Margaret Hale Academy of Tea-Pouring & Wallpaper Selection at the University of Milton Northern

Welcome to our new common room which, as you would expect, is decorated in impeccable taste (despite the limited choice of wallpapers available in Milton Northern). Above the marble mantelpiece hangs a portrait of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. As we recline elegantly on the chaise longue, we partake of tea and ratafia biscuits and discuss the works of Plato, although in the evening the finest wines and Polish cordials may be served.

From what I can tell from the photos, I'm not at all sure about the haircut, but I am only on mobile - might look better on a bigger screen.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 19:24

Maybe the haircut had to fit in with the extensions. Difficult to tell though at this resolutuon, and the zoom just brings up a blur

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 19:51

Oh I kind of like it! Rather shorn... maybe I like it because it's different? Though of course I like his Lucas Locks best :) Funny how the magazine has gained about 100 news Facebook fans in the last week or so!

Am on to Sense & Sensibility now - having never seen any of the Andrew Davies Jane Austen adaptations I'm now on my 3rd in a week :) Who is that Edward Ferrers actor chappy? He's rather.... alluring. Almost gives the lovely Mr Morrissey a run for his money...

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 20:23

Evening all, loving the pics from the photoshoot, I think he look really sharp. I bet the real ones will be great. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 20:35

Evening Small. and everyone else of course. The red shirt is what is disconcering me the most, I must be too used to another colour Grin

Twigs is really making me feel in need of some serious bonnetage, I must hie me down to the DVD shop sometime soon and get me some frills, furbelows and floppy white shirts.

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 21:06

He can't wear black and blue the whole time Massive Grin, I think it's the slim cut of the trousers I like, very trendy and a nice change from jeans (says she who lives in the bloody things) they also make him look even taller so right up my street.

Anyone watching Glastonbury?

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 21:23

You went to Glastonbury then, Small? I have never been to a festival; I was reading an article about it yesterday about it and thought "hey, I might like to go to that" (am going through a Need To Do Something cultural phase). Little did I realise that you have to buy tickets months i nadvance and that if you do manage to get a ticket then it's likely to cost you £100+ Shock

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 21:26

But Massive, red becomes him so

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 21:40

Oh yes Twigs and Reading, back in the uni years. In fact my ticket to Glasto was free as I 'worked' there. We were much luckier with the weather then though, I swear June is getting rainier every year.

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 21:54

Now watching King Of.. On C4 they have just decided thattue King of Body Parts is the hand. Think that they've been peeping in at the hand porn on here?

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 22:03

LOL, Small! What do you think of that show? I thought it was very disappointing. I utterly heart Claudia Winkleman but it was a poor show. Trying, but failing, to be Room 101.

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 22:06

I'm not a fan of CW really but I watched last week because Sarah Millican was on and I think she is hilarious. You're right though, it does feel a bit 101 but not as good.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 22:08

Twigs, the Man in his red jumper reminds me of

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 22:11

Ah yes, I've oft-referred to those pics as his Val Doonican era!

Small, Sarah Millican is brilliant, isn't she?!

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 22:16

Just hilarious Twigs, I'm trying to get tickets to see her live next year.

Yes he is channelling Val there a bit Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 22:27

I can't find a better shot for comparison, but
Grin

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 22:30

I think it's Perry Como we're thinking of.

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 22:31

I hope that gave you the right pic, it often goes wrong when copying and pasting on the phone.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 22:32

They were all big on the knitwear, ROFL

TheSmallPrint · 24/06/2011 22:38

Right off to bed to dream about knitting. Night all.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/06/2011 22:46

Sleep, that knits up the ravelled sleeve of care, like wot the Bard said Smile . Night night, Small.

PasstheTwiglets · 24/06/2011 22:58

Small, you are quite right, it was perry como i was thinking of!

DumSpiroSpero · 25/06/2011 00:01

Well the man has certainly given us plenty of 'Magic Moments' has he not? Grin

Twigs I am deeply relieved that I'm not the only one who has never been to a festival. I really fancy doing it now I've hit my born again teenager phase, and would quite like to take DD to CampBestival which is supposed to be one of the best family friendly ones.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/06/2011 00:05

::Staggers in::

::Swigs Polish cordial straight from the decanter in most unladylike fashion::

::Talks to empty room::

Oh, what a week. Anyway, it's over. Am delighted to note the return of the (presumably authentic and not stuck-on) beard but wish those photos of the Lav Nacinood cardigan hadn't been dredged up.

My sleeve of care is particularly ravelled tonight, so orf I go to bed. Night all!

PasstheTwiglets · 25/06/2011 06:39

ROFL, I was actually in the middle of Googling Lav Nacinood before I got it :) Why, Maud - do you not like thos photos? Or is it the opposite, that you like them too much?! They are amongst my favourites, I must say.

Spiro, :o at Magic Moments :o I love that song. The Halloween hop, when everyone came in funny disguises
