Maybe this should go in celebrity gossip if such a board exists but I feel so sorry for his girlfriend and her husband

How likely is it they’ll be voted out of Strictly this weekend?

why is the assumption that Katya has or needs help with the choreography. Do we assume all the female pros need help too, yet all the men manfully manage alone?

No, loads of the pros (male & female) have help with the choreo (and not just the non-10 dances). I have a (not at all famous) dance acquaintance who has helped out a lot in the past, and several ex-pros have done it too (Camilla was involved for a long while after she left as a pro, I believe)

It's not acknowledged much on the show because it doesn't fit the beeb's preferred narrative, whereby the couples are a devoted unit who always get on like a house on fire, have wonderfully Puritan work ethics, and create all of the 'magic' all by themselves.

There have been rumours in previous series, but never accompanied by film and photos as proof - everyone else has been more discreet!

It is unlikely that there is a clause in their contracts that enables them to be sacked in this kind of event I do wonder if there will be next year For the BBC, it's not just the viewers but also the likelihood of attracting contestants/professionals in the future which will be a major concern. Strictly is big business for the BBC and the show is licenced to a lot of other countries, so keeping the money brand looking good is a factor.

I don't know why Sean(n) hasn't stepped down tbh. It would be the best thing to do to stem the tide of adverse publicity. At the moment he looks like a complete knob! He'll look a lot worse if he turns up on the dancefloor on Saturday night.

The whole thing is very embarrassing and unfortunate - Sean and Katya are complete idiots to do something like that, especially in a public place! What were they thinking?

Sean is obviously a bad boyfriend boyfriend at best, and just an all round unpleasant man. BUT, I have to say I find Rebecca's public statement quite embarrassing. If I were in that situation, I'd hope I would have a bit more dignity and not air my dirty laundry all over social media like that. There's nothing to gain from it - she says she has a good network of family and friends, so they will all know the truth and surely that's what matters - not the opinions of strangers on the internet. Everyone already thought he was a douchebag before her statement, NO ONE was on his side. People are cheated on every day, she's not the first and won't be the last, but most people don't want to share such details about their relationship with the world, celebrity or not.

Nothing to do with dirty laundry. She is also in the public eye and has every right to put her point of view across. He has humiliated her in the public eye.

That's not including the fact neither Sean(n) nor Katya have has the guts to apologise to her before releasing identicate press statements.

She's not really in the public eye @SillySallySingsSongs, she's not a celebrity and her claim to fame is dating a crap comedian. Though I suppose this situation has pushed her into the public eye.

It's also highly unlikely Sean or Katya wrote those statements themselves

Released on their private Twitter feed. Absolutely no excuse for not even apologising to her. None at all.

Yes she sure was humiliated in the public eye!

I'm so glad she put out such a gutsy statement in response, - if nothing else to inform the public that Katya and Sean(n) had not actually apologised to her.

I think it's still a family show Undercoverbanana, it's only a certain section of the viewing audience that are even aware of any of this. My Mum and DD (aged 10) both watch Strictly, they both only watch the show and have no clue about any controversy that happens outside of the broadcast show. They don't watch ITT or read Monkseal or the tabloids, it's still all magic and glitter for them.

Well I for one can't wait until Saturday!

It was a really uncool move, jeopardising both relationships and their time on the show (for surely they'll get booted by the public this week). Bet the ratings will soar though!

Such a shame too as The Matrix dance was awesome and my 8yo DD loves them, but I'm hoping they're out this week as punishment for being dicks to their respective partners.

I wonder what'll happen next though - will Katya's relationship end? Will they shack up together after all?

I think he will quit before Saturday, I can't see them going through with it.

There are rumours Katya and Neil have an open relationship, but I very much doubt she will shack up with Sean

if Katya's husband is gay as others have said - and judging by his "weekend" pics....... then you could call that an "open relationship" I guess, plus it sounds like the dancing community do exactly what they like with whoever they like..... however if the relationship is a bit wobbly (or your boyfriend is a nob) don't do strictly!

It does seem like the culture in the dancing community to go from partner to partner. they all seem to get on remarkably well afterwards too, so maybe it's what they expect. The only dancers I know who have had children are Anton, who is in a LTR and probably too old for that shennanigens now and a couple of the female dancers who married outside the dancing community, so maybe if they decide to stay there, they do expect to have open relationships.

Unfair to speculate imo. I have seen a couple of different interpretations of those pictures. One being 'why would she want him when she has me'

It is all irrelevant anyway. Whether their relationship is open or not Sean's wasn't. Katya knew that. She is as responsible as he is.

Brendan Cole, Erin Boag, Karen Hardy, Darren and Lilya off the top of my head, have all had children.

None of them are married to dancers though are they? Erin Boag was who I was thinking of. I might be wrong. I dont know enough about it. It was just an observation from the couples who are married and still on Strictly.

Darren and Lilya are married to each other and Karen Hardy is married to a pro dancer.

Erin Boag has a DC and so does Anton. They were pro partners but not personal partners
