knob end here! Grin

Foonababoonalagoona · 15/01/2019 19:01

I've ever heard it called a knobbler, I call it the heel.

It’s ‘the heel’ in this house 🍞

Gatekeeper · 15/01/2019 19:02

Nope, knuckle-end or heel

VictoriaBun · 15/01/2019 19:03

Knobby.

RedForShort · 15/01/2019 19:03

I say the crust. (Which is bit vague i admit, as there's a crust around each slice, but that definite article makes all the difference 😁.)

Other words in the house are 'heel' and 'end bits'.

Not a knobbler in sight

Justmuddlingalong · 15/01/2019 19:03

The ootsider here.

TheSpottedZebra · 15/01/2019 19:04

Nubby for me.

icelollycraving · 15/01/2019 19:04

With family, knob. ‘Do you fancy the knob?’

Lolly49 · 15/01/2019 19:05

Knobbie here,

Drogosnextwife · 15/01/2019 19:06

It's the outsider in here.

PreseaCombatir · 15/01/2019 19:06

Knob end here
Haha, I might have to adopt this! 😂

itbemay · 15/01/2019 19:06

The heel for us to @Nubbled

winefortea · 15/01/2019 19:07

Heel here too.

Applescoop · 15/01/2019 19:07

It's called the 'heel'.

Wotrewelookinat · 15/01/2019 19:07

I think you’ll find it’s called The Crusty End.

MrsBrianWarner · 15/01/2019 19:07

Endy bit

Setiously.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 15/01/2019 19:09

A baguette is a knob Grin

WhatWouldChristineCagneyDo · 15/01/2019 19:12

It's the nubbin, which is vaguely sexual and entertains me enormously.

WeeBeasties · 15/01/2019 19:14

It's the nubb-end here.

foxyknoxy30 · 15/01/2019 19:15

The outsider

Wonkydonkey44 · 15/01/2019 19:15

We are a knob end here as well 😁

WeCameToDance · 15/01/2019 19:15

I say the crust but I feel really boring now. Im going to have to invent a better word for it. Ive heard of it being called the knobly before, so kind of similar.

ThoughtForFood · 15/01/2019 19:15

The back.
