Personal assistant = someone who assists a person with disabilities to live a meaningful life.

OP posts:
LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 00:36

Personal Assistant is simply another word for support worker, I think. My friend with MS refers to her support worker as her PA.

Fretfulparent · 07/01/2019 00:37

I believe the op and think this is possibly her

www.jmw.co.uk/services-for-you/clinical-negligence/spinal-injury-claims/cauda-equina/success-stories/record-payout-for-ces

HirooOnoda · 07/01/2019 00:44

@seafour @LuckyLou7

Thanks for the clarification. I am still a little perplexed why a supper worker would be posting under her own account talking about ‘herself’ in reference to you. Maybe they have more time than I realised

KatesMott · 07/01/2019 00:48

@Fretfulparent it’s not about believing the OP or not, it’s more the, even in her own words sometimes ‘dramatic’ posting and the undercurrent of passive nastiness to her HCPs, her new carer in particular, that have pissed some posters off I think. Plus the fervent threads being created seemingly in support but which, in my option and I dare say the opinion of others, seem a tad narcissistic and, if she is that easily identifiable, mean that some of the people she talks about in a rather disparaging manner could quite easily be identified themselves

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 07/01/2019 00:51

I'm not sure it is Fretful. OP has said elsewhere that she broke her neck and that it went undetected for many years whilst that case study just says she injured her neck.

LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 00:57

Cauda Equina Syndrome doesn't cause a paralysed diaphragm either.

KatesMott · 07/01/2019 00:57

Also if OP did get a settlement of 2.6 million I’d like to think she would be a bit kinder to her carer who had the audacity to fall down the stairs instead of saying “I won't be paying the extortionate fees for tomorrow if she's not fit to work”

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 07:20

Quite frankly, the number of times the OP has said extortionate fees, if I was the agency the carer came from I would be sacking her off. That’s basically accusing them of sharp business practice and overcharging

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 07/01/2019 07:34

I’d still like the op to answer what facial cancer she has had that has now recovered so well
I have seen first hand the devestation these kinds of tumours cause and the lengthy and painful treatment involved and the dreadful trauma the scarring and disfigurement causes
If this is indeed something she has
“Over egged” then maybe she would like to come and meet with some of these people and understand the shameful thing she has done in the face of their bravery and lack of self pity

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 07/01/2019 07:36

I'm popping the kettle on, who wants tea?

I've been hiding in the den for a bit, cuddling cats. Not sure why, but I retreated into myself for a while there. Sorry I wasn't contributing anything, but thanks to everyone who did.

Happy New Year @seafour & DH and to you too @Thefabulouspa - I hope you recover soon x

I'm escaping into work today from a house filled with boxes and Christmas decoration and a grumpy bad-back-suffering DH of my own. Mind you, today is my first day of line management and I'm cacking it because my lovely supportive line manager is selfishly on holiday at the moment. My nerves are sly high. Hey ho. I can't be so bad that they'll quit on day one... right?!

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 07:50

Seafour. Are you going to answer any of my points about how horrible you have been about some of those involved in your care since your latest operation?

They’re identifiable. The carer. The pharmacist. The gp. The practice nurse. Any of them.

There is a reason why people are advised not to post on social media in a case where there might be legal action. Quite apart from anything else, if the actions of any of these people lead to you having to take further legal action at any point in the future, you have seriously compromised your ability to obtain a fair trial because of the amount that you have posted here. Can you honestly not see that, your attitude towards them absolutely stinks and if anybody has taken screenshots or otherwise shared that with those people involved in this you could find yourself on a very sticky wicket

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 07/01/2019 07:51

Ash leave em to it
There’s nowt so blind as them that will not see

welcometonarnia · 07/01/2019 07:59

FWIW, I don't think Seafour is a troll either, but I do think she's a gross embellisher. A removed skin mole means disfigurement, a neck injury means it's broken and she's a medical marvel, etc. There's no need for it, Seafour, you're a great writer and your conditions are enough without all the exaggeration.

The thing that really got my back up though was the multiple times the NHS has been absolutely roasted on this thread. According to the OP, they would have killed her many, MANY times over and there's something about that fact that bothers me. NHS isn't perfect and I understand there's a huge trust issue there with the OP, but come on...any amount of gratitude would just impact your life in a more positive way, surely.

The Fat Carer just sent me over the edge, frankly.

BollocksIsNoACompleteSentence · 07/01/2019 08:35

With a large payout - we don't know it was that exact figure, but large enough to buy diamonds, wouldn't you pay your very Fabulous PA decent sick pay seafour?

