Back in the day, you’d see the same names over & over again & you would literally notice if someone hadnt posted for a just a few days.
Is Mumsnet just too big now to ‘miss’ anyone?

I don't think anyone would miss me. I recognise a lot of names on this thread which tells me I spend too much time on here. I miss MrsDeVere. MN Trolls on Reddit has got rid of some people I think.

No one would notice if I just disappeared from here and I’m perfectly ok with that. I’ve had the same name for years but can go for a few weeks without posting anything and can count on one hand the number of threads i’ve started that have hit 2 pages.

I don't think anyone would notice, there are so many threads and so many posters that the likelihood of noticing someone, a stranger, hadn't been online would be very slim.

I name-change a lot these days, after years of having one username and kind of 'knowing' other posters like LRDthefeministdragon and Maryz and cardibach and usualsuspect.

My partner would notice, because he'd miss out on all the 'oh my god, guess what this eejit thinks' comments. But I doubt anyone here would notice or care...isn't that the joy of a largely anon forum. I don't read usernames so I could be hating a person in one thread and being nice to them in the next without realising!
