Strewth, Spiro! That pic of Gizzy came up supersized, initially. I nearly choked on my fish finger.

Buckles, OMG... Not to mention laces

Surely that has to be illegal. Grin

TheSmallPrint · 08/09/2011 17:30

I do family at home but when I have done kids parties it's always somewhere else!! OK so pass the parcel, what else?

PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 17:53

I searched for the pass-the-parcel comment (yes, I am that bored) and it was JP that the comment was about (pic has now disappeared into the ether however) but you did reference Guy too:

-------------
Those JP pics were gorgeous - especially the first one - all those layers and fastenings. I wonder if the costume designers that work with him do it on purpose (Gizzy's similar). It just makes him look like a particularly sexy game of pass the parcel (not that you'd actually want to pass him on to the next person, but ykwim) :o
-------------

Small, we are doing pin the tail on the donkey but he wants a dinosaur party so I've ordered a pin the tail on the dinosaur instead.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 17:53

sorry, wrong link

PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 17:58

Or Pin the Twigs on the Lucas?

DumSpiroSpero · 08/09/2011 18:04

How about pin the number plate on Finn McMissile, Small?

My friend's little boy was most impressed that I knew about him & Francesco Bernouli at his birthday party last weekend - and it's all thanks to you!

I love that Lucas pic!

PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 18:34

Mmmm, me too :)

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 18:40

Pass the parcel? Pass the parcel? Why didn't I think of pass the parcel for last night's party? Bagsy remove the first layer.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 18:40

So, more party game ideas for Small...

Musical Chairs

What's the time Mr Wolf?

Blind Man's Buff

And ROFL, I have the perfect party game for Massive and Guy! Whilst Googling for kids party games I found once called Knights, Roundheads and Cavaliers - look at the instructions:

When 'Knight' is called the male half of the pair has to give his partner a piggy back (an alternative is for the female to give the piggy back, or to get down on all fours).

Cue Massive's plea: Oh come on Guy, just one more game, don't be a spoilsport... :o

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 18:50

And if the boys get over-excited after all the games, they could sit quietly while a kindly uncle reads them a story.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/09/2011 19:13

Hmm, that Blind man's Buff one was all buff and no blind.

I would have you know I would never subject my dark knight to such undignified shenanigans as giving piggy backs.

As for my getting down on all fours, well, that would be telling Blush

Gotta dash, RL beckons. BBL

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 19:34

Oh crumbs. We've just had Yeah, that's a reasonable request.

:;:woons on Massive's behalf::

LadyDamerel · 08/09/2011 19:50

::gulp:: @ the thought of getting on all fours for Gizzy. What a point to return to the conversation Grin.

And Spiro's Pass the Parcel comment is particularly apt as I watched the S3 extras yesterday - when the costume designer is talking about Gizzy's costume and how all the parts of the jacket are removable. I may have had a little moment contemplating how much fun it would be to peel each layer off.....

::dons Neutronium SFX undercrackers::

If I need to get 'em off I know a certain dark knight who's pretty nifty with a sword!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 20:14

Oh good grief!

LadyDamerel · 08/09/2011 20:32

You can't be that shocked Maud - it's not the close up facepalm Grin.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 20:40

::twirls her Belgian moustaches::

Now, you see, my dear LadyD, you have made a very elementary mistake. You are assuming that ze choice between ze standard and ze close-up facepalm correlates in some way wiz my level of shock whereas it really depends on how much of that floppy white shirt and fine forearm I want to admire.

LadyDamerel · 08/09/2011 20:45

I have been passing the time perusing the N&S screencaps to compose a complete layer by layer MrT Pass the Parcel. The prize is quite chaste, more of a teaser of what may come once you take it home......

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 20:51

I have been passing the time perusing the N&S screencaps. As one does, LadyD, as one does although once one's got the best bits on speed-dial one doesn't need to.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 20:53

:: and waits patiently::

LadyDamerel · 08/09/2011 21:00

Maud's extra special Pass the Parcel:

Layer 1

Layer 2

Layer 3

Layer 4

Layer 5.

Now just remember it's called Pass the Parcel, not Hog the Parcel Grin.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 21:10

::takes the parcel into the parlour and locks the door for a little privacy::

SupermassiveLBD · 08/09/2011 21:13
PassTheTwiglets · 08/09/2011 21:13

ROFL, LadyD, that was very funny and very clever!! There are probably better chaRActers if one needed more than 5 layers but that was fabulous :)

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/09/2011 21:14

::staggers out, groping for the vinaigrette and great aunt Agatha's ostrich feather fan::
