Maybe this should go in celebrity gossip if such a board exists but I feel so sorry for his girlfriend and her husband

How likely is it they’ll be voted out of Strictly this weekend?

Not really. They are both in professions that rely on the public. You can't complain if this then backfires.

His ex's letter is very telling. They both issued almost identical media statements at the same time yet neither had said anything to his GF.

It doesn't really work as a publicity stunt. Only the girlfriend comes out looking good and I don't think she could have set this up. Find it bizarre that people think she couldn't have written that statement herself. It's hardly War and Peace.

Seann has gone from being someone no one had heard of to being known primarily for cheating on his gf's birthday. Katya and Neil don't seem to care and they risk trying to become bigger than the show which doesn't go down well.

They are being given such a hard time due to the circumstances of the photo. She is married to another professional on the show and Sean(n)'s girlfriend was pictured quite prominently at the show whooping and cheering at the dance.
She was made to look like and idiot and humiliated in public. She has then accused him of emotional abuse and gaslighting. I dont think its a publicity stunt. I think he is just a stupid cheat and she is in a marriage of convenience/ immigration scam with a gay man, so she's getting it elsewhere.

That snog was a ridiculously long passionate one. In view of the fact they both had long term partners and this is a family show - it's a pretty unethical and disrespectful thing to do.

The BBC need to give them the boot!

Not sure about that. We don't really know how Neil feels and tbf he still has to work on the show.

He is a bloody good choreographer who is responsible also it seems for the routines that Katya does aswell as group dances.

He should be allowed to continue.

To be fair to Neil and Katya, we have no idea whether they care or not. It's not as easy as "walk away" - they will have signed legal contracts which might be very difficult to get out of. And from Neil's perspective why should he? He's done nothing wrong.

All the speculation about their marriage is just that - speculation. it's really only their business.

Sean(n) will definitely be bottom two this week though.

I agree with Riversleep re the bearding for a visa. It seems to be quite the thing in professional dancing circles. The Cutlers (Matthew & SA Nicole from early Strictly series) give me major vibes in that direction too.

Zebra, I think there has been quite a lot of footage of Neil’s role in Katya’s training sessions with her celebs (on things like ‘it takes two’ when they show training room footage).

He is a well known choreographer that's why. James Jordan and Ian Waite were the same.

We are talking about a dancer (who only people who watch Strictly will have heard of) and a comedian (who it seems was pretty much unknown until he started Strictly although I have know who he is for years) not the Prime Minister or a member of the Royal Family. I think the amount of flack they are getting is a joke.

Of course they are in the wrong but according to many mumsnet posters isn't everyone having an affair? So because they got caught they deserve all this do they?

Agreed. Can’t possibly see how he’ll do a good dance anyway - he’s not a great dancer as it is and his head will not be in the training room this week

Imagine the ratings for Strictly will be VERY high this Saturday though

Neil was hired as a choreographer for Strictly a couple of years before Katya was hired from what the show has put out. Its not rare also for the professionals to mention they've been helped out with the choreography for some dances, both male and female.
