So I posted it, checked day later no questions, next thing it’s gone.
I have no idea what happened or was said.

So, let’s do this again.

OP posts:
BiBabbles · 22/09/2021 14:45

How does that work? You click report on your own post and then there will be a comment box where you can ask why your previous thread was removed.

How do you define romantic love compared to other types? I've had this conversation over at AVEN many years back now and there's been an interesting mix of results.

What do you think are the benefits and risks to people centreing their sexuality and relationship processing part of their personality in their sense of self?

You've said "romantic attraction", how does romantic attraction differ from experiencing romantic love as an emotion?

BoreiPuriHagafen · 22/09/2021 14:45

I have a question.

It's a lovely day, why don't you go out for a walk?

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/09/2021 14:47

What sort of life companion if there’s no romantic attraction? Do you mean a best mate?

BuckyBarnesArm · 22/09/2021 14:48

Have you ever tried to "force yourself" to have a relationship or just accepted yourself as you are? How old are you?

QueeniesCroft · 22/09/2021 14:49

I'm struggling to think anything other than "That's nice, Dear" to be honest.
Obviously, I'd be against discrimination or abuse on the grounds of your orientation, but other than that it doesn't really mean anything to anyone apart from you. And possibly your family.

IWillFindYou · 22/09/2021 14:50

@AnneLovesGilbert

Instead of waiting for questions why don’t you share what you find interesting about yourself?

What’s your favourite colour?

Where do you like to go on holiday?

What’s your greatest achievement?

What do you think of romantic sexual people?

I’m not being horrible, I don’t know why I’d have anything to ask you about your relationship preferences so why not just talk a bit and share stuff about your lifestyle?

I thought it would be as interesting as any topics here. That people would like to know about other way of being. I was mistaken.

Purple.

A cabin somewhere in the forest.

This is really personal, but I’ll just say that everything I have done for my wellbeing the past couple of years. I worked really hard on it. I think I’m really starting to get a bit better, again all odds.

Nothing really.
As long as they are not rude/condescending/try to tell me people like me don’t exist.

OP posts:
BuckyBarnesArm · 22/09/2021 14:51

I honestly don't know why some people are being so fucking rude. Just because they're not interested it doesn't mean others are not.

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 22/09/2021 14:51

It's very outside the "norm" so I think it's an interesting AMA personally. I already posted this on your other thread OP, but are you male or female? Have you ever had a relationship and/or sex? If so, was it with a man or a woman? Do you have or want children? How old are you and when did you start to describe yourself as asexual? What do you think of people who describe themselves as asexual but defend the idea that you can still have and enjoy lots of sex (the last "asexual" person to do an AMA here claimed to be "promiscuous" with a high sex drive if I remember rightly!)

DuesToTheDirt · 22/09/2021 14:51

What possible questions or interest would anyone have about your lack of relationships or sex life? Genuinely no one but you finds it interesting or wants to discuss it.

DFOD. This thread was of great interest to me but got derailed by nonsensical replies like the ones above, so was deleted before I could ask anything.

peachescariad · 22/09/2021 14:53

The most uninteresting thread ever...yawn...

RavingAnnie · 22/09/2021 14:53

I don't know why you are getting such horrible reactions. I think it's very interesting as it's outside the norm.

Do you ever get lonely or do you worry about loneliness as you go into old age?

lifehappened · 22/09/2021 14:53

So many arseholes don't half get triggered by stuff like this. Gotta ask yourself why

CookPassBabtridge · 22/09/2021 14:54

I don't get why you're getting flack.. this is an interesting topic because it's outside of the usual human behaviour.

What would you like out of a relationship/life with someone?
What would you definitely not want? Aside from sex.
Have you tried to find someone who meets your ideal?

RavingAnnie · 22/09/2021 14:55

@peachescariad

The most uninteresting thread ever...yawn...
Well if it's that uninteresting why don't you just move along, rather than making nasty comments. There are plenty of threads on MN that I have no interest in. I just stop reading and don't comment.
Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 22/09/2021 14:55

@BuckyBarnesArm

I honestly don't know why some people are being so fucking rude. Just because they're not interested it doesn't mean others are not.
This. I'm sorry you're getting such a hard time OP, there's just no need for it.
VirgilStarkwell · 22/09/2021 14:56

Would you hope for a monogamous relationship with another aro/ace?

Do you do hugs and holding hands or does that make you uncomfortable?

Do you want children, and if so how would you go about that? (Sorry, that’s very personal.)

StarryStarrySocks · 22/09/2021 14:57

I'll say what I said on the other thread: so what? This is of no interest or relevance to anyone but you.

MsFogi · 22/09/2021 14:59

Here's a question - why on earth do you think anyone is interested or cares about your sex life (or lack thereof) and/or your sexual orientation (or lack thereof)?
It's like me putting a thread up saying "I'm a heterosexual who has fairly regular sex with her DH - AMA!"
Neither your nor my sex life or sexual orientation make you or me special.

Divebar2021 · 22/09/2021 15:00

The most uninteresting thread ever...yawn.

Jesus. Jog on.

OP - I’m wondering whether you’ve discussed this with your parents / family? I think my mum would find it very difficult even if she knew I was perfectly happy. How have they taken the news and has anyone tried to persuade you otherwise? Are there support organisation?…(. If it’s Is something you even need support for)

DuesToTheDirt · 22/09/2021 15:00

@StarryStarrySocks

I'll say what I said on the other thread: so what? This is of no interest or relevance to anyone but you.
It is of great interest to me actually. Why did you bother replying (twice, on different threads) if is of no interest to you.
beastlyslumber · 22/09/2021 15:01

Have you investigated medically? It's very unusual not to have any sex drive, it usually kicks in sometime after puberty. There are some medical conditions and some medications that would dampen the sex drive. Do you think it would be a good idea to get it checked out?

LateDecemberBackInLowB12 · 22/09/2021 15:01

If you don't want sex, or romance, then what do you want from a life partner?

A flatmate type situation?

How would you decide that person was the life partner for you without any feelings of attraction towards them?

Journeyofthedragons · 22/09/2021 15:01

What's red and invisible?

No tomatoes.

Divebar2021 · 22/09/2021 15:02

why on earth do you think anyone is interested or cares about your sex life

You’re wrong. I’m interested so stop speaking for the entire population.

HarebrightCedarmoon · 22/09/2021 15:02

Are you actually going to come back and answer the questions this time?
