When you were 18 what was your choice of drink?

And would you still drink it now? What's your drink of choice today? I liked Taboo, Malibu and Smirnoff ice. None of them I'd go near now!

Now I like an occasional Disaronno other than that it's a cup of tea, I'm only 40!

elliejjtiny · 16/09/2018 16:31

TokyoSushi · 16/09/2018 16:31

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/09/2018 16:31

Rum and black - wouldn't touch it if I was dying of thirst now.

Also Diamond White. Blah.

CormoranStrike · 16/09/2018 16:31

Pernod and black currant! Haven’t had that in years.

Bunnybigears · 16/09/2018 16:31

I used to drink pints of cider with a vodka shot dropped in it. No idea why I thought that was a good idea and no i wouldnt drink it now! Cider yes, vodka yes but not in the same glass!

QueenOfIce · 16/09/2018 16:32

Diamond White. 🤢

I can’t even bear to think of it now.

RedPandaMama · 16/09/2018 16:33

Vodka and Coke on a night out (cheap) or cocktails if I had a bit more to spend. That was only 4 years ago for me though I wouldn't touch cheap vodka & coke now, I'm definitely more of a G&T or cocktail gal.

brokenharbour · 16/09/2018 16:33

Archers and lemonade. Urgh.

Defender90 · 16/09/2018 16:33

Long Vodka - haven't even thought about that in years.

wurzelburga · 16/09/2018 16:33

Lager and black....

bellsbuss · 16/09/2018 16:34

Malibu and pineapple juice or Diamond blush 🙈

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 16/09/2018 16:34

Another mad dog drinker here. There were different flavours. It was basically fortified wine though ie buckfast. Fucking vile. Also some kind of alcoholic lemonade, can't remember the name.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 16/09/2018 16:35

Archers and lemonade.

QueenOfIce · 16/09/2018 16:35

We called 20/20 battery acid, for some reason I used to also drink Tia Maria and coke.

Southern Comfort, Canada Dry , slice of orange.

I don't drink alcohol now but I do miss the SoCo

Stephisaur · 16/09/2018 16:36

Wkd blue. I would still drink it, but it would maybe be a little sweet for me.

I also drank cocktails and vodka red bulls. I still enjoy both. I wouldn’t drink a G&T then though, whereas I enjoy them now.

Still hate wine.

Ginmakesitallok · 16/09/2018 16:36

Oh I'd love a long vodka now - haven't had one in years! I used to drink pints of heavy

Frosty66611 · 16/09/2018 16:36

Rose wine (always the cheapest bottle the supermarket sold). Or supermarket own brand vodka/paint stripper with coke. Wouldn’t touch either of them now. Too many memories of brutal hangovers

Frosty66611 · 16/09/2018 16:37

Oh and I also loved a blue WKD

Unikittycorn · 16/09/2018 16:37

Vodka red bull or vodka irn bru. Can’t drink vodka or red bull now🤢

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/09/2018 16:37

Also some kind of alcoholic lemonade, can't remember the name

Hooch or Two Dogs ?

Ellapaella · 16/09/2018 16:37

Snakebite and black 🤢
Taboo/mirage with lemonade.
Diamond white cider
That horrible Hooch stuff.
All vile.

ItsLikeNew · 16/09/2018 16:37

At 18 it was real ale, I would still drink it now. But I tend to drink red wine or the odd G&T. I'm almost T total I only drink a few times a year.

before 18, I started out by drinking blast always (diamond white mixed with cast away) until I had too many one time and spent the night vomitting under a friends kitchen table. after that night I could not drink any sweet alcohol, one sip and my stomach would turned.