I also agree that a person posting photos of themselves and detailing their opinion of lots of HCPs (both professionalism and appearance, whether fat or dishy Hmm) is really inappropriate. I wouldn't dream of doing this and don't know anyone else who would.

It would be interesting to know how many MNers have reported this thread previously. I'm amazed so many of these recent comments have stayed up and wonder if this is a deliberate move by MNHQ?

freeAnneBoleyn · 07/01/2019 08:38

You did jump the shark with the fat bumbling carer, Seafour Grin

magimedi · 07/01/2019 08:40

"I also agree that a person posting photos of themselves and detailing their opinion of lots of HCPs (both professionalism and appearance, whether fat or dishy hmm) is really inappropriate. I wouldn't dream of doing this and don't know anyone else who would. "

Totally agree & am amazed this thread is still up.

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 09:03

'FWIW, I don't think Seafour is a troll either, but I do think she's a gross embellisher. Yes, the op clearly has medical problems but seems to almost thrive on the drama of it and the hcp descriptions are totally inappropriate as she has identified herself.

As I mentioned pages ago op access some counselling. Try to come to terms with being chronically ill. It will be a challenge but you seem to be a bit obsessed with being 'critcially ill'. Be kinder to hcps and get a cleaner as well as a carer.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 09:03

So in this thread alone and ONLY from seafour or her fantastic carer, we have

Allegations that a care / treatment plan wasn’t followed. These could lead to disciplinary action against the identifiable members of staff as a result of the posting here. It is also Trial by social media with no right of reply.

The following comment, again about identifiable people: “Fucking dick shit, arsehole doctors who don't read notes and jump to the wrong conclusions can fuck off to the far side of fuck and stick a red hot poker up theirs areses sideways.”. That’s just so far wrong it’s shocking.

Calling an identifiable consultant “the dick shit consultant”

Thefabulousspa reports an incidence of clinical negligence. Again. Serious allegation made on social media where there is no right of reply by the staff and where staff could be reported t professional bodies on the basis of posts here, because they are identifiable.

That’s from the first 100 posts on this thread alone.

I am not saying that Seafour is a troll, not at all, but what I am saying is that some of what she’s posting here is exceedingly ill advised and could get not just her but also mumsnet into hot water.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 07/01/2019 09:04

I've been reading since thread 1.
I think it must be a case of giving people enough rope to hang themselves by now.
The sock puppetry is quite funny by now tbh. I imagine a little row of knitted footwear all sitting in a row with their fingers in their ears going "la la not listening".

The worst thing is how real HCPs and carers have given their time, energy and advice, only to be told over and over they're wrong at best, or liars at worst. That's shameful.

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 09:16

'The worst thing is how real HCPs and carers have given their time, energy and advice, only to be told over and over they're wrong at best, or liars at worst. That's shameful.'

This is what puzzles me. On a public site the op has identified herself with a photo and while I don't dispute the original negligence claim, the derogatory comments since about hcps has at times been defamatory. I'd be worried about legal action tbh op. Stranger things have happened on mn.

AngelinaNeurosurgeon · 07/01/2019 09:18

Seafour, can’t you change your GP practice? I expect both you and they would be happier given that you sued at least one of your current GP’s and they now won’t do home visits. It doesn’t sound as if you have any confidence in your current surgery.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 09:18

Second 200 posts

The spa person tells of 2 incidences of negligence - one where seafour wasleft to slip into unconsciousness and her brave DH had to put er ventilatior on. Again. Allegation of substandard care possible negligence. On social media. Hcps identifiable.

Ten we have another incidence of substandard care where if it wasn’t for the wonderful spa and DH fighting for seafour to get a blood transfusion who knows what would have happened. Again the clinicians involved are identifiable and being slated here.

More calling of doctors “dick shit”

An allegation that the doctors are trying to kill Seafour. More than once. A whole slew of “downs” that are basically slating identifiable HCPs and alleging clinical negligence and gross incompetence.

Shocking communication with a doctor again alleging all sorts.

Medications are time critical and were not given. Again. Clinical negligence trial by social media. Could lead to report to prof body as these people are all identifiable.

Calling a physio a terrorist.

Description of hospital pressuring her

How can MN not see that those sort of things shouldn’t be let stand here? They are liable as well as the op for the postings here. Iirc. I hope they’ve got deep pockets and iron clad knickers on. It’s just awful what seafour has said about those people. Defamatory.
