How were Girl and the Smallboys at going back today? Mine were ok - MissTwigs was very sad and tearful at home but she met her friend in the playground and started chatting away and went in quite happily, thank goodness. I was a mess though - out of nowhere I was suddenly really tearful and sobbed all the way home! it is lovely and quiet here now though :)

I don't think I will be at the party for very long tonight Maud; I am so sorry :( I had a really rough night and I'm not feeling at all well today (sick and shivery, bleurgh). I will certainly put in an appearance though. I hope your somewhere-around-here birthday is a fabulous one! Do you have any celebrations planned, if that won't out you?

Sorry to hear all's not so good on the school front for Small & Twigs .

I am very lucky with Miss Spiro, although we had our fair share of reluctance at nursery so perhaps she's making up for it now. She insisted on taking in blackberry and apple pies that we'd made for her teacher, TA's and the Head (creep! ) and had the added excitement of giving out her birthday party invitations - so as soon as the door was open she pretty much forgot I was there.

So empty house for me now - party planning and Eps 11-13 of S1 RH!

Mine were fine, Spiro, it was that was the mess!

Glad MissS got on ok. My plan was also for RH but I ended up doing housework the entire time and now feel very shaky and wobbly.

Oh, that was what I meant to ask you...what is it you and Lady D were talking about a while back that you can add to moulding icing to make figures set better? TCM powder???

Either Gum Tragacanth (£++++ though) or CMC powder, sometimes also known as Tylo powder.

Knead in about a teaspoon per 500g of icing and leave it for 24hrs before use.
