twas the night before Christmas.... what's happening in your house?

dcs went to bed no trouble... for the first time this month I'd hasten to add.

my dh is building the baby's Xmas present. I've done my jobs and am settled with a glass of fizz.... but I've just remembered I have a last minute present to wrap 🤦‍♀️

We have randomly landed on the American version of the Office. It's quite funny.

DS has new Fortnite pyjamas and will be heading bedwards shortly...

Dh and dcat are asleep next to me on the sofa. Dtwins (6) have just fallen asleep after looking for Father Christmas from their bedroom window for the past 45 minutes.
I am drinking prosecco alone watching TV.

Sat here at the pc,in my pjs with a glass of wine in total silence. Bliss after the manic last 4 days at work.

Son up in his room pottering on his laptop.

Turkey and lamb in fridge,everything else ready. Munchies on the side.
Perfect.

Dd is asleep, all pressies wrapped and under the tree. I having a glass of wine in bed with a nagging cough, I suspect it's pleurisy as I've terrible backache and I'm going to sleep soon, I'm knackered.

pyjamas on. I’ll nod off on the couch whilst DCs watch a movie.
I suggested putting presents under the tree but they are insisting FC leaves them in the Christmas sacks.

I used to read them Night Before Christmas when they were little, so I might read that before I go sleep (don’t think they’ll humour me this year).

Adult DC are home, but they have gone to the pub. Presents are wrapped, food is prepped. Ddog 1 & 2 are asleep. I am drinking wine and watching Scrubs.

I'm having a break in bed, after a full day of shopping, cooking, outing and walk with relatives. Got to wrap some presents and then I'm done.

Watching Child Genius.

My Dad has something stuck in his foot. Mum and I are taking turns to operate on it. Festive!

It's just me at home as dp has gone to his mums for Xmas (no kids). I'm having an early night as I'm very tired. Not very festive!

Trying to persuade dd2 to go to sleep, she's 4 and a bugger for sleep, then it's present time and bed.

Just home from dinner & drinks - kids won’t go to bed until at least 10..then will wait until midnight and put out the bits

Splayed out on the couch with dd. Dh on the other couch with the dog and ds upstairs. Older ds in pub doing secret Santa with friends. No sign of the kids going to bed yet so say it will be a late one.

DH and I are getting smashed watching Christmas films. Loving life

Dd in her room after arguing with her that she needs a shower and to wash her clothes. We could smell the b.o. over 4 curries. She's 18 FFS.

Ds in his room staying out of it by playing on his Xbox.

DP in bed as he's on call last night, tonight, tomorrow night and the night after.

I'm downstairs wondering why I bloody bothered with any of it. Debating whether to just say fuck it and go to bed myself. I can't even drink as I may have to drive later.

Ds1 is on his pc ds2 is up to high doe dd is watching a Christmas movie dh is prepping food for tomorrow ddog is licking himself

We've just watched Home Alone and we're wrangling the kids to bed soon.

Pressies out when they are asleep and we'll have a Baileys before bed.

DS's playing xbox, DP is bathing DD while she sings George Ezras 'Shotgun' at the top of her lungs. She is going straight to bed then I have about 10 presents to wrap and lay everything out for the morning.

DH is making stuffing to take to DPs tomorrow, I am upstairs geeeing the baby to sleep (hopefully!).,We have both just eaten fish ffinger sandwiches. I need to have a good tidy up and put some laundry away before bed!

I went to work(had to stand up on the tram there and back) came home,showered and hairwashed,cooked some bacon,cremated it as i had my face stuck in social media,before i knew it i had drunk 3 mugs of tea,a plate of marmalade on toast to take the taste off the burnt bacon,i am so full i think i am going to burst,sat watching eastenders,Peaceful christmas to you all,Thankyou for keeping me virtual company

Feeding the baby to sleep was an optimistic term. I am in fact trying to post a nipple into his mouth whilst he flaps his arms, giggles and occasionally chews a muslin.

DD goes to sleep at 7pm, all the presents are out and we're watching Love Actually with wine and cheese.

I did all my wrapping last nighy, just had some indian. Kids all bathed and watching tv. Got some dishes to do and go for a nice hot bath soon. Had a disaster of a day so nice to be home and cosy.
