Ooh when you put it like that Twigs.....

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 20:24

Twigs.

I'd like to give Gizzy a good thrutching, if we're stating preferences Grin.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 20:44

OMG OMG OMG

::hyperventilates::

It's the "Marion, I thought I'd never kiss you" scene.

I think my ovaries may have spontaneously combusted.

(S2, ep8 if anyone feels the need to revisit it)

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 20:47

That's 'Get Carter' - MissTwigs and I watched that one a few days ago :) We're doing the next ep or 2 tomorrow as DH is taking DS out for the day.

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 20:58

LadyD, perhaps I should I suggest you don't watch the last episode of RH series two? Especially if you are in an emotional frame of mind.

It is just too too heartbreaking. yet so inevitable. Two people on a collison course, and this is the carcrash moment. The poor, poor lamb. (And okay, it's pretty nasty for Maz, too.)

The previous eps are rather thud-worthy though if you like to see him with his mad up. He gives good smoulder does the Giz. But oh, dear, I am all teary even now at the thought of the look on his little face.

And then he is so distraught - but smoking hawt- in series 3.

Hehehe,

Marion and Robin have just come back from burying the messenger in the forest, Much says "What have you been up to?"

Marion or Rob say "We've been burying a corpse in the forest."

Much says "Is that a euphemism?"

Reminded me of you lot Grin.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:11

That's the one, Twigs - who's the actor who played Carter? I recognised him but couldn't dredge up a name.

This is DVD 3 of 4 for this series. Maybe I'll leave DVD 4 for another day then, Massive. I know what happens at the end (think I've seen it on YouTube too) but seeing it in full might tip me over the edge.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:15

There's a lot of familiar faces in medieval Nottnum. Gavin from Gavin and Stacey is there at present.

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 21:16

Yeah, I knew too, LadyD, and saw it on YT, but it was somehow more final when I saw it on a big TV.

I have to say though the acting is superb.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:24

Oh he's so masterful. "If you touch a hair on her head, I'll kill you." What a glare he has.

The writing is bloody brilliant too, I have to say. The little bits of comedy and interweaving of song lyrics into the dialogue make me genuinely LOL.

LadyVenetia · 26/08/2011 21:25

I need to buy Robin Hood - haven't watched it in AGES

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 21:25

I'm not as clever as you lot, spotting people. I just think golly he/she looks familiar but can't often put a finger on who it is.

I did reconise Janine Butcher from Eastenders though.
She played exactly the same sort of character , so, a clue? yes!

LadyVenetia · 26/08/2011 21:28

Anyone else watching Fraud Squad - it's so annoying when other people start talking...

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 21:29

The little bits of comedy and interweaving of song lyrics into the dialogue make me genuinely LOL.

There's a bit in series one where Vaisey says: "You didn't shoot the sheriff. You shot the deputy" Grin

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:29

There's not many I can put names to. If I'm lucky I know what other programmes they've been in but that's not often. Probably because I MN while watching TV so I never watch anything properly.

LadyV, I'd recommend it but make sure you have the IF to hand Grin.

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 21:31

ROFL, ladyV! How ignorant of them not to realise the voice-over is the most important element of the production.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:31

And yesterday so (S2) there was "It's goodnight from me" "And it's goodnight from him", and the Sheriff had a great one, which I've forgotten since I started typing.........

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:33

::changes channel::

Ooh, he's got his deep RP voice on.

Nice change from Guy's growly northern tones.

LadyVenetia · 26/08/2011 21:41

Here we go...

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:44

We need those clever bods from YT who edit out all the non-Man segments.

LordD has returned and is extremely well to live. He is also very confused as to why I keep shushing him at apparently random times Grin.

LadyVenetia · 26/08/2011 21:46

Whatever you do, don't let on LadyD!!!!

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 21:51

He's got it, now he's finally stopped blethering on Grin.

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 22:33

We were watching Big Brother but I switched over during the ads. DrfT seemed confused as to why I wanted to watch it but after a few minutes burst out laughing and announced "BUSTED!" Blush :o

LadyD, no idea who the Carter actor is but a quick IMDB search brings up nothing I'm, familiar with. Also, when you used the phrase extremely well to live, I instantly thought of The Man's pronounciation of it ie. with the stress on live.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 22:43

I got 'Sho that'sh why you're watsching thish!"

I love the expression 'extremely well to live'. There were some great phrases to describe being drunk in Regency times but that's my favourite.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 22:47

Re. Carter, maybe he looks like someone else then, he just seemed familiar Confused.
