Ok so I've spoken to my thumbs. They say they've had a hard day at work today do maybe didn't express themselves very well. They simple meant that you would probably prefer Dr Track to give you your drugs rather than your dentist!Confused. They are somewhat confused as to why that would get them into trouble!Hmm

DumSpiroSpero · 02/11/2011 18:47

I have Googled root canal and it does appear to be a glorified filling not the tortuous procedure I thought it might be.

May need a large PC laced with Rescue Remedy in the waiting room, mind you!

Twigs - while you're there - am I right in thinking you are a bit of an Arthurian Legend buff?

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 02/11/2011 19:52

I'm by no means a buff, Spiro, but I do like them. LadyV is a buff, I think! I used to know a bit but have forgotten most of it and probably know as much as the man in the street now. But feel free to ask away if you have any questions!

There is a new pic out - on bcc's FB page (may be on Twitter too?) do'nt have time to find it to link to as dishing up dinner now but will find it later if you can't! I think it may be a new shot from the Recognise photoshoot...

Oh dear me. Kevin and Perry seem to have invaded the thread and impersonated Vampy to post their puerile smut.

::faints::

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 20:30

GROAN
Evening ladies. I have missed so much fun and frolics. However am I going to catch up?

Oh Spiro, my sympathies over the dentist. Shall I say it's not my favourite way of spending my time.

And Gizzy is locked up with Twigs? I shall be a good friend and not come and let him out just yet, though.I don't want to spoil her fun.

A new photo? I shall go and check Twitter. They have just emailed to tell me they were missing me on there, isn't that nice of them, to have noticed I hadn't been on for a bit?

(yes, I do know it's an automated message, really Grin )

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 20:39

Link for the new pics

You will need to scroll down.

Beard alert, Maudie!

That article about the Lucas tattos was interesting, btw. No wonder they kept applying some of them in the wrong places however. It was RAther distRActing work.

TheSmallPrint · 02/11/2011 21:06

I like the pink one but they do seem to have him fiddling with his ties a lot Hmm

Spiro I am a dentist phobic (don't know the proper word) too and I have had a root canal and survived. Not pleasant but I don't find a check up very pleasant either.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 21:06

::Comes round::

Oh my word, Massive!

::Faints again::

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 21:11

You likee, Maudie?

Why is he frowning, do you suppose?

Fiddling with ties must be Arty.

TheSmallPrint · 02/11/2011 21:19

Hes frowning cos there's something wrong with his tie, innit.

LadyDamerel · 02/11/2011 21:21

Humph.

I don't like any of those although I am coming to the conclusion that it is the hair rather than the beard that I don't like. Beard and longer hair or stubble and short hair would be fine but not short hair and beard.

But I am Grumpy so I may reconsider my stance when I am more chilled out.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 21:24

I find it not displeasing, Massive. And then I'm saying nothing more.

Tie me up, tie me down.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 21:27

Grumpy, LadyD? We can't have this.

Here is your therapist; just follow his lead. Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 21:31

What ails thee, LadyD apart from your very obvious visual impairment?

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 21:32

Fascinating insight, Maud. I have to say i am relieved Gizzy didn't hang on to his dirty yellow neckwear for too long.

But from what I remember from the DVDs the costume designer seemed to have a bit of a thing for bits of rag wrapped round the neck. She had one of her own.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 21:39

This, of course, is the ne plus ultra of gentlemen's neck apparel. Well, actually, the ne plus ultra of gentlemen. Full stop.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 21:46

I agree he's the ne plus ultra of gentleman

You can't beat a naughty Knight though, to my manner of thinking

TheSmallPrint · 02/11/2011 21:52

Tie or no tie I'm not that bothered - you keep the gift wrap and I'll have the present Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 21:52

Naughty but (sadly) not always very nice.

::Still feeling a little faint at the thought of Mr Thornton and his neckwear]]

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 22:12

Oh Maud, that is nice enough for me.

Did you manage to identify Mr Thorton's favoured style?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/11/2011 22:15

::Turns up the heating for Massive::

No, but this may be my favourite style.

I have a lurgy and feel like death. I am going to retire to my boo-dwarr. Goodnight everyone.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/11/2011 22:22

It's not really a lurgy Maud - you've given yourself a fever looking at too many photos of Mr T! Hope you feel better soon.

Hes frowning cos there's something wrong with his tie, innit.
ROFL! Grin

Lady D I totally agree with you re the hair - it's not his greatest look. The very first beard pics from NZ with normal Lucas-length hair and beard were lovely.

Thanks for all your support re my dental issues ladies - as I said it is my own stupid fault for declining the anaesthetic last time. I was really struggling to hold it together just having them cleaned today but had to as had Miss S with me. Then of course I got home and Mr S asked how we'd got on and I totally lost it anyway!

SupermassiveLBD · 02/11/2011 22:23

Oh Maud, do take this medicinal Wine with you, and here are some cologne-soaked lace-edged hankies, too, to soothe your fevered brow,

If you have a fever, though, maybe you ought to refrain from looking at any more beard porn tonight.

Night night.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/11/2011 22:25

Just started watching 7.3 of Spooks and had to laugh at the catch up from 7.2.

Harry: "As of today Ros assumes the position...of Section chief." oooh-er! Grin

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 02/11/2011 22:25

Thanks for the link, Massive - and two new ones for me as I had only seen the pink shirt one. I LOVE the first picture - so cute!! Aw, wook as his ickle wickle facey... (no, not those ones).

Maud, feel better soon! Do you have a cold or summat else? I think I've got one coming too but just a sore throat at the moment. Honestly, parenting is basically just snot from November to March, isn't it?
