Thanks Spiro, yes I've got one of those - they are a tenner but I got it free on prescription a few years back :) They are brilliant and for ages I just used those but now I use Hedrin alongside it as it was taking too long to clear by the comb alone.

TransylvanianVampiress · 09/11/2011 18:14

Thanks Lady D for the revision guides - I can see that he doesn't frequent the same clothing shops as Guy or Lucas then?!Grin

Never actually read Wuthering Heights (yes I know Maud, I'm a heathen scientist!Grin)

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 19:33

I read it donkey's years ago but couldn't remember it but then reread it once I'd watched Sparkhouse and loved it. I think it's one of those novels that actually holds more resonance once you're an adult and have a little more life experience.

And to be fair to the lovely Mr Standring, Prada or top to toe leather aren't the most practical attire for a man of the soil Grin.

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 19:54

Hello people - long time no visit!!!

What's happening here?

PassTheTwiglets · 09/11/2011 19:57

Hi LadyV, good to hear from you! How are you? Whilst you're here, are you coming to our meet-up at the end of the month?

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 19:58

We have also been suffering from the dreaded nits....you get rid of them, then they're back a few weeks later in another outbreak - it's a never ending battle.

I also have recently got one of those Nitty Gritty combs (£7 off eBay) and have resolved to use it once a week after a hair washing from now on, to keep the little b*ggers at bay!!!

TransylvanianVampiress · 09/11/2011 19:59

Hi LadyV! Tis RussianPony here - we remet on the anniversary party night!! Hope all is well with you?

I see what you're saying about Prada there LadyD, but surely leather is cleanable with a simple wipe-down?!HmmGrin

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 19:59

Hi Twiggggssssss!!!

Yes, I am coming to the meet up, at least I am planning to, unless you don't want me because I haven't been very studious at the moment.

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:00

I'm well - but ever so busy at the moment - it's never ending!!!! I am still avoiding doing the housework though....

PassTheTwiglets · 09/11/2011 20:02

'course we want you there :)

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:02

Hi TransylvanianVampiress aka RussianPony - are you STILL wearing your Halloween costume?

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:03

:)

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 20:05

Gah! The interweb ate my post.

LadyD's advice on how to be around the Colonel's mum is spot-on, I think. And I agree too that Wuthering Heights is probably best appreciated as an adult - I don't think it's a coincidence that teenagers generally see Heathcliff as swoony and romantic while adult women seem mostly to see him as a dangerous control freak.

And ugh and ::sigh:: to the hair pets. I've probably mentioned before that The Girl's first infestation happened in France, thereby adding considerably to my colloquial French vocabulary.

I think we had the I'm A Believer vid a long time ago. It pains me that it's a cover version and not the Monkees.

::very old emoticon::

Hope Twigboy is recovering.

SupermassiveLBD · 09/11/2011 20:06

Hello, LadyV, how great to see you!

I have to run again, though, now. BBL

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 20:08

Wot cheer, LadyVenetia!

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:12

Maud, Massive, hi!!!!!!!!!!!

Little present for you all....

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 20:32

Hullo, LadyV, nice to see you again Smile.

I'm thinking Thorin needs a voucher for our current institution - his eyebrows need a good wax and his hair could do with a slight trim. His face could do with a soothing facial too, he looks a little windburned there.

Maud, given my penchant for a certain UWLCPDAwHT who could be said to demonstrate a certain level of control freakiness, I'm not quite sure I share your view on Heathcliff Blush.

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:34

Hi, LadyD !!!! Lovely to see you too!!! Agree on the eyebrows and hair trim, but this is the colour corrected version of the face!!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 20:35

It pains me to say it, LadyV, but that gift is not a thing of beauty and a joy forever. At least, not when compared to some of the Academy's other cherished resources.

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 20:36

Yeesh Shock. In that case, maybe a recommendation for a good moisturiser and a make up lesson on covering up redness would be in order!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/11/2011 20:46

Ah, LadyD, that's because you're still young enough to see something romantic in a controlling and jealous man who flies into uncontrollable rages, whereas my own predilections are entirely different. Ahem.

LadyVenetia · 09/11/2011 20:49

Ah yes Maud, I completely understand

TransylvanianVampiress · 09/11/2011 20:50

Now I think I learnt from that latest blog that they are all being made up redder than normal, so that they look normal under the special 3D light conditions needed to film it I think HmmConfused

And yes, LadyV I've remained in my Halloween costume, as I prefer this new name and I remembered that I'm 25% Transylvanian vampire in RL anyway!!Grin

Also what's the feeling about the strikes and the meet by the way?

LadyDamerel · 09/11/2011 20:51

He's not averse to a soupcon of jealousy, either is he, Maud?
