Any beard? That might have been a clue.

TheSmallPrint · 04/08/2011 21:51

Oh yes sorry forgot the beard and the broadsword of course. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 04/08/2011 21:58

A broadsword, eh? And I missed it Sad

TheSmallPrint · 04/08/2011 22:01

I suspect there may be incriminating photos so perhaps all may not be lost? To be honest I'm surprised he didn't get arrested walking around town with such a large weapon, that's got to be illegal surely? Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 04/08/2011 22:04

As long as he didn't whip it out and wave it about, I suppose it was okay. Though I do so love it when Gizzy does that.

TheSmallPrint · 04/08/2011 22:04

So Massive, how long do you have house guests?

TheSmallPrint · 04/08/2011 22:06

Grin at whipping it out and waving it about!

SupermassiveLBD · 04/08/2011 22:11

See PM!

TheSmallPrint · 04/08/2011 22:12

Right I must get some much needed beauty sleep. Hopefully the others will be home soon and fill you in on the days real activities.

Bitey Knighty Massive.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/08/2011 22:15

Night night Small. Glad you are home safe after your big adventure!

PassTheTwiglets · 04/08/2011 23:17

Hello, hello, hello!!! I can't MN on mobile and have only just got home! Had a fab - everybody was so lovely! ROFL at me getting legless on Prosecco not being questioned :o :o

Film was... um.... I don't know, really! It's not the sort of thing I'd seen were it not for Herr Beanz but it wasn't bad. I quite enjoyed it. A WTF ending though. He was in it quite close to the beginning so once that was over there were comments about going to the pub :) His US accent was pretty good, I thought! Unlike Dominic Cooper, URGH.

After the film, we went to a pub in Covent Garden and stayed for a few more drinkies (missed you, Small!) at which point it was made very clear to me that I need to see all of Between The Sheets, not just the YT clips :o

The little pressies Spiro made were amazing - is it ok to share the details, S?

Maud and Massive, we drank a toast to you in the restaurant.

Hope everybody got home ok!

SupermassiveLBD · 04/08/2011 23:28

Hi Twigs, glad you enjoyed yourself and are home safe!

TheSmallPrint · 05/08/2011 06:23

Morning you dirty stop outs! Grin. You sound like you had a great afternoon/evening Envy. So is it worth me going to see CA then Twigs?

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 07:32

It definitely wasn't hard to sit through and if you can sit through Transformers then I'm fairly sure you can cope with CA :) There was a trailer for Real Steel... I'd see it if it were me, I think. And stay until after the credits have finished for a trailer for the next film.

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 07:38

Oh, just don't see it in London, Small - I gave them a tenner and the cashier looked me questioningly as I hadn't realised that it was £16 to see a film in London Shock

TheSmallPrint · 05/08/2011 07:50

Shock @ £16! I obviously don't see many films in town but that's really Shock

TheSmallPrint · 05/08/2011 07:53

I'll take SB major on a Thursday near me, the tickets are about £4 which means I can afford sweets and popcorn -yay!

LadyVenetia · 05/08/2011 08:22

Hi I got home ok, so nice to meet you all. On reflection, I'm sure you all probably think I'm even more bonkers than you did before - but no matter. I enjoyed my day - which was, incidentally, a first for me too (in terms of meeting up with anyone I met on the Internet). It was lovely to put names to faces, faces to names, and noone was scary (unless it was me, that is Blush).

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 08:23

3D films are about £9 here and I thought that was bad enough!

So, ladies, who can find my lost picture? <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=strike+back+viral&um=1&hl=en&safe=active&sa=N&biw=1680&bih=880&tbm=isch&tbnid=DWToUG4sPWO3eM:&imgrefurl=www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/StrikeBack/album/SBViral/album/slides/strike-back2.html&docid=L1s0yuZ1WOGkBM&w=741&h=500&ei=GZo7Tp2lGIa98gOxwaT3Ag&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1050&vpy=237&dur=1217&hovh=184&hovw=273&tx=152&ty=99&page=1&tbnh=134&tbnw=176&start=0&ndsp=41&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> This is the one I meant, it just seems to have disappeared. And I NEED it.

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 08:26

Hi LadyV! Glad you got back ok. You're not bonkers at all (well, if you are then we all are too :o) and it was fab to meet you at last!

LadyVenetia · 05/08/2011 08:35

I'm also reflecting on the movie, which I did enjoy. Too little of Mr A but it looks like he must have had a fun time doing it, and it is an ideal project to raise his Hollywood profile. I doubt people who had not seen his work before would especially notice him, though. But he did a great job with the little he was given.

Chris Evans had a lot more to do and did some solid acting I thought, though never really wowed me.

I liked the Avengers teaser and it was so good to see Robert Downey Jr there in the mix - pure class.

LadyVenetia · 05/08/2011 08:39

Nothing on that link for me, Twigs.

Anyway I've got a 9 o'clock this morning that lasts till 3 so I will see you later.

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 08:40

I thought Chris Evans was slightly yum, tbh. Though no comparison, of course :)

PassTheTwiglets · 05/08/2011 08:41

The link takes me to a small version of the pic (the one where he's on his knees, hands behind his back) but with a 404 error page in the background.

I must away, too - just realised I ought to actually feed the kids!

DumSpiroSpero · 05/08/2011 08:45

Morning Ladies - was lovely to meet you all yesterday.

I loved Maxwells - especially the look on the waitress' face when she asked it if was the first time we'd met up in a long time and we told her it was actually the first time we'd met at all! Grin

Film was ok - like Twigs I wouldn't have gone to see it if Mr A hadn't been in it (and there definitely wasn't 16 quids-worth of Heinz Beanz), but it was well done and if you haven't read much about it the end will come as a bit of a Shock which personally I thought was a bit of a bonus as I was expecting something considerably more cheese-tastic!

LadyV - you are definitely no more bonkers than me the rest of us!
