Margaret Hale Academy of Tea-Pouring & Wallpaper Selection at the University of Milton Northern

Welcome to our new common room which, as you would expect, is decorated in impeccable taste (despite the limited choice of wallpapers available in Milton Northern). Above the marble mantelpiece hangs a portrait of the Vice-Chancellor of the University. As we recline elegantly on the chaise longue, we partake of tea and ratafia biscuits and discuss the works of Plato, although in the evening the finest wines and Polish cordials may be served.

Grin @ that clip, Twig.

That's us told then.

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 15:46

I love the bit where the lyrics go 'Make sure you catch me from my good side' at about 53secs in.

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 15:48

oops, posts inbetween that I didn't see.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 15:58

His good side. ..Has he a bad side, Small?

Oh, lawdy I need him. ROFL. Wink

PasstheTwiglets · 06/07/2011 16:06

53" in which vid, Small? Not SB3?

DumSpiroSpero · 06/07/2011 17:22

Oh...53 seconds

I was scrolling down my 'Threads I'm On' list and saw Twigs

53" in which vid...

....and nearly dropped the lasagne! Shock Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 17:29

So what sort of lasagne is it today, Spiro? Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 06/07/2011 17:49

'Proper' lasagne today. And next time it will be chicken, spinach, risotto & pesto. Never tried it before but it sounds quite nice. Might also be able to get it down DD which would be a bonus.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 18:03

do you mean ricotta?

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 18:46

Grin @ Spiro with dropping the lasagne!

Twigs it's the tossy hair one that I posted for Massive earlier.

I understand your need Massive, I think we all do.

PasstheTwiglets · 06/07/2011 18:53

ROFL Spiro!!!! Shock :o That's how we used to write seconds at the Beeb, in m defense...

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 19:04

Have you caught up on the vid yet Twigs?

PasstheTwiglets · 06/07/2011 19:19

Nope, not yet Smallio, as DrTwigs is home and sitting on the sofa with me. I'm out but I'm not that out :)

Oh, LOL, DD mentioned The Man and DS put his head in his hands and said "Oh no, not Richard Armadidge (sic) AGAIN..." :o The thing is, I never mention him, it's always DD who does!

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 20:11

She sounds like she may be a future academic Twigs! Hope she doesn't get you in trouble in the meantime.

I'm catching up with Luther tonight.

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 21:09

Where are you all?

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 21:12

Here, Smallio Grin

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 21:13

It's very quiet tonight Small. I think we're all a bit drained after the marathon last night. I still don't feel myself, tbh. A situation that wasn't helped by MasterDamerel1 demanding to watch episode 2 of RH.

::wibbles::

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 21:15

So, Lady D. You are not insensible to the charms of leatherclad medieval gentlemen -- and I use the term a trifle loosely Wink

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 21:21

Ah so you were all hiding in the cupboard!

Lady D did you watch the Gizzy hair flingy vid I posted earlier?

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 21:22

Massive, I honestly didn't think it was possible to beat a gentleman in a cravat. My predilection has always been for the Regency period although MrT has nudged me into the 19th Century.

But Gizzy is just something else entirely....

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 21:27

Small, I did.

Twice Blush

LordD is home tonight and watching the exceedingly annoying twats on the Apprentice grr so I can't watch anything with a soundtrack, in case it raises suspicion.

PasstheTwiglets · 06/07/2011 21:34

Now, call me a Philistine ("you're a Philistine!") but I don't like the look of Regency dress for men, though I utterly heart the literature genre. I like a man in touch with his feminine side but wigs and stockings are a bit much for me...

So, LadyD, whereabouts are you based? Roughly-speaking, of course... I take it you are in the UK?

The head-tossing vid was great, Small!

TheSmallPrint · 06/07/2011 21:36

I don't know how we missed that Gizzy one before - I suspect it is to do with a general dislike of Britney songs Grin

I am watching The Apprentice too, it makes me larf.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/07/2011 21:37

You need to invest in some ear-phones, LadyD. If you had some, we could show you some very inspiring vids.

Small, I did so love the hair-flingy one.

LadyDamerel · 06/07/2011 22:02

WIGS WIGS

Shock

The pink of the ton would never wear wigs. The older gentleman may but a true sprig of fashion would be artfully attired in breeches, an exquisitely tied cravat, a perfectly tailored coat by Weston and beautifully polished Hessians.

Example 1, Example 2 and finally example 3.

He he, look what came up on p.3 when I googled Beau Brummell
