'I feel so guilty! I have taken my children out doing fun activities every day of the summer holidays so far for the past 3 weeks and today we are having a day at home. I feel so bad that they're going to be bored! Anyone else feeling guilty about having a day at home?'

Confused

Any other gems?

staged area for photos and the rest of the house is a shit tip

Why didn't I think of this!? 😂 Whenever I need to take a photo of my kids (not that often tbh...) it is so hard to find a decent place without background clutter 😂

Natalie the thing is Facebook isn't like the real world, cue the irony - iow people don't have 250+ friends in RW but they do on Facebook.

Their friends list is made up of 10% real friends who know them through school, DC school, family and social activities. The rest are peripheral friends they collect, maybe met once down the pub, at a festival, used to work with them but not any more etc.

They basically bore everyone and anyone who is unfortunate enough to be on their "Friends" list, and they are so delusional they don't even care if people know they are stretching the truth. They just can't help themselves.

Well I have the Munchausens Martyr Mum by Facebook and she makes it worthwhile

Love it! Yes I have one of those too. "Discharged self from hospital in spite of being told I had potentially fractured my pelvis after falling from ladder decorating DD/DS room, I promised them a day at the local farm and... etc etc - I just HOPE I'm not going to do any further damage to myself"

Staged area

I have a staged area too! As already mentioned only because everything else around is a shit pit Grin. Erm... Go and stand by that white door... and crop...!

cheesemongery · 27/08/2018 14:22

ps I'm just back from swimming with DD, we had to get the BUS, it was fucking raining when we got out and then we had to get an alternative bus on the way home via the shops to get something for dinner... It's a mile from home. I had to carry the bloody swimming bag all the way home, plus 2 shopping bags which were extremely heavy as I'd seen some wine on offer - whinged ALL the way home - but carried on, because I'm a trouper.

You don't see me boasting about it though. Nope.

#medicalrebel omg. #shameonastick.

I have a couple of those. One posted that her 1 year old son's tempersture had been 40degrees for the last 4 hours and Calpol and ibrufen weren't touching the sides. Why your first instance would be to post this god only knows. I and many others barked at her to ring an ambulance immediately or take straight to a&e. She deleted the post and nothing was mentioned again. Aparently all of a sudden the temp came down. Wierdos

Erm... Go and stand by that white door... and crop...!

Crop is.my best friend Grin

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 27/08/2018 17:24

Surely everybody crops the crap out of the background of pictures

daisychain01 · 28/08/2018 02:42

Aww babes, i really feel for you, see I don't need to crop my background.

Well I do in the kitchen atm, but that's only while they're installing the new £40 grand makeover. After that it's back to normal.

Someone I know has just had an extension and a new kitchen in the extension
And instead of just saying love the new kitchen

Her partner took a pic of her
From the far far distance saying

So and so making such and such

But it was so far in the distance all you could see was the kitchen

He had also taken the photo from the floor so he could get the skylights in the shot

Someone replied why are you laying on the floor 😂😂😂busted

MaisyPops · 28/08/2018 08:53

lard
Grin
What silly buggers.
Just say you've got a lovely new kitchen.

LardLizard · 28/08/2018 09:22

Maisy, funny thing is, he is the sort of person that would berate someone for doing that .... 😂what plonker !!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/08/2018 13:17

A good one I saw recently was a woman who posted it's great to see so many parents who are proud of their children's exam results but remember not everyone is academically gifted. It's all about finding your child's best or something like that with a hashtag. Next day she posted how proud she was her kid had got excellent grades in her a levels!

BeverlyGoldberg · 31/08/2018 10:54

I've got a classic from one of my FB acquaintances...

"When all the staff at your hotel think you’re a Russian prostitute because that’s the only way they can comprehend that a blonde woman could possibly be somewhat fluent in their language 🙄."

Said acquaintance is nothing like fluent in Russian and the hotel staff were probably wondering if she was doing some sort of 'Allo 'Allo revival.

Ihavenoideaatall · 31/08/2018 12:05
