Strikes? Are there strikes planned? Tube strikes is that? I am clearly way behind.

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 20:53

Now, I wouldn't object if you'd brought this present with you, Lady V...

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 20:54

It's the day of the Unison strikes but I have no idea whether that will affect trains, tubes etc or not.

Oh wow, LadyD - that took my breath quite away!!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:00

Err no, LadyD, that's what I was driving at.

::wink::

I might pretend to disdain the jealous, raging type but in fact ....

::drifts off into reverie::

The difference of course is that Heathcliff is somewhat madder, badder and more dangerous to know than dear, dear Mr Thornton.

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 21:02

I know you were, m'dear. I just needed an excuse to post a smouldering MrT.

Mad, bad and dangerous to know is exactly how I like my fantasy man...

::drifts off into similar reverie::

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 21:03

Or perhaps that should be men Grin.

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 21:05

Don't know about the strikes - I'll try to find out tomorrow what they are advising us at work. Normally a strike on the tubes would not prevent me from attempting to get to work, I can always walk, and last time there was a strike, there were still tubes running on most lines, though not necessarily stopping at all stations.

A problem with the trains would be more serious for me though. I need to find out more.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:07

::still quivering at the sight of Mr Thornton, smouldering-a-gogo::

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 21:12

It's the eyes that draw me in, I think.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:18

Ah yes, the windows to the soul.

.
LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 21:18

This or this gets to me....

TransylvanianVampiress · 09/11/2011 21:18

Always the eyes! Nothing but the eyes for me and maybe the occasional leather-clad or Prada-clad or DPM-clad thigh or peach!

DumSpiroSpero · 09/11/2011 21:19

The strike is for public sector workers so shouldn't affect transport but was wondering if anyone's relying on school/after school club that day for child care as schools may be closed?

And curse you all for bringing up Sparkhouse again - I've had an idea for another story - have got 7 or 8 ideas on the go now - will have to give up sleeping completely! Grin

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 21:26

The 'Look back at me' pic you posted gives me a little ache in my heart every time I see it, LadyV.

As does Gizzy when he unmasks Marian.

Too much pain there for me.

::dabs eyes with hem of Maud's petticoat::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:28

This one, I hesitate to suggest, is even more wibblesome there being something slightly squinty about the eyes in the other one, Mr Thornton presumably not having time to avail himself of the services of Messrs Dollond and Aitchison.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:29

::withdraws her petticoat from LadyD's slightly grubby hands::

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 21:29

::dissolves into full blown sobs::

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 21:34

Ah, but Maud there is a little hope in that one, still...but by this one all hope is gone...

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 21:34

::controls self with valiant effort::

Now on the other hand, this gives me an ache in an entirely different part of my anatomy Wink.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 21:36

::thinks LadyD is over-reacting a tad to the withdrawal of the petticoat::

DumSpiroSpero · 09/11/2011 22:07

Just had a quick look on 'Confessions' - some people really do have no shame! Shock Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 22:10

Oh. My.

::faints::

That has to be a troll, surely?

::feels tainted and goes to have a long hot shower::

TransylvanianVampiress · 09/11/2011 22:14

Now I'm going to have to have a look!! Is it really bad Maud?ConfusedConfused

SupermassiveLBD · 09/11/2011 22:20

I have just been looking at LadyD'slast pic for the past half hour so I haven't had a chance to look at the Confessions. Maybe as well. Wink
