Our New Patron! Grin

Well, he dosn't float my boat, but wouldn't John Simm fit that particular bill?

::Googles a bit::

Oh, he always looks really dinky to me but it says here he's 5ft 9. What constitutes short in a world where 6 ft 2 is the minimum acceptable height?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 19:28

You're brave, Spiro. I didn't dare suggest RPJ because I know some ladies around here have eyesight problems consider him extremely buff.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 19:29
SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 19:32

John Simm is cute! Even with a bit of a beard.

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 19:37

Evening Massive

No RPJ is too tall and too buff for this. John Simms could fit, 5ft 9 is short to me I would be looking down at him especially in my heels. Grin. He was quite interesting as thr Master but thudworthy? He does have a pretty nose.

Anyone else?

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 19:45

You wouldn't feel intimidated with John Simm, would you? You could smile and have quite an intelligent chat with him instead of going all wambly at the knees and blushing/stammering.

Just seen David Tennant on a Dr Who confidential and he was cute and short and compact of conk, and so on.. but we're not allowed to have him, are we?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 19:47

MN just ate my post. I was pointing out that there are people on MN who are far more depraved than us.

::inhales deeply of the smelling salts::

How tall are you, Small? Speaking as someone who could get a part as a dwarf in A Certain Film.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 20:08

OMG, that other thread makes me feel so virtuous.
For once I read to the end hoping there would be no reference to anyone I knew...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 20:13

Did you read it all? ::gasps:: I saw the references to Sharpe and his campaign table and DI Gene Hunt and the bonnet of his Quattro and then, as Private Eye says, I made my excuses and left.

I was thinking .... when did we last have a fancy dress party?

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 20:25

I read on in fascinated horror.. Glad to see there were no references to kitchen tables btw.
Fancy dress? That is always fun
I had another idea the other day. For those unwilling to reveal their true birthdays, we could have a sort of official birthday like the Queen does, and have our party on that day.

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 20:47

Taller than John Simm but shorter than HJ Maud.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 20:51

Oh, Envy. I did always want to be tall, bony and ethereal and instead I am short and dumpy petite.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 20:56

One thing about being short and dumpy petite, one can usually indulge one's taste for extreme heels to one's heart's content, should that be your thing, without fear of looking down on one's escort..

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 20:58

Firstly, speaking of parties - 20th March will be our half-anniversary, what d'ya reckon, or we could make it 19th as it's a Saturday (and will no doubt spill on past midnight!)

You could illustrate your own books!
Bless you Massive. Actually the tutor said the same thing as we'd been talking about writing during lunch. Obviously I hadn't told him exactly what I'd been writing lately - not too sure how illustrating those particular stories would work out Blush!

The other paintings were amazing - there were 10 of us and they were all totally different. Mine was probably the most 'realist' which is really weird as I don't generally paint anything that resembles real life Confused.

Right - am off to read the mad thread...

Very true, but it woud be nice to buy a pair of trousers without having to lop six inches off the bottom. And just to have that length of limb. The Bloke is nearly a foot taller than me. Look up, look up at me, did you say?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:06

Spiro. Many apologies. My eaten thread also congratulated you on your painting. Are you going to do more painting or another course? Do behave yourself on the other thread.

Have we really been wittering on sharing our intellectual insights for nearly six months? A party then would be fabulous.

::Gets out sewing machine to run up a little number::

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:09

I agree about the trousers, it's a pain when you buy boot-cut jeans and end up with straight leg, because all the wider bit has had to be lopped off. I found a great alterations place in Milton though so when I go there for a shop I can whip any such stuff straight in there, go and have some lunch and come out and pick it up already done.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:13

Quite honestly, I can think of better things to do in Milton. Ahem.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:16

Such as going to an improving lecture given by Rev Hale at the working men's institute. Obviously.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:17

Maud, really! Shock Blush

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:18

You just got that post in in time didn't you Maud!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:22

Afterwards we might take a cup of tea

::teacups rattle::

Well, Massive, after the first post I realised there was an unintended ambiguity which I ought to rectify.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 05/03/2011 21:25

Evening all!

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:27

Phoenix, hello! what news?

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 05/03/2011 21:35
