Evening all! Just a flying visit as Miss S and I are couch camping tonight - currently settling in with 'Gnomeo and Juliet' and a large tub of pick 'n' mix.

Nothing wrong with (tinned) peaches and not quite cream, Maud, the mention of those has made me quite nostalgic. My mum still buys evaporated milk Smile.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 21:54

Oh, yes. evaporated milk is one of those cr*p things expats never touched before they left, but now hanker after quite madly. Like plastic bread and cheese slices and salad cream.

We'll send you a food parcel, Massive. Do you want Bovril, tea bags and Marmite too?

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 22:07

Oh how nice of you, Maud. We are okay for teabags, you can get good old Twinings here. Which isn't bad at all. They even have Earl Grey. which name confuses the Islanders somewhat, so it is generally known as 'early grey'

I can't eat Marmite or Bovril any more Sad Marmite toast was always a huge treat, before. But now it gives me migraines. But I am running out of custard powder.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 22:09

If you really want airmail custard powder and don't have anyone visting from the UK soon I will send you some.

LadyDamerel · 28/08/2011 22:15

I will personally courier you the custard powder, Massive. I could use a break on a sunny Island.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 22:17

Ah, thanks. We are all getting fat as pigs now, though, after all the puds I made when the guests were here. Better avoid tempation , or at least stick to low caorie treats

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 22:19

calorie I'm still squinting somewhat.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 22:52

Actually, Massive, the custard powder is already on its way to you.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 22:57

Oh, how super!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 23:00

How, in all my delving in the archive, had I overlooked this? No cravat and no floppiness, but a white shirt nonetheless.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 23:09

Oh Maudie, that is divine. The merest soupcon of twiglet, as well.

Apologies for being so passive, myself, in the research department, these days, and leaving all the hard graft to others.. I hope to do better soon.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/08/2011 23:11

Yum, Maud - very nice and works very well on zoom too!

G & J finished and Miss S sparko on the floor so have switched over to Muse. Anyone know if I've missed our theme tune?

DumSpiroSpero · 28/08/2011 23:18

Of course I thought you meant this courier.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 23:23

Oh poo. Somehow I didn't notice that what followed Page Eight on BBC2 was The Hours and not Muse. Have just switched over.

I only found that gem because my link to Thunderbirds are go didn't work any more so I had to go into the archive. Nor is this one displeasing. And yes, Massive, submit some research of your own. At my age I can't keep hauling myself up and down to the basement. Oooh me lumbago.

::exhausted::

Oooh. Now they're doing that plinky plinky one that almost sounds like Coldplay.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 23:23

Of course I thought you meant this courier

He'll do just as well, Maud,I'm not fussy..

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 23:25

It was Spiro who sent him, Massive. I prefer my delivery boys to be more formally attired.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 23:29

Soz, Maud.

The summer hols seem to have got the better of me. I will try to do better soon.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/08/2011 23:31

I'm rather partial to this - especially now I've Photoshopped it and got rid of the rest of the cast! Grin

LadyDamerel · 28/08/2011 23:37

Oo-er Maud. What a fabulous piece of ReseArch that is, my dear.

::fans self::

I like his hair in those two pics, that hint of bed head at the back is exactly how MasterD2's hair grows. Just as gorgeous on a 40 year old as it is on a 4 year old.

I'm neglecting you for some N&S fanfic. The writer has captured the characters' voices extremely well; I can hear them in my head as I read. Methinks she is a very keen student of the N&S boxset!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/08/2011 23:39

Drat. Looks like I've missed all my faves. .

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 23:39

Aha, yes, I think I remember something I wanted to show you all a while back

is rather nice

SupermassiveLBD · 28/08/2011 23:42

What a shame you missed so much Muse, Maud.. I just remembered, too that I have a CD. I can play it tomorrow when I am cleaning.

Yes, I've got some CDs but can't play those through my supermassive vulgar telly!
