@newmumwithquestions

Can you do shoes? I have the feet of an elephant. Size 7, but almost as wide as they are long - pregnancy made them relax and they went from wide to wider than anything anyone caters for.

I’d like some shoes /boots I can wear to work. Shoes are the biggest problem. No skinny heels but a small block one is fine. Everything I try is too narrow.

Oh and also tops and dresses for tall busty women 34g now (I was a 32gg when slimmer) and Am 5’9” with long arms. Everything either gapes, gives me a mono boob or is to short so it rides up and flashes my muffin top. Or oversized things make me look like a Christmas tree or enormous.

Thankyou!

I can totally empathise with this, I had to wear flip flops in October for a month after having my daughter! Even my old trainers didn't fit!

Have you tried the usual suspects like M&S? Dune?

These are lovely and have a Chanel vibe:

This brand is a British brand that cater especially for a wider fit so they might come up wider than other shops. This style is lovely for work

I've had a very quick look for the tops and dresses and you want something that is open at the neckline. This kind of shape looks great:

@Staffroomdoughnut I missed your post but I just had a quick look and Next, Office, New Look came up with hundreds of options. Higher end Russell and Bromley also have some and Net a Porter had hundred of options too. Happy shoe shopping!

I'm in desperate need of a floaty evening dress

Size 12-14 with big boobs and a horrid mum tum pouch.

I went shopping today and cried as nothing looks nice on me anymore. Pre baby was a curvy size 10. Now I'm an overweight tired mum with a black tie event in 2 weeks. Everything I tried just highlighted my big tum and shelf like hips. Please help with reasonable prices suggestions if you can

Oh no, you need something to make you feel like your old, fabulous self! Is it a formal black tie event? When you said floaty I was thinking more casual but then black tie I'd say floaty was out?

@frillseeking it's a birthday party (30) at a private members club in London. So not full black tie. But formal. The theme is summer floaty look

I bought this in case I don't find anything as it wasn't hideous

@SwanShaped

Where’s the best place to get basics like simple T-shirts, vests, shell tops, but that are of good quality. So many places I see, the fabric is so thin you can see your bra through it. Or it gets a hole in straight away. It gets twisted. Cotton please.
Uniqlo is the best for cotton basics, they've got it nailed. Also look at H&M and M&S. They place such big quantities with their fabric suppliers that they get good quality fabrics at cheap prices

casual 50s vintage-esque style for someone who overheats hugely in the summer, I like most colours on myself except pinks, tans and off whites. pale with dark blonde hair and green eyes, hourglass with 32F and 10-12. I'm in my early 20s.

also id like your opinion on these shorts and what you'd style them with, especially in navy. I'm worried the longer inseam could look a bit frumpy, especially on my tree trunk legs, but also don't want to be swimming in my shorts

@Cupidity

Im 40, like blue green and floral patterns, (don't suit red or black), size 16. I need to find a perfect dress to wear to a christening (will be a godparent, christening is being held in a cathedral). I'm happiest in knee length or maxi dresses. Help please!

@AnnaBegins

Please help me find a light cover up /jacket under £50 to wear with this green dress, I dislike my upper arms and love floaty 3/4 sleeves but am struggling to find anything!
I struggled with this because the dress is quite structured but you mentioned you like floaty. The colour is beautiful but again quite difficult to match. I've attached a few images and linked below

Going down the traditional route, I found this but not sure if the green will work. Always hard to tell what the true colour will be like
www.hobbs.com/product/carrie-bolero-/0220-9084-1124K00-FIELD-GREEN.html#q=Green%20bolero&is=false&sz=60&start=0&isSecondPage=false&pid=0220-9084-1124K00-FIELD-GREEN&pos=0

As it's difficult to match exactly, I'd have a look at pairing back with gold. You could bring this in through the accessories I.e a metallic shoe. Ignore the way this is styled but this could work and as it's chiffon, it's a little floaty www.roman.co.uk/ruched-hem-chiffon-bolero-20022433

@frillseeking - please help
I need a dress and shoes, outdoor wedding guest in October, size 14, no 3/4 length sleeves, hide my stomach and have some colour to it. The shoes need to be flat and a size 5. I feel fat and frumpy, would like to feel great and look elegant if possible.

Twinkie01 · 29/06/2021 10:28

Have you found the perfect v neck t shirt for women with big boobs OP. I'm a 10/12 but struggle not to look busty or have t shirts gaping at the bottom due to my boobs.

I recently had this brief with a client and the best fit was Hush, Whistles and M&S (their relaxed fit.). Also have a look at Alice Fawke which is a brand specifically designed for larger busts. They have side seaming and shaping designed to flatter.

As you're slim, I would suggest tucking in your t-shirt to show off your waist and avoid that solid 'block' look and any gaping

@anothermonthbitesthedust I was looking for something else and came across this which could work for your event. With the right styling, I really like this and it looks higher end than DP! www.dorothyperkins.com/petite-black-mesh-foil-spot-midi-/AQQ14403.html

@Endofmytether2

I lost weight (100lbs+) and have since had surgery to remove the xs skin, which is still a work in progress, lol, as I've recently had a revision to remove more xs skin from my thighs, etc (saddlebags). I've gone from having an hourglass figure (albeit fat) to being quite straight up and down (boxy).

How do I dress to give the appearance of a waist as I'm now very boxy?

I'm late 40s and only 160cm tall. I now wear anything from size 10 to 14 depending on the shop, etc.

Thanks for any advice. 🙂

That's amazing, you must feel fantastic! This is quite an easy one because there are lots of ways to give yourself a waist. Anything high waisted is your friend as it gives you shape straight away. Make sure you tuck your tops in, add a belt to your jeans and anything that draws attention to your waist helps so details such as paper bag waist, belted waist, tie waist etc. Also avoid wearing all one colour or print and break it up to give yourself shape. Anything with detailing such as a ruffle will add shape too

What an amazing selection. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Unfortunately some out of my price range. I love the FC one which is in a 12 Will order and cross my fingers to try
Also love the DP one also sold out.

I'm so grateful. Have made note of some of your other recs as I'm quite keen to try colour. But I think im trying to hide my fatness in black

@Gemi33

I'm 5ft 3in, 16/18 and really big boobs, carry most of my weight on my tummy - I feel like I have no waist at all and just go from boobs to stomach, I feel like a barrel. I'm quite girly and really like dresses. Any suggestions for styles that might suit or create a nice shape?
These are slightly younger styles so not sure if that works but they're great for what you're after. I've attached some images and links below:

This style is for bigger busts and the belt will give you a waist
www.bravissimo.com/products/button-front-denim-dress-pd856/#denim-blue-pd856deb

The shirring detail at waist will break up your top half so that you're not all 'boob'
