How likely is it they’ll be voted out of Strictly this weekend?

I don't understand why he was out drinking with her in the first place. Although I feel sorry for his girlfriend, he has no obligation to be with her at all. They are over now. It happens all the time. Hardly the crime of the century.

I think it would come as a bit of a shock to Vincent to learn that Flavia was single when she went off with Matt.

The reason Neil doesn't have a Celebrity partner on the show is because he does a lot of the choreography, both the group dances and the routines Katya does with her celebs, I think he's often in the training room with them. She is easily the best professional dancer on Strictly and it would be a shame to lose her, but oh what a mess for all involved.

Somebody who worked backstage on Strictly apparently said that Katya and Neil; and Aliajz (sp?) and Janette have open relationships. Not sure if this is true obviously.

I don't think that's a big deal. They all get help with things like Charleston and Argentine Tango, plenty of the professionals are partners and help each other, and by all accounts they help even if they aren't partners.

I read a comment somewhere that alot of the marriages between dancers are business arrangements, for visas etc. I'm also surprised at how few openly gay dancers there have been on Strictly, even by non-dance world stats they seem underepresented so I would imagine some beards too.

Well yes, Artem also dated the female judge from Dancing with The Stars. I bet that was awkward lol.

Matthew Cutler was married to a woman (Nicole Cutler, his pro partner on the show) but is gay. I think she needed a visa.

Very silly and selfish of them, and I agree that their apology is more about getting caught.

But I really don't think he should quit the show. Think of it in an ordinary work environment. Joe Bloggs is working on a contract basis and snogs Mandy in accounts. Joe's wife is embarrassed and says if you love me, you'll quit. But Joe Bloggs can't just walk out on a contract without any notice.

From Strictly's perspective, they have a set number of celeb dancers, to be eliminated one each week. If one quits, they're left a week short.

I have met tons of male dancers and maybe 3 straight ones ever so it's VERY odd how the Strictly ones all seem to be married to women.. !

None of it surprises me. There seem to be so many of them who behave in this way.

Actually, the thing that surprised me the most was the pic of Sean lighting a fag for Katya. I can’t believe anyone who needs to maintain a high level of fitness smokes. ...misses the point entirely...

I can see that - it's very physical and there's a lot of bodily contact. Rubbing up against someone rather attractive for 12 hours a day is bound to lead to thoughts...

As for gay dancers, the only one I can remember off-hand is Robin.

The Jones's having an open marriage and/or beard relationship makes perfect sense and presumably is why he isnt that bothered

I’m actually a bit gutted. I love Katya. I can’t help but think less of her after this. Which is a bit ridiculous as I’m an ex-dancer so I know exactly what goes on! I saw the video and it seems a bit staged to me actually. His hands seemed to be very carefully placed. Either way, staged or not, it gets in the way of what is a brilliant arts/entertainment show and just cheapens it all for me.

Not true - they just have 3 instead of 4 for the final. Kelly Brook left when her father passed away and that’s what happened then.

I've seen Seann Walsh a few times live and he talks about his girlfriend in his act. When they first got together he was really cute as he was all smiley and gushy about her but when I saw him last time he was actually quite rude about her.

It’s just grim. I wish people wouldn’t behave like this. Fucking hurts other people and actually perpetuates a culture where cheating is normalised, thereby hurting yet more people.

Grow the fuck up. You marry someone, you respect the vows. What’s so difficult?

They’re not the first and they won’t be the last but they were reckless to get caught. Their tweets made me lose some respect for them. It was handled very badly. I don’t think Seann will last much longer on this show. Shame, I liked him.
