Maybe this should go in celebrity gossip if such a board exists but I feel so sorry for his girlfriend and her husband

How likely is it they’ll be voted out of Strictly this weekend?

Aliona and Katya (Virshilas) have also had a baby since leaving Strictly. Darren and Lilia are a professional dancing couple as well as being married.

BBC have now put the list up of dances and songs for the weekend, they are on it (Charleston). Wrong move by the BBC I think tbh.

I think the BBC are hoping the public and judges do their job for them. Bottom 2 then judges vote them off.

What if they are not the worst in the bottom two? It's not really the judges responsibility, Sean(n) should be stepping down but OTOH, if he insists on toughing it out until Saturday he'll have wrecked what little remains of his career. Every cloud ....

Exactly what can the BBC do though - two people were caught snogging in the street - ok they were in other relationships but they were not working at the time and its hardly a crime.

They cannot terminate contracts at this point without paying and why would they I suspect a lot of people will be tuning in to see it

Ooof, that's going to be hideous! Watching them trying to pull off 'Fun! Fun! Fun! Wacky! Wacky! Wacky!' is going to be excruciating. I can't wait! Grin

[caveat: I think Seann's bottle will go well before Saturday and he'll withdraw. He may well be an egotistical arsehole, but I doubt even he has got the chutzpah to put himself through that)

There were stories in the summer that they were struggling to cast the celebrities this year because so many were put off by the ‘curse’. At the time I assumed it was put out by the BBC to manage expectations before the celebs were announced but if there was any truth to it then, they will have a real problem for 2019 after all this...

They weren't on a show with the person they were cheating with rubbing his ex face in it tbf.

No one is saying he can't carry on being a crap comedian but to carry on with this show isn't imo a good move.

Ok fair enough. It was just my unfounded theory that if you are willingly in an open relationship it might be a decision to not bring children into the mix until you have got it out of your system or retired from the pro dance circuit.
I think Sean's career, such as it is, will be fine if he lays low for a while. God showbiz is littered with cheaters. We'd be watching wall to wall Cliff Richard if we stopped all badly behaved people in showbiz from working. I do think he should withdraw from Strictly voluntarily though. I cant see how the BBC can terminate his contract, but it would be excruciating to watch them now. Never mind what will happen if he gets booed by the audience and what is going to be on their rehearsal tapes Hmm

Yes I think he will walk - I can't imagine the atmosphere is that great at rehearsals or around BBC staff, the celebs and dancers.

OMG - the BBC have just given a report on the kissing story and contents of Rebecca's statement, and confirming he will be still dancing on "the flagship family entertainment show."

Between the lines the BBC are not happy.

On the news! I have heard it all now. Anyone would think Seann (and why is he the one getting 90% of the flack) had murdered someone.

Total over reaction by the press and tv. I don't agree with infidelity at all and even a snog is wrong but it's a matter for Seann, his girlfriend, Katya and Neil not the rest of the UK

Well yeah if they hadn't been snogging each other's faces off in public. They haven't exactly been discrete about it.

The industry they are both is reliant in the public and publicity. If you caught it, you can't really complain if you do something wrong it blows up.
