Hello Phoenix.

Are you ready for ?

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 21:38

OMG! That other thread is hilarious. I had to go off to the kitchen as was reading it on phone while DH watches tres serious film and was ROFPMSL! Daddy Pig - WTF! And you know how bad it gets when you try not to laugh and can't help yourself? Is it really tragic to be quite pleased that a certain person's name didn't crop up?

Ta, Maud. Might do some more 1-day workshops, am a bit committment phobic when it comes to ongoing stuff tbh. Last year our local college did a Klimt-themed mixed media day which is probably more my thing, so will def keep an eye out for that coming up again. Didn't you do an art course recently - what was that about?

OP posts:
PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 05/03/2011 21:42

I only read a few pages of that thread, and retired from the fray...

Was just momentarily distracted by some peaches.....

Thanks for that video Maud!!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:45

A Klimt-themed multi-media sounds divine. I have done lots of adult education classes over the years but once I had GardenGirl found them too difficult to fit in. (Benefit of late motherhood is that I had plenty of time to indulge in all these things). I've done three one-day courses recently - calligraphy and bookbinding - but hanker after going back to sculpture.

The other thread was hilarious. It thought it would amuse you.

::inhales smelling salts at the memory of it::

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 05/03/2011 21:46

By the way....some support is definitely required...

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:47

That will be the last we see to you tonight then Phoenix. Here's hoping that the Gremlins haven't corrupted your new copy.

I get that ''trying not to laugh'' thing quite often when someone on here makes one of their hilarious comments and the fambly are in the room with me and I am supposed to be browsing the news sites.

About March 19th -- I will not be able to make that date unfortunately, but I can always read back the next day.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 21:50

Well, it seems to me that a party without Massive (or any of the regular crew) wouldn't be much of a party, so when shall we have our official half-anniversary party?

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 21:51

Well we can do 20th, which is the 'official' day. Or Friday 18th - would be a shame not to have a date when we can all be here. The Friday would probably be better for me as there's a reasonable chance I can get shot of DH for the evening and ogle/tackle in peace!

How's everyone else fixed?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 21:53

That was the mother of all typos Blush!

I meant, of course, ogle/cackle Grin

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 21:54

Hello all, sorry I got distracted watching another DVD with DH.

Massive being this height means you only get to go out with the tall men the short ones are too intimidated which can only ever be a Good Thing. With DH I can wear heels and still feel ladylike. I am not freaky tall btw just a nice height.

Phoenix do enjoy your 'you' time this evening Grin

Spiro I have visions of you asking your art teacher for more nudes just to help you with illustrating your novel. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 21:56

Nah, can't do that weekend at all, Spiro, including the Friday, but it's perfectly okay if it suits everyone else. Just don't want you thinking I've deserted you.

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 21:58

At this point in time I have no plans for either date.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 22:04

Spiro I have visions of you asking your art teacher for more nudes just to help you with illustrating your novel

I'm not sure they'd agree to doing the poses tbh Grin

I think we need to find a date when we're all around for a 'proper party' - that weekend isn't compulsory (and it is 2 wks away!). How about Friday or Saturday coming?

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 22:04

Well, I dare say I'll be here whatever the date of the party. I do like a nice bit of fancy dress.

What dvd did you watch, Small? I've just finished cataloguing ours, as my friends and I have decided to start our own micro-library before our houses collapse under the Weight of Stuff.

Are your boys tall, too? ::Ongoing case of height envy::

Working with a life model can be a mixed blessing, I used to think. ::Bleaches brain to remove some memories::

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 22:05

Are you doing something nice that weekend, Massive - or is that the visitors you've mentioned?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 22:13

Next weekend is good for me.

Maud, will you loan Claude and Johnny out to your friends as part of your library exchange plans?
I do not ask about Guy because I know you don't feel quite the same about him, because of the guyliner.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 22:14

The visitors, Spiro!

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 22:17

I am generally around so pick something to suit everyone.

DVD was the Social Network. It was quite good but very fast talking that I couldn't always understand.

Boys are tall, DS1 about 75th but DS2 has been off the red books height chart since he was born. He also weighed over 10lbs at birth so big is not always to be envied!! I suspect DS1 to be HJ height and DS2 to be freakyDad height.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/03/2011 22:21

A very perceptive question, if I may say so, Massive. If they should ask to borrow them, I will have to be ever so nonchalant about it and first wipe the lipstick marks off the dvd covers.

We're watching Brideshead on the telly. We're only 20 minutes in and already I want to weep.

TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 22:27

I saw that Maud but have decided to retire to prepare for tomorrows onslaught. Wish me luck energy please!

SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 22:28

Oooh, Brideshead. Such wonderful clothes., too.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 22:30

Small - I'm just 5' 3 but have v. tall hubby & DD is already armpit height on me at 6! Can imagine the fun I'll have trying to tell her what's what when she's a teenager and about 6 inches taller than me.

So, Friday or Saturday this coming week then? If Friday works for everyone will see if I can despatch H for the night Grin!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 05/03/2011 22:31

Oh Small, have some to boost your blood-sugar in advance. I shall be thinking of you.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/03/2011 22:32

Good luck, Small, hope you & yours have a lovely time - he's 7 isn't he?

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 05/03/2011 22:36

Oh thank you Massive, that one actually played on my phone

Spiro, you're worried? I suspect I shall be the smallest in this house by the time DS2 is 12. I also suspect my food bill will be that of a small country.
