Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

Must be heading up the wooden hill myself.

to you too
Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 00:24

oh poo, it escaped me before I could say ''Missy''

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 00:31

Oh, thank you for that, Holly. What a line-up. Merrrcy!

I have just one more suggestion for a musical number for the Academy panto. This one puts with the rest of us in the chorus.

Good night all.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 00:36

Good lord above, you lot can talk!

I have finally been allowed to set up a dispute against my dodgy ebayer and have now sought out Strikeback on Amazon instead. It was cheaper and is a new copy. Finegrs crossed it arrives soon and fingers crossed that Venetia arrives for Theresa.

Loved the crinkes clip, very funny Xmas Grin.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 10/12/2010 10:34

Oooh! Strikeback....yum!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 12:19

That's a good number, Twiggy. Are you volunteering?

Stripey, your crossed fingers have worked a treat as I now have a hot date with a dashing, dangerous rake tonite.

Now, what's next on my list?

We have an inexhaustable subject, btw. That's why we talk so much Wink

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 12:32

Morning all. I thought this might be for the Academy, although the sensibilities are not, ahem, very liberated.

That's a stupendous number, Twiggy. I think we should have plenty of Bob Fosse influences. Will you be choreographing that one?

Three cheers for Venetia finally making it up the Limpopo. Perhaps this one will stay within the bounds of lovable roguery. I look forward to Holly's critique. Once she has recovered. Likewise for Stripey's Strike Back.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 12:44

Might we also have We might have to tone it down for the matinee performances, I guess.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 12:48

Well, Missy, we surely exercise our chins plenty, here, along with our other faculties.
As for Lord Demerera or whatever his name is, I'm going to take a leaf out of so I won't be back with a review till tomorrow. Or ever, if he lives up to his reputation.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 12:52

Golly, Holly, I thought my costume was a little, ahem, unforgiving.

Do we know what number the boys are going to perorm for us?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 12:53

too much wibbling makes for bad typing. Perform

vintageteacups · 10/12/2010 12:57

Can't remember who else ordered it but my CD of Venetia arrived today - ordered it a couple of days ago - just to let you know becuse someone said they hadn't received their's yet. Not rubbing it in but just thought you could contact amazon and complain as they defo have them in stock. Smile

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 13:01

teacups, joyous news, I too have received my copy!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 13:04

Don't worry, Holly, I understood that to produce a critique of a work of that complexity might, ahem, take some time and a copious quantity of Polish cordial and smelling salts.

I thought the boys were going to appear in all these carefully chosen numbers. But if we need something to display their torsos unique talents, then

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 13:15

Fabulous, wasn't it? But I always wondered whether all those cobs together wouldn't fight.

And the grand jetes might prove a little demanding even for those endowed with snake hips.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/12/2010 13:56

Oh, yay for Venetia at last, Holly! enjoy (you too, teacups!) I have enjoyed listening to Clarissa so much that I think Venetia will be next on my list. Got to tone down the RA-ordering a little for a while though :) Stripey, I hope Mr Porter turns up soon for you!

I will indeed choreograph "One". Fab tune, isn't it? I always used to try and sneak it into our radio shows. However, the routine is quite tricky and no doubt I shall require lots of one-to-one practise with the boys so that they can really perfect their steps. Lucas especially - I don't expect that he is a natural dancer so I must be prepared to spend hours working on this with him, no doubt long into the night. After all, I am nothing if not altruistic.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/12/2010 14:06

Those of you not on Twitter may find this amusant...

StripeyMoon · 10/12/2010 14:09

NEWSFLASH*

Strikeback Has Arrived Xmas Grin

Oh it's a good day. Spent all morning in John Lewis and got back to John Porter Lyine on my hall floor .

I will review and critique ASAP Xmas Grin Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas GrinXmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

Glad everyone's Venetias came too.

Oh happy day.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/12/2010 14:12

Oh how fab, Stripey! John Lewis and John Porter! When I worked in London I always thought it would've been more convenient to have had my salary paid directly into John Lewis and cut out the middleman...

Let us know if there is enough RA yumminess and non-soldiery stuff, to outweigh the horridness...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 14:19

Twiggy, that was hilarious. Even as the Photos were delish. Thanks for bringing it to the faculty attention.

I always think Guy needs to lighten up a bit. I hope you'll help me help him to do so at the party.

Yay Stripey. Not every day a girl finds a hunk like that on her mat!

PassTheTwiglets · 10/12/2010 14:24

Oh, that's most generous of you, Holly. I will certainly help, should you require assistance :)

By the way, I have spoken to the Finance Department and procured enough funds to issue every member of the Academy with one of these. I think we will need it over the coming weeks...

StripeyMoon · 10/12/2010 14:29

That was a great twist on the Grinch Twiglets.

My friend just picked up my DVD and said 'Strikeback? Never heard of it. Oh. Richard Armitage. I see!'
