Margaret Hale Academy of Tea-Pouring & Wallpaper Selection at the University of Milton Northern

Welcome to our new common room which, as you would expect, is decorated in impeccable taste (despite the limited choice of wallpapers available in Milton Northern). Above the marble mantelpiece hangs a portrait of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. As we recline elegantly on the chaise longue, we partake of tea and ratafia biscuits and discuss the works of Plato, although in the evening the finest wines and Polish cordials may be served.

Well Twigs, yours was the most interesting kitchen table decoration. But maybe you deserve it after your day. Mine has a lone kitchen roll on it atm.

JP on fast forward eh? Now that is being greedy.

I had a busy RL day in whoich I fulfilled half of the SAS motto, i.e. nothing gained. --- except perhaps a couple of pounds as I had pizza for lunch.

Small do you mean that other RA exhibtion wot Maud went to, a bit back? It does look good, I must say.

So the photoshoot will be published in Angust --thanks for the news, Spiro. How exciting! I wonder if the publishers of said bijou niche mag will be surprised at the huge leap in circulation, from their immediate family and their Aunt Gertrude, to hundreds.

DumSpiroSpero · 22/06/2011 21:29

You can't watch JP on fast forward Twigs! Shock

He needs to be savoured over several hours Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 21:59

Evening all.

Glad you appreciated Mr Cheeky, Spiro, but Twiggy is indeed very, very naughty.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:08

Ooh, what a suprise, Maud. I thought we were going to see Mr Thornton and his inimitable facepalm, and instead it's equally naughty Mr Bateman. Not that I would complain either way.

SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:10

Now RH you practically need to watch on fast forward, to eliminate all the PLFwittery.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 22:17

You see, Massive, you should always expect the unexpected, and as Twiggy was talking about sauciness in the kitchen (and clearly wasn't referring to Heinz tomato ketchup) ....

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 22/06/2011 22:19

...maybe Heinz Kruger? We'll see!

Very à propos, I agree.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 22:30

::Emerges from the basement, bun askew and brogues covered in a thick layer of dust::

I think I may have found some new research material which . The picture quality is a bit ropey, but I dimly recall that a Lucas vid to this same choon was well-received.

SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:31

Ah, I didn't realise Harry had a middle name. Grin

Lovely vid, like the song as well as the pics!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 22:37

It's very sweet, isn't it? We knew a little Jasper at mother and toddler group.

::completely irrelevant fact emoticon::

SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:39

Ooooooh! I'll 'ave sum o' that

Very tasteful Maud, dear.

Can anyone explain the story arc of that song to me?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 22:43

Story arc? I thought we just goggling at his broadsword appreciating the fine cinematography and use of diffuse lighting to portray the essential but contradictory darkness and light of Guy's personality?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 22/06/2011 22:45

What song is it? Can't get the last one on mobile.

Liked 'Sunshine' though - my mum & Jan used to sing that to me and now me & my mum sing it to DD Smile.

Can't believe you didn't know Harry's middle name though - detention for you Massive!

DumSpiroSpero · 22/06/2011 22:46

Mum & nan rather!

SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:52

Sorry teacher, I suppose I spent too much time on my medieval history homework and neglected the RI

Re the Guy vid, I was just wondering how the song fit in with the visuals, Maud. I have no quarrels with the latter, much broadsword-goggling was done, I can assure you. And I luuurved the bit where he tosses his raven mane out of his eyes, so very disdainfully. Très thud-tastic.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 22:53

Alejandro/Don't Call My Name by the extremely rude forthright Lady Gaga.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 22:54

Sorry Spiro, forgot to say, the song was Lady Gaga, Alejandro

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 23:05

Oh sorry, Massive. I took you too literally. I thought we were discussing the song, which I don't understand at all. Is there anything to understand? ::Old fogey alert:: As far as I can see through my slightly dusty bifocals, there is nary a connection between the song and the visuals, hence one just has to goggle at his broadsword admire the atmosphere.

DumSpiroSpero · 22/06/2011 23:05

Will have to have a look on pc tomorrow.

Bedtime for me now though - sweet dreams!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 23:07

::Emerges again from the basement::

Are you sitting comfortably, Massive? Then .

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/06/2011 23:24

::exhausted by all the stair-climbing and hauling research materials out of the basement, staggers off to bed::

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 23:34

Maud, I do apologise for my lack of response, caused by simultaneous pince-nez and computer functions.

Nighty night. And you know what sort...

SupermassiveLBD · 22/06/2011 23:40

I say, that vid is even more ooh la la than I remember Blush

And just before I am due to retire, too.

But who's complaining. Wink
