FWIW I think the NHS is marvelous for looking after dds scoloiosis and making sure her back brace was made correctly to suit her and the great care we received after her spinal surgery and the months spent at the RNOH, it took a very long time for her to be able to come home but her treatment was fantastic, having to log roll and not be able to get out of bed for weeks isn't fun for a teenager but it was necessary. All the young people on her spinal ward had been there months and became friends.
I won't mention her surgeons name her suffice to say he's brilliant

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 09:28

You’re not supposed to be abusive to medical staff. Every trust has signs up about it but this thread is full of verbally abusive rants against medical staff.

How is that ok?

welcometonarnia · 07/01/2019 09:31

That's wonderful, Portia. The NHS staff I know personally work so bloody hard for such little reward these days other than the satisfaction that they help save lives, really. They certainly don't do it for the pay or the workload.

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 09:39

'The NHS staff I know personally work so bloody hard for such little reward these days other than the satisfaction that they help save lives, really. They certainly don't do it for the pay or the workload.'

This is so true. When I've been in hospital the staff have mostly being great. On any occasion when there have been problems I deal with it face to face in a confidential manner. Not on a public forum.

I'm still agog at the workload the carer has. Carer, cleaner, dog walker. Unless you're a mum they are 3 different job roles!

LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 09:40

I'm an NHS nurse. If I could identify myself as being involved in the care in this instance, I would be talking to my line manager and NHS Trust about the issues raised. I would also self refer to the NMC so they could investigate the claims made.

However, I don't work in a Derbyshire HDU nor am I a community nurse prescriber. I don't think I've posted anything to out myself professionally.

welcometonarnia · 07/01/2019 09:44

The NHS trust in OP's area are under risk of the DM picking this story up and running with it...hopefully it's all a bit too OTT even for the DM. 😬

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 09:45

I googled from info here. The trust list consultants and the ward sister.

CommunistLegoBloc · 07/01/2019 09:51

I can’t find anything online about a new HDU being opened in Derbyshire. Isn’t that the kind of thing the local press would pick up? The NHS opened an HDU especially for the OP.

PortiaCastis · 07/01/2019 10:04

I think getting diamonds out of an nhs trust is taking money away from care of other patients
Diamonds are forever someone's life isn't

BigApple11 · 07/01/2019 10:07

I actually feel quite disturbed about how this thread is going. I loved reading it from the beginning, felt huge compassion for you and your journey. Seafour, you are a very good writer. However, why embellish? I'm glad I never actually got on the bus. Felt very uncomfortable about that whole thing. Now feel confused Confused

And no one ever told me what a mint roller is!

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 10:20

Op, as more people point out it really isn't ok to talk about hcps as you do and exaggerate could you take some positives from this?

Everyone wishes you well. Honestly though access counselling and try to process things a bit more constructively. I'm sorry you have medical challenges, many people do, you need some distraction even if it's just reading or watching tv. Best wishes.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 07/01/2019 10:21

Very quiet isn’t it
Wonder where all the buslings are Hmm

HoraceCope · 07/01/2019 10:40

Op you did suggest a blog in the beginning, perhaps that would be better, are blogs more private?

freeAnneBoleyn · 07/01/2019 10:41

I don’t think there were ever as many ‘buslings’ as we were led to believe...

freeAnneBoleyn · 07/01/2019 10:42

Dont forget all the vitriol towards the step children and their mother too, who was apparently faking an illness all of her own!

Seafour · 07/01/2019 10:45

It's saddened me the way this thread has changed, there are answers to all of your questions in the thread if you take the time to read it.
I set out to document my journey, I have done just that I haven't needed to embellish events or my circumstances I have praised the NHS and what it's given me many times, but it's easy to ignore those posts when you want to hurt and destroy someone who you don't know in real life. I've also suffered life changing injuries because of some sub standard care I've had from the NHS and yes that does make me very anxious about my care.
Does it make you feel good? Does it give you some weird sort of satisfaction having a pop at someone when they are at their most vulnerable? I'm genuinely interested. Some of you seem to be going to extraordinary lengths to try and catch me out or prove me a liar, you won't be able to because I have been open and honest, but if you have the time and energy and while you're trying to take me down you're leaving someone else alone then carry on.

For those of you who think I have nothing in my life other than this thread, you couldn't be more wrong, I spend very little time on here and certainly wouldn't waste my time and energy searching out every comment a poster had ever made in order to find a few I could use as ammunition to hurt them. I would wager that I have made far more supportive, informative and kind posts than harsh and critical ones.

Where are the Buslings, they're in my in box still being kind, supportive and encouraging me to get on with my recovery and doing what I can to live a life that nobody would choose.

Your comments towards identifiable healthcare professionals are horrendous and abusive and defamatory.

I’m not saying you’re a liar. I’m saying you are being extraordinarily nasty to people who are caring for you and some of what you are saying is defamatory and would lead to a report to a professional body for them. Because they can be identified. Because you’ve identified yourself. And that is not ok.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 10:49

And don’t talk crap. You’ve admitted embellishing and being “dramatic” about the open wound all over half your face from the skin cancer that was so bad your adult children were in tears because of your disfigurement.

That open wound that completely disappeared in less than 3 months.

HebeMumsnet · 07/01/2019 10:58

Morning, everyone.

We've been through this thread this morning as we were concerned about the tone it had suddenly taken last night.

As you know, we can never truly vouch for any user with complete certainty. We simply have no way of proving they are who they say they are. However, we have had a very thorough look behind the scenes in this case and, while we can't say too much, we can say that from all the information we have access to, we are as satisfied as we can ever be that the OP is genuine.

We can see there have been some concerns about HCPs being identifiable. Again, we've had a look and we can't see that that is the case, but if you have seen posts that you think do identify any professionals in real life and portray them in a negative way too, please do report the posts in question to us and we will happily take another look at that.

Could we ask everyone to remember that, regardless of what they think about the OP's tone and the content of her posts, she did begin this thread to find (and also give) support, so we'd ask people to post kindly.

Thank you.

PortiaCastis · 07/01/2019 10:58

Agree with Cunt you're identifiable to anyone that's looked after you as you've posted your pic with your name in the top left corner but I did you a favour and reported that pic so MnHQ confacted you about it, thing is luvvie you could get sued and maybe lose your diamonds as you're not the only person who can file a law suit

HirooOnoda · 07/01/2019 10:58

@Seafour How very dramatic Shock.

I don’t think anyone wishes you ill and almost all are sympathetic to your plight, whatever that plight may actually be.

“Some of you seem to be going to extraordinary lengths to try and catch me out or prove me a liar, you won't be able to” - this is despite admitting, after essentially being called out, that you had lied / embellished or in your own words dramatised at least several of your tales

I hope you recover from your physical and mental travails and I am happy your ‘buslings’ are there to offer you the support you clearly need. I would however encourage you and those who support you to try and treat individuals and especially your health care professionals with the respect they deserve

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 10:59

The HCPS are identifiable Hebe because Seafour has posted a picture of herself.

And that is not ok.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 10:59

And MN are condoning written abuse towards identifiable health care professionals 😱

LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 11:01

This is one instance where I would like to see one of the red tops pick up a thread and turn it into an article. At least then the NHS trust and the healthcare professionals involved in her care would have the opportunity to respond to the defamatory comments.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 11:02

I’m NOT saying Seafour is a troll.

But. By HER OWN ADMISSION she posted overdramatically about the skin cancer.

And what’s been said here about IDENTFIABLE PEOPLE is potentially legally actionable by those people should they see it.

🤷‍♀️
