And so to bed. Nighty night all, and thanks for all the fun tonight, everyone.
Amd sweet dReAms of course.

Spiro, hope you have a great day in the metrollops tomorrow. Though it's already today!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 26/08/2011 00:21

Good night all!

::Dons the FWTSNS and heads upstairs::

DumSpiroSpero · 26/08/2011 00:21

Sweet dReAms ladies!

TheSmallPrint · 26/08/2011 08:18

Morning. Sorry I couldn't join you last night, urgent business called but I see you were ver busy.

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 08:38

Spiro, have fun today! Make sure you have a walk along the South Bank if you have time after the exhibition - it's lovely there at the moment! They have a seaside thing going on... enjoy your day!

TheSmallPrint · 26/08/2011 09:05

Yes have a great day Spiro, I hope the weather improves!!

DumSpiroSpero · 26/08/2011 09:19

Well I am on the train...with Mr & Miss S in tow Confused.

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 10:15

Oh no, how come?! Can you at least go to the exhibition by yourself or are you all going? MissS will definitely love the fake beach along the South Bank. Sorry it's not going to be the quiet, you-time day that you were expecting.

DumSpiroSpero · 26/08/2011 10:57

They are heading off to Natural History Museum and I'm going to meet them after TE.

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 11:33

Oh dear, Spiro. it's not quite the same when you don't get the whole outing to yourself. Sad My heart plummets to my non-stompy boots when I get hijacked like that.

I even love the lone journeys, when you don't have to see to someone else or make conversation, you can just sit and think your thoughts.

Hope you at least enjoy TE, and maybe have a nice lunch.

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 16:01

I agree re. the journey, Massive. My dad used to live abroad and I went to see him sans Minis & LordD one year. The 13 hour flight was just bliss - doing exactly what I wanted, when I wanted and someone bringing me food and drink on demand. Oh if only he still lived there......Grin.

Hope your day has gone well, even with the slight change of plan, Spiro.

Watched a bit more RH S2 this morning while 'decluttering' the playroom. I didn't think it was possible for Guy to be any more thudworthy than he was in S1 but it appears I was wrong. When he held Marion after her father was killed

::calls for IF and immediate medical assistance::

Doesn't help that I'm ovulating, I don't think. My hormones are rampant Grin.

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 16:16

YY to lone journeys. When I worked in London I used to hate my commute. Used to think "urgh, how dull - nothing to do but sit and read for an hour". Now I think "ooooh, bliss! Nothing to do but sit and read for an hour!" :)

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 17:10

Lord D has a digger and a skip.

Does anyone have a spare room this weekend?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 26/08/2011 17:13

I hope Spiro's day has been better than she feared.

Dare one ask why LordD has a digger and a skip? Is he playing at TimeTeam in the back garden? And has Massive seen the ad on here for M&S waterproof trousers "for every degree of naughty"?

::pre-emptive facepalm::

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 17:23

Redesigning the estates, Maud Grin. We're adding a lawn where there was previously gravel and paving slabs so there is about 10 inches of compacted hardcore to dig out over a fairly large area. LordD decided a digger would get the job done more quickly Hmm.

Needless to say he has never driven a digger before and is rather gung-ho is his approach to any form of manual labour.

I have the water board and electricity company on standby. Thankfully there is no mains gas supply to The Priory so we will not be blown to smithereens.

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 18:18

I know your little game, LadyD.... You deliberately suggested the digger-hiring to an inexperienced driver, so that he might accidentally knock a wall down and you can then get featured on Homes From Hell and the narrator will have to come and check out the destruction for himself...

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 19:00

Well spotted there, Twigs, that is what I call a cunning plan.

LadyD, I would love to offer you the chance of a lone journey, and a sunny refuge from the chaos reigning at the Priory this weekend at the end of it, but a neighbour is putting in a new kitchen and bathroom. Sad Angry

Strewth, M&S waterproof strides, Maudie? But why mess about, there's a far easier solution to that problem.

I'll take that facepalm now.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 26/08/2011 19:04

Well that was...not bad I s'pose.

Mr & Miss Spiro checked out the 51 museum and the food market while I was in the gallery, then we went to 'Giraffe' for lunch and afterwards walked along the South Bank to Westminster.

TE exhibition was really interesting - saw everything but could've taken a bit more time over it if I'd been on my own. Some of it was very moving and thought provoking. Saw one mum in there with kids of about 5 and 8 - brave woman. Dread to think what kind of questions she'll be having to answer over the weekend Confused!

I loved the little beach huts and took far too many photos I suspect! Did you see the William Blake mosaic Twigs? After all these months ogling Lucas' abs I seem to have developed a homing instinct for anything by him!

But it was this little trinket in the Hayward Gallery gift shop that made me Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 26/08/2011 19:06

..there's a far easier solution to that problem...

Gisborne leather perhaps? Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 19:38

No, I missed the Blake mosaic! Where was it? The beach huts are great, aren't they? Glad you had niceish day but sorry it wasn't better.

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 19:38

Gisborne leather perhaps

I was thinking a bit more radical than that Wink

Am loving the trinket. Did you indulge?

Sorry you didn't have all the time you wanted at the exhibiion. Isn't it always the case, whenever you go somewhere with anyone? Even if they tell you to take your time, you're always thrutching. Sad

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 26/08/2011 19:51

What's a thrutching??!

SupermassiveLBD · 26/08/2011 20:15

Small, you obviously don't speak oopnorth-ish. Grin

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 26/08/2011 20:21

Thrutching sounds vaguely rude.

I'd like to give that Lucas North a good thrutching...

LadyDamerel · 26/08/2011 20:23
, Lord D is in the local posting house, MiniDs are sweetly dreaming, I have a large glass of Gizzy and RHS2, Ep 8-11.
