Was just wondering if I'd missed Harry!! Will have to rewind once kids asleep!!Grin

Poor you maud!! I'm sure he'd love to join you in the steam room but I fear he may have to loosen his cravat more than usual due to the heat and you may see more of his throat than is good for your sensibilities?!Wink

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 19:23

Where's Len by the way? Had a hair transplant?HmmConfused and sex change?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 19:25

Really, Vampy? It had never, ever crossed my mind that he might have to take his shirt cravat off.

::whistles innocently::

I am whiling away the time here on Ebay. Several Christmas presents now bought!

I've done no Christmas shopping at all! Confused

That's never Baby from my most favourite film of my teenage years ever - dirty dancing?! Didn't she grow up well!!Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 19:31

Talking to myself but colonel still not back!! But is that guy liner I spy on me Russell?!Hmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 19:41

Yeah, that's Baby!

Even though I bought the film in an early outbreak of SMFV, I still haven't seen it all the way through. . Maybe I'll watch it if the family aren't back once Strictly's finished.

And did you know she's Joel Grey's daughter? I only learnt that very recently.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 19:41

There's quite a lot of guyliner every week!

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 19:54

Who's Joel grey?

But you must watch it
Although I bet it looks dated now!! I saw it at least 7 times in a fortnight at the cinema back when it was affordable! just lived it and wanted to be baby!!

By the way has there been more wardrobe malfunctions this series than normal?Hmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 20:12

Oh, my dear! . It's one of my favourite films.

Yes, I was thinking earlier when Holly's braces pinged off that the wardrobe department do seem to have let down several of the ladies this season. After all, they ought to be able to work out not to give them dresses in which they're likely to catch their heels and I noticed last week that Chelsea's dress didn't have the usual invisible netting to stop it coming adrift, the poor girl.

PassTheTwiglets · 05/11/2011 21:00

Well Westfield is very nice (yes, Vampy, 'tis the one near the Olympic stadium) but one has to be thin and rich to shop in most of the shops there! I did however find a perfect winter coat so I'm thrilled with that.

Smally, how fab about SmallBoy's lovely comments - you must be very proud of him!

Harry's Samba was rather nice (I liked Craig's comment about how the shirt was distracting him) but it didn't have a great deal of oomph. I liked Chelsee best tonight, I think. and James' derriere was on fine form in that outfit

As for Dirty Dancing, I am the only female on the planet who's not a fan. Just as I am also the only person on the planet who dislikes The Shawshank Redemption.

Christmas shopping? I've very nearly finished :o

PassTheTwiglets · 05/11/2011 21:02

Oh and Vampy, sorry, I didn't explain my very poor canesta joke. Canasta is a gard game but your spelling of canesta made me think of this :o

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 21:15

Oooh, show us yer coat, Twiggy!

The way that Craig and Bruno flirt with Harry is quite outrageous, dahhhhling.

And yes, I am always very careful with my spelling of canasta (Mr Thornton's and my favourite activity, after Plato) for that very reason.

LadyDamerel · 05/11/2011 21:24

Australia is on Film4 for those who have access.

Just sayin'.

::shepherds Vampy and Maud into the decontamination unit::

We have been lurgy-free here so far. I'd like to prolong that state as much as possible.

Took the MiniDs to the village firework display (I use the trem very loosely) and MasterD2 fell asleep on my shoulder 10 minutes in Hmm.

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 21:24

Yes twigs!! Show us a piccy!!

Never fear twigs I knew what you meant! I was just interested to see if canesta was a word in its own right and it is!

The colonel is back and v grumpy!! Oh the joys of men losing sporting matches!!Hmm. Seem to remember last time he played on a saturday he was grumpy too!Confused.Biscuit

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 21:30

Can we have some company entertainment in the decontamination unit lady D!Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 21:39

I brought my own company, Vampy

::Reminds Vampy that two's company but three's a crowd and suggests she finds a decontamination unit of her own::

I found Australia rather, err, long when it was on the telly before.

LadyDamerel · 05/11/2011 21:42

Yes, I didn't realise it was a whole 3 hours long. I'm not sure even the presence of HJ will make me stay the course.

::very short attention span emoticon::

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 21:48

::hammers on door:: please let me out lady D. I can't watch maud and her friend play canasta or listen to them discuss Plato anymore!! I promise not to breathe anywhere near you. Pleeeeeasssse!Confused

Grin
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 21:56

::Ejects Vampy from the love nest decontamination unit::

LadyDamerel · 05/11/2011 22:01

::catches Vampy and dunks her in sheep dip::

::shifts over to make room for her on the chaise longoo::

Despite the presence of the divine HJ, Australia is incredibly dull. LordD has switched it off in disgust Grin.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/11/2011 22:04

If you want something really jolly, you could try Wallander in Swedish.

TransylvanianVampiress · 05/11/2011 22:10

Thanks lady d (I think!Hmm). Australia was way too long a bit much for me too! Sure we can find the best bits on YouTube!

I may just snuggle up into your shoulder lady d and fall asleep if you don't mind. Nice and cosy here in front of the log fire and is far less noisy Plato wise where I've just been! Smile

LadyDamerel · 05/11/2011 22:15

::pats shoulder invitingly::

Maud, the synopsis of Wallander sounds too unremittingly cheerful for me. I like a little angst and darkness in my drama especially when the angst is clad in head to toe leather.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/11/2011 22:22

Evening Ladies! Well that's fireworks done for another year.

I think I may have to photoshop this and change my wallpaper on work PC!

Maud, your very recent discovery re Joel Grey - you haven't been reading the DM have you?
