Please can you help my DD?

I have name changed because I might show DD this thread.

DD is 10. Since she was a baby she has had a much loved teddy. Currently she sleeps with it and will cuddle it if she is upset. It stays in her bedroom.

Recently she has become convinced that she should not have teddy any more. She thinks others would say it is babyish to still have a teddy.

What do you think? Is it OK for a 10 year old to have a teddy at night? What age should she give it up?

My 11 year old DD sleeps with 8 teddies, she has hundreds of them, and rotates which ones get to sleep in her bed each night.

My 14 year old DD, has one special ted who sleeps at the bottom of her bed.

My 21 year old niece, has 'Bed Ted' he goes to bed with her every night, even when sleeping away from home, he'll be packed in her case.

You're never too old for a teddy cuddle.

This is making me cry. DD2 rising 43 has a beloved bear here and her children can talk to him when they have sleepovers. I never had a bear.

My OH has his teddy from when he was a baby. He's 65. DS age 22 has his hippo (albeit in a drawer under his bed!) so there's no upper age. Enjoy and love the teddy, it's a great comfort in life.
