In a 'huge' age gap relationship for three years. Age gap is 28 years. Partner is male, I'm female. I appreciate this won't be interesting to many people, in which case please ignore AMA!

To be honest I think the majority of men age 55 find women in their 20s sexually attractive - however the difference is most of them don't get to act on it or have women in their 20s finding them sexually attractive!

I am married to a man about 30 yes older than me and we have kids. Been together well over 20 years. For a long time it was wonderful and I loved him very much. He was funny, handsome, great in bed, kind and intelligent- everything to me. Now he is an old man with poor health and I am in my 40s. We have nothing in common except our children - he has suddenly become old. It is in no way now a Relationship of equals and we are not on same wavelength. I stay because I care about him and it would shatter our children. I should have known but I was young and very much in love. I am so lonely now and want someone to share my life with but this is how it is.

they all call you an ‘old soul’ who is wise beyond your years. I speak from experience.

you are twenty something. Go be someone’s first and only wife, first and only mother of their children. No man dating a woman nearly thirty years younger is a nice man.

I like slightly older men. I married one. But even then I weighed up any potential power imbalances and implications for my life.

@renieve I have politely asked a couple of times about concerns regarding your sex life a few years down the line but you have not replied. Has this struck a nerve or does AMA not cover this topic?

Re: my ‘not a nice man’ comments. He might be nice as pie to you. But he knows what he’s robbing you of and the carer you will become and he’s convinced you it’s all worth it.

@Twigletgirl27 honestly just due to me not seeing. At present it's good. I never look too far down the line- not that I don't want to spend x how her long with DP, it's if I'll be lucky enough to.

Give it another 20 years and the attraction of living with an old man will definitely wear off ! Why are you wasting your youth on someone whose already has his ?

I did that, my age gap was 30+ years. He was good for me. We were together 6 years. It fizzled out but we stayed friends. I don't regret the years I spend with him. But I regret staying for so long with someone who never really knew Me and still doesn't. He's in a nursing home and I hate having to still visit him. (I'm the love of his life, and he's pushed everyone else away.) his family don't care.

I was 25 and he was 64. I'd never met anyone who I'd just completely clicked with.
