I can't say that I've noticed that much difference with the CMC to be hobnest, but LadyD will obviously know far more than me. Perhaps I didn't use enough. I haven't bothered using it since but then I'v enot needed anything to set really hard - perhaps spindly fairy arms might benefit from some? Man, I am panicking for you on that one, that sounds SO hard! I would have to invent a new character called Bella the Blob Fairy or Susan the Sitting Down Fairy. Or Isabella the Invisible Fairy :o

SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 13:59

Isabella would be a rather bad-tempered and vicious fairy, invisible or not, I am thinking. Wink

Thank the lord the Superboys aren't into fairies -- or if they are, they are keeping quiet about it. Grin

I have been too bizzy to get my Gizzy on this morning. Sad

Poor Twigs though, what can we do to cheer you up?

Take a dose of 0.22 or thereabouts, with a nice Wine and repeat as needed Smile

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 14:04

Belle will be sitting down so it's not all bad.

Marion had just told Guy to wait for her in the church, and I had just opened up Gizzy's Revenge to start the next chapter when MIL materialised on my doorstep Blush Angry

I have never been so desperate to pack her on her way so much in my life (and that's saying something)!

Do feel a bit bad though as she had popped round to be potentially helpful.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 14:14

Golly, Spiro, talk about thudus interruptus -- gussied-up telly Gizzy waiting for you in the church, and fanfic Gizzy leering at you in anticipation from his trusty fourposter, and MIL pops round???

Shock Blush Angry indeed.

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 14:28

thudus interruptus is very much correct Massive.

I was not impressed - have got my mojo back now though Wink!

TheSmallPrint · 07/09/2011 14:37

Afternoon all, Spiro how many chapters have you done now, again I don't know if I have missed any of your story.

PassTheTwiglets · 07/09/2011 14:42

Golly, Massive, that 0.22 works almost as well as Motilium - that hit the spot alright :o

Spiro, argh, nightmare on the MIL! You need to get one of those little spy-hole thingies so that you see who it is before answering the door.

TheSmallPrint · 07/09/2011 14:50

Maybe they should use Lucas' bum in their advertising Twigs?

SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 15:11
PassTheTwiglets · 07/09/2011 15:48

Oh I think Lucas' bum, should be used in everything, Small...

Pop? Just how long have you been away, Massive? Since the 1970s? Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 15:53

My bad, Twigs. I should have said something poncey like fruited sparkling water

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 15:53

You need to get one of those little spy-hole thingies so that you see who it is before answering the door

Except that she has a key as well (don't ask). Luckily the sitting room is at the back of the house and it's a solid door, so if I really don't want interruptions I lock it from the inside and ignore the bell.

How was Miss Twigs after her first day back? Did Smallboy Minor get on OK in the end too?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 15:55

Small - there are 6 chapters there now - I posted another (short) one just before the school run. Probably 2 more to go.

Link to story from the beginning.

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 07/09/2011 15:58

Oh gosh yes, I'd forgotten she has a key!

MissT was fine, thanks. She said she was sad and missed me when she first got into the classroom but she was happy all the rest of the day. Hurrah - really hoping we've turned a corner now (though I have said that at least three times before!) Did you get on with the first proper day of routine?!

Yay for new chapters - off to read them now!

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 15:59

ROFL - I have just been writing and extremely rood bit for the next Chapter when Mr S came in. I went to shut Word down pronto and a box came up asking me if I'd like to submit the paragraph I'd just been writing to Microsoft to help with their proofreading software (or something to that effect). WT*???Shock

Er, that would be a definite NO! Grin

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 16:00

Yep - yesterday with all the routine was ok. Still can't wait for half term though!

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 07/09/2011 16:03

Thanks for the link Spiro, I will race off in a mo to read it. Grin at the Microsoft message!

SB Major had a great day, full of smiles when he came out. Minor was fine too, he just likes to cause a big scene when we go there, he is absolutley good as gold once I've left - grrr!

SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 16:07

A propos of absolutely nothing at all, apart from the fact that it's season one, and merely because I keep forgetting to mention it, has anyone else noticed the blatantly 21st century belt Robin was keeping his pants up with, in the 'rolling about on the forest floor with Gizzy' bit?

I make no reference to Marian's fetching yellow knited cardie, straight out of the People's Friend knitting supplement, circa 1970.

I have no quarrel with the creative approach to medieval costume, why not have some fun with it, indeed, but these amount to takin the p*ss, surely?

SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 16:15

Sorry, you couldn't tell the convo had moved on while I was posting that totally uninteresting thought.

Grin indeed at the Microsoft . Perhaps their code is set to pick up passages like that, and flash the message, just to scare the pants off naughty writers.
I am saving the new chapter for later, as dinner is just at that supremely burnable stage.

Glad the respective offspring have got through the day unscathed. And of course that goes for the mummies, too.

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 16:38

Frankly, Massive, I am never looking anywhere near the region of Robin's belt...

Some of Marion's costumes seem supremely daft to me but I am no expert in mediaeval clothing - perhaps they had bright turquoise dye, highly patterned fabric and shoulder cut outs were fashionable Hmm?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 17:33

I am never looking anywhere near the region of Robin's belt...

Nor would I be, normally, Spiro, but it was just so in you face, with him sprawling about flat on his back after being walloped by Gizzy. Give him one from me, sweetcakes

Everyone's costume was mostly pretty daft - what about those guards with the yellow feathers on their helmets, like cartoon chicks

There is an interview wih the designer on one of the DVDs, and she seems quite a sensible person but what was she thinking ?

Mind you, she had one or two good ideas

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 17:45

Mind you, she had one or two good ideas

Do you do it on purpose when I'm cooking the dinner, Massive?!

Grin
OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 07/09/2011 18:10

And my own dinner is perfectly safe now, as well, evil cackle. Well and truly disappeared down necks, in the usual five seconds flat.

DumSpiroSpero · 07/09/2011 18:14

Hope to see you all later, but close friend has just called having a bit of a crisis so may be a bit later than usual.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 07/09/2011 19:03

Hope your friend is okay, Spiro.

Just about to consign MiniDs to their slumbers then will get ready to partaaaay.

Twigs, are you feeling any better than you did this morning? How was MissTwigs when you picked her up this afternoon?

Massive, I do believe that fizzy drinks are still known as 'pop' round these parts.
