Ta-da!

Come on then Lady D, wallop the Champagne over our bow :)

Twigs. Took a while and had to find right exercise with right company at right time! Tried all sorts before and felt as if I'd never survive the zumba/aerobics/step/dull gym session! Takes about 2 weeks of regular hard exercise before your muscles stop killing you and then you really feel great afterwards!

I've had a huge little crush on mr darcy colin firth for years! But he no longer features in my top 3! Although I probably wouldn't say no if I wasn't already happily married!Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 20:18

they say one can either keep one's figure or one's face

Based on that theory, I should look about 11!

RP I was doing Zumba earlier this year and loved it, but threw my hip out so stayed away for a few weeks, then it was the hols. Now the friends I went with have joined a different group (nearer me but I really liked the old one), and I'm losing hours at work after Christmas so desperately trying to clear my overdraft ASAP and even the £4 a week I was spending on that can be better used elsewhere when we already have a Wii fit and the option of walking to and from school/work every day.

Just need to find some organisational skills and self-discipline from somewhere...Hmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 20:35

I've said before, Spiro, that we need a personal trainer. Perhaps we should enrol with British military fitness?

Russianpony · 25/09/2011 20:52

Definitely - it was spinning with a British military PTI that got me hooked and if it had been Mr Porter himself I would have gone daily!!Grin

Russianpony · 25/09/2011 20:55

Classes are expensive. It's why I thought I'd give running a go but I've had to stop now as it really wasn't good for my dodgy knee!!

What are we all like with our aches and pains and sagging boobs/bottoms? Anyone would think we were getting older!! Not still in our 20's (hopes noone on thread is that young and gets offended by our sagginess!)Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 21:01

Oooh err. It's Spooks time.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/09/2011 21:02

We're just mature and lushly ripe, RP, that's what we are. Wink None of your coltish angular teenagery-ness.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 21:20

We're just mature and lushly ripe

Personally, I'm going for 'in my prime'! Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 25/09/2011 21:24

Good call, Spiro.

It's still going, btw. Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 21:38

Grin!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 22:13

::Staggers in after Spooks::

SupermassiveLBD · 25/09/2011 22:25

What cheer, Maud? Is everyone still wild about Harry, or has he gone to the Dark Side, too?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 22:34

Ha! Probably the first and last time that Harry and cheer appear in the same sentence. As for the dark side, who knows? It's all wheels within wheels and Nothing Is What It Seems.

LadyDamerel · 25/09/2011 22:37

My dsis phoned and talked AT me all the way through Spooks Angry. What did I miss?

Hangover has thankfully abated, courtesy of several litres of Coke and a chinese takeaway Grin.

Did you not partaay here last night? Are we doing it another time and I've overlooked the new date or am I not invited? ::paranoid::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 22:38

Tee hee. From the, err, sublime to the ridiculous. The Inbetweeners are at a disco .

LadyDamerel · 25/09/2011 22:44

We had on the playlist last night and a couple of other Academy choons that I can't remember because I was too drunk but remember at the time shrieking "I love this song!" and being unable to explain to anyone quite why for fear of them calling the men with the nice white jackets and the padded van.

LadyDamerel · 25/09/2011 22:45

Oh the shame.

You're, not your.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 22:48

Damn! I was enjoying that but I can hear Mr S on the move, so looks like it's lights out for me.

LadyD we are officially partying on 'our anniversary' now - Tuesday night. Is that going to be ok for you?

LadyDamerel · 25/09/2011 22:50

Oh yes! LordD is away as well so I can indulge in the disco numbers at full volume too. Hurray Grin.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 22:52

Fear not Lady D - I have whole playlists of RA 'theme tunes' on my mobile and PC Blush

Forgot to mention yesterday that I encountered this very large sword made of damascus steel at the V & A yesterday and couldn't help but indulge in a very Gizzy like smirk!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 22:53

It was a very muted party last night, LadyD - a rehearsal for Tuesday's planned Saturnalian debauch. As for Spooks, the best I can do is direct you to iPlayer.

Somewhere in this house is my stock of cheesy old records valuable vintage vinyl, including the 12" (and probably coloured) version of You're My Obsession.

My fantasy has turned to madness, All my goodness has turned to badness

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 22:53

Mr S is at the footy so I will also be getting my groove on!

Night, night for now though - back to the old routine tomorrow!

DumSpiroSpero · 25/09/2011 22:55

Ohhh Maudie - did you have any of the technicolour 'Top of the Pops' LP's?

I think they were some of the first records I ever bought!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/09/2011 22:59

Do you mean those completely cheesetastic LPs that weren't by the original artists? If so, no. But, yes, I do have Ring My Bell somewhere.

LadyDamerel · 25/09/2011 23:00

One of my earliest tapes (non of these ancient record players or yours truly) was the album with , which I have have rather shamefully discovered that I still know ALL the words to.
