Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

OP posts:

Oyster is the one to ask about that, Twiggy. I am not aware of any. BTW a weird thing just happened when I was checking the progress of Venetia for the millionth time. For a moment it showed up in Leipzig, then they changed their mind in a split second and it was back to the original departure scan somewhere in Germany.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 23:11

Re socks. Wouldn't be the first time that happened, Twigs Blush Shock

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:12

You can leave your socks on, perhaps?

Wow to the snake-hipped flamenco man in black. Much more exciting than the flamenco show I sat through at Sadlers Wells which had rather too much wailing for my taste. Bleurgh to the combination of jutting bottom and banana legs.

Night, night Twiggy. While we're on the topic of dance, .

MrsLucasNorthPole · 09/12/2010 23:21

Theresa - just thinking - if your Venetia doesn't turn up I have it on PC and could burn you a copy & post it.

Don't think I'm set up for contacting thru MN, but you can always dm me on Twitter (womblingfree1)

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 23:22

There are so many things you miss out here in Limpopo-land. That was a laugh and a half. Pity their clothes are so dull these days. Though they are supposed to have this LBD that makes you lose ten pounds when you put it on. Can't be bad.

Darcey Bussell, eh? More like Nellie the Elephant, unfortunately, when it comes to tripping the light fantastic. I do know a nice line when I see one though.

And I'm not going to do an illustration, okay?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 23:24

Oh, how kind of you Mrs LNP, but as I've ordered through Amazon, they will send me another copy if it doesn't arrive. I am just getting impatient to listen to it as I am sure you can understand.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:28

I think (bit vague about this) that any MNer can now contact any other MNer by hitting the 'message poster' button on their post.

But, Holly, we will all be displaying our dance skills in the panto, n'est-ce caff?

MrsLucasNorthPole · 09/12/2010 23:35

I thought you had to pay some kind of subscription fee for that to work, Missy?

Anyway, Theresa, am sure Amazon will sort it, wasn't sure if it was eBay and therefore not so easily fixed.

Christmas tree up at last. Hopefully DD will stop nagging me now!

RA dirty dancing - now there's a thought to go to bed with....

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:36

Not any more, I think. Check the little envelope logo at the top of the page in a moment.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:38

Well, message sent. I think.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 23:40

I am practising hard, Missy. though I could be the one that reclines on the chaise longue the most

Mocha chocolata ya ya.

I wish I had the nerve to do it for real, I bet it's a hoot.

Failing that I always fancied doing

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 23:48

Did it work,. Missy? I have never dared try.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:57

I say, Holly! Steamy indeed.

. I'd give Hugo Boss Lucas a job in the chorus line - I imagine he'd look rather fine in a wing collar. As, indubitably, would My Man Thornton.
asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 23:59

Dunno. Think MrsLNP has gone to bed. Check your inbox (right at top of screen) in a sec. I know that I can send and receive messages and I haven't paid a cent.

PrairieOyster · 10/12/2010 00:01

Clarissa is the only radio play he has done to my knowledge.

The audiobooks (the Heyers and LotN) are reading the book text but he does do a different voice for each character.

The Robin Hood audiobooks are the same though much shorter although I don't think they are actually books as such (ie you can't buy paper copies). However it is worth noting that the Big Finish S3 RH audiobooks have sound effects, which make for a different experience.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 00:03

And there is the poetry reading which we discussed a while back (links were provided at the time).

PrairieOyster · 10/12/2010 00:03

Sorry I am back later than planned - I have been to the pub too!! Wow!!

Night night!

PrairieOyster · 10/12/2010 00:04

Ah but have you heard the A Life Less Ordinary poetry or The Ted Hughes Letters poems?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 00:06

Sorry, computer crashed. Am reading back now

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 00:07

I was thinking of the R3 Symphony of the City, but have heard the Ted Hughes, thanks to YT.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 00:09

Have you got my thrilling message, Holly?

MrsLucasNorthPole · 10/12/2010 00:11

Hello, Missy! It did work. Had nodded off watching SATC. Def up to bed for me now.

Sweet dreams everyone.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 10/12/2010 00:11

So, we have established that one can message for free. Cowabunga!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 00:15

Hmm Lucas and Mr T would be like cats among pigeons in those chorus lines. This is going to be some party!

Your message arrived okay, it's almost as good as the Spooks set-up.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 10/12/2010 00:17

Goodnight Oyster and Mrs LNP. Have a peaceful night.
