Margaret Hale Academy of Tea-Pouring & Wallpaper Selection at the University of Milton Northern

Welcome to our new common room which, as you would expect, is decorated in impeccable taste (despite the limited choice of wallpapers available in Milton Northern). Above the marble mantelpiece hangs a portrait of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. As we recline elegantly on the chaise longue, we partake of tea and ratafia biscuits and discuss the works of Plato, although in the evening the finest wines and Polish cordials may be served.

bien sur, il est tres beau.

Didn't they have to wear the stockings in the evening, for dancing?

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:16

I might wear stockings for dancing at our party if you're lucky Massive Wink

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:17

Massive, I think the sudden wearing of earphones might well arouse suspicion but do feel free to post any relevant vids that may enhance my studies. I can always watch them in the day when LordD is off meeting his tenants.

Stockings and silk breeches were obligatory for entry to Almacks but the pantaloons were where it was at if you were a tulip.

Twigs, I'm in the NW.

On a slight tangent, I don't suppose anyone wants to meet me at this? I really, really want to go but none of my RL friends are up for it and I don't want to go on my own. ::eyeballs Twigs::

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:20

Is that NW London or NW England? Grin

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:20

I was planning on asking Mrs Imber to press this for me to wear at the party. Or would I be a little overdressed, do you think?

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:21

England Grin. Footballer country, no less although we live in the poor part.

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:24

Ooh, look. I've found Maud and her chaise longoo.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 22:25

LadyD, that looks a wonderful day. As you may know I am not in the UK, so I can't oblige. Do you have to go in costume?

Earphones -- how about those little buds? you could get into the habit of ''listening to your i-pod'' while online...

that is rather fun .
TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:26
LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:35

Hmm, if a certain guest of honour wearing black leather turns up then the inevitable heaving of the aforementioned bosom may result in a shocking level of immodesty Grin.

Are you dissing my tan, Small? Nowt wrong wiv being tangoed. Makes me look healfy, like. Me eyelashes and nails are all natural as well.

I think I'm about halfway between Gary and Robbie, location wise...

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 22:38

Grin, Lady D., wot we wittily used to call dumplings boiling over, when we were gels

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:38

Bolton?

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:41

Anyways, what did we agree about the party? Is it tomorrow? I haven't a thing to wear that's as revealing as Lady Ds outfit, I'm hoping mr Porter is going to turn up with his big guns in his big hands

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 22:43
TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:47

You forget Massive you and I are less blessed in that area so unless I get some extreme padding, JP is safe with me! As long as he doesn't start ogling the dumplings on show elsewhere of course

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:48

I assume that's what you meant?? Blush

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 22:50

That's one thing about my trusty bliaut, I don't have to resort to the chicken fillets...

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:50

Just watching some lovely orange jumpsuited men on tele, reminds me of the lovely Dr Track

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:55

Further south than that Small

Massive, like the pictures on the vid but watched it on mute so will appreciate it properly in the morning. Grin @ the dumplings, love it!

Can I get everyone's preferences straight, please?

Maud = Mr T
Small = JP
Massive = Gizzy
Twigs = Lucas
Spiro = Lucas

Is that right, have I missed anyone?

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 22:59

Small - Lucas/JP, Mr T, Gizzy, Harry, Dr Track in that order.

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 23:00

You missed Lady V. I think she is a Gizzy gal.

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 23:14

I haven't met LadyV yet, I don't think. ::wonders briefly about the impact on the space/time continuum if my married and single self co-existed in the same space::

I am in a dilemma. Harry was my first love but MrT edged him out (poor Harry and his lack of cravat) but now there is Gizzy to contend with. I may keep all 3 in first place and use/abuse them as my mood changes.

Harry for snuggling up on the sofa with, MrT for chivalrous romance and Gizzy for doing very rude things with Grin

And on that note I'm away to bed.

Night!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/07/2011 23:14

Evening all.

I have had a most exciting evening. I have seen Dr Track's helipad.

::licks tarmac::

Actually, LadyDamerel, you are quite right. It is Mr Thornton with whom I have a deep spiritual bond. I can see why other ladies may have a tendre for glowering Gizzy, muscly Mr Porter or poor, deluded, messed-up Lucas, or even sweet Harry and his knitwear, but for me it will always be Mr Thornton. Although your husband is growing on me.

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 23:16

::looks back at you::

Ooh, Maud, really? The actual tarmac where his bots touched? Did you pick up a few loose bits and put them in your pocket?

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 23:18

Ahem, boOts.

Licking if the other had touched it would be very ewww.
