Personally, I'd start by researching the Armitage family tree, Massive. My money is on great-great-great grandfather.

I wonder if there is a clever computer programme that could 'shave' him so we could compare jaw lines.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 18:42

I do hope you will put tracer dots on all your treasures though, Spiro - ones that start up a piercing shrieking if your friend tries to hold on to them.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 18:48

Compare and contrast.

My meagre dvd collection is stuck in the slowly-subsiding heap with all the others carefully filed. But then, the best material is that which is in my otherwise empty head.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 18:51

Is that my imagination or is there the merest soupcon of footwell there?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 18:55

Not that I can detect.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 19:04

Well, I did pump up the zoom to be able to notice

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 19:11

Massive, you are incorrigible

DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 19:41

No footwell as far as I can see and I am the Academy afficionado Wink

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 20:57

You are probably right, Spiro, then.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 21:02

I thought you were going to say cleans smear of strawberry glaze and cream off Guy. But then, I have been spending too long here, being corrupted.

Oh. Oh. Guy's about to get married. He thinks.

DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 21:04

Which episode is the Gizzy/Marion non wedding in? I must be nearly there by now.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 21:06

Last episode (13) of series 1.

DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 21:20

I know what I'm doing tomorrow then!

Have just seen this feature about a 1740 book of manners - The Lady?s Companion: or an Infallible Guide to the Fair Sex - being sold at auction. It includes the following quote:

'Every indecent curiosity or impure Fancy is a deflowering of the mind?she that listens to wanton discourse has violated her ears.?

That's everyone here stuffed then!

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 21:21

Does anyone absolutely hate her wedding make-up? Looks as if she'd had it done at Booty, in Albert Square.

Not to mention the lace curtain.

The groom looked rather smart though.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 21:22

anyone else, I should have said

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 21:24

violated her ears

There's a new one for the fanfics, they've tried just about everything else Blush

TheSmallPrint · 06/09/2011 21:29

Did I hear some one say there was a new Panther chapter??

DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 21:30

ROFL!

It's a bit much - and she's so bloody smug when she goes cantering off with Robin. Jilt him at the alter if you must but is there really any need to rub poor Gizzy's nose in it to that extent?

DD realised yesterday I had watched a couple of episodes without her and was most put out Grin!

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 21:32

I know nothing of Albert Square, but agree the makeup looks a bit like something Siouxsie Sioux might have sported, back in the day. I did think the groom could have made a little more effort - a clean scarf or possibly even a shave might have been a nice gesture.

That lace curtain as you call it looks rather like the one adorning my bonce at the Maud-Bloke nuptials, I'll have you know.

::scowls and hoicks her considerable bosom::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/09/2011 21:32

Oh, and

DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 21:37

Hi Small. No new chapter just some flogging & Vids. Poor old fedoralady has lost her day job apparently but is planning to continue with LATP & hopes to turn it into a novel.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 06/09/2011 21:38

Sorry Blush blogging & vids!

Hold the facepalm Maudie!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 21:39

I suppose it was Nottamun lace, then, in both cases. I am sure yours was far nicer, Maud.

Where are you up to with the Panther, Small? There may have been one while you were off coms

SupermassiveLBD · 06/09/2011 21:41

ROFLMAO @ Spiro's Freudian whip slip

PassTheTwiglets · 06/09/2011 21:49

ROFL @ Massive's reasponse to violated her ears :o

Sorry ladies, I know the conversation has moved on, but just to reply to these bits... LadyD, MissTwigs likes her teacher, it's just me who has a problem with her. And Maud, I am definitely not unwittingly putting bad ideas into her head - I am so upbat and smiley and positive that I'd give Mary Poppins a run for her money! There is a chance that I'm over-doing the positiveness but I'm definitely not underdoing it :)

How was MasterD2 when he got home today, was he exhausted? And Spiro, how did it go with you guys? Everyone else is back tomorrow, yes? (as we are) Fingers crossed for everyone! I plan a full-on-RH fest to take my mind off it :)

Have just realised that I forgot to recount the choice quote from TwigBoy, on holiday. On the beach one day he suddenly asked "Daddy, is Richard Armadige (sic) real?" On being told yes he relied "well why can't I see him then?" :o
