How long will the fashion for thick sculpted eyebrows continue?

MrsSarahSiddons · 01/07/2018 12:33

Does contouring work if you turn your face sideways or does it just look like dirty streaks?

EssexMummy123456 · 01/07/2018 12:36

best cover up for rosacea? currently i use mac studio fix and green primer but it slides off by lunchtime.

SideOrderofSprouts · 01/07/2018 12:39

Massive bags under my eyes. How do I cover them

Rumblemumble · 01/07/2018 12:45

Are you Lisa Armstrong?

WaitrosePigeon · 01/07/2018 12:51

Done already

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 13:15

@mrssarahsiddons Contouring you should apply with head tilted to the side so you know what it looks like.
@essexmummy123456 try a green colour corrector first, then cc cream then a full coverage foundation, such as revolution fast base foundation stick for cheap or huda beauty #fauxfilter, high end. Then apply a concealer such as Tarte shape tape for high end, or revolution conceal and define for cheap, if you are using cream products then apply before setting with loose powder, then use a setting spray, such as urban decay all nighter.
@sideorderofsprouts apply a full coverage concealer 1-2 shades lighter than your skin under your eyes, then press a beautyblender into a loose powder, press it into your skin, leave for ten minutes then brush off with a big brush. This is called baking, for concealer, use Tarte shape tape for high end, or revolution conceal and define for cheap.
@rumblemumble put tape extending from lower lash line, put the liner across upper lash line, draw a line over the tape, bring line back to eye and fill in the blank space, clean up wing with concealer on a small brush.
@bsbabas put light browns in crease, build it up darker and darker with different colours, cut the crease (cover eyelid) with concealer, put shimmer on eyelid. Or, put dark colours on inner and outer eyelid, dip a different brush in a shimmer, wet shadow on brush with setting spray to intensify and pack on centre.
@smilingbutclueless no I am not.
@lulujakey1 no I am not.

What is your AIBU?

This is not AMA.

Post in style and beauty.

SeriousSimon · 01/07/2018 13:21

What is it that inclines you to take part in this banal, shite trend?

MrsSarahSiddons · 01/07/2018 13:29

What about the eyebrows? How long will these monstrosities continue?

Drummingisfun · 01/07/2018 13:29

Is there a cheap, (definitely under £15, ideally under £10) tubing mascara that is any good? And if so, which one?

And which tubing mascara is best regardless of price?

I'd like a better lip primer than Mac's wax Prep'n'Prime. I also have Lancome's equivalent, waxy thing looks like one of their lipsticks, can't remember what it's called. It doesn't even stop Lancome's own lipsticks bleeding.

i've tried liquid lipsticks for staying power, but they don't flatter lips that are well past pension age - too many wrinkles.

Is there such a godlike thing? I wear Nars semi-matte lipsticks because they stay well and don't bleed without any prep, but I'd really like a primer that works with all/most lipticks.

Expensive not objected to provided it's not astronomical. Yeah - I know it's subjective. Smile

TIA.

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 16:35

@FeistyOldBat put this https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/the-ordinary-hyaluronic-acid-2-b5.html on first, follow with this https://www.superdrug.com/Rimmel/Rimmel-Moisture-Renew-Lip-Liner-Clear/p/744073?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIteu96Jn-2wIVhLHtCh0AZw2mEAQYByABEgJlXfDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CKWrqY2aa_tsCFe8e0wodapoBWw
Then a nude lipstick that is a creamy finish, matte will accentuate fine lines on lips, and nude is more flattering on mature lips. Finish with lipcote to keep lipstick on.

can you recommend a moisturiser for oily skin
i'm 50 and prefer one you use at night and anti ageing

dontlikebeards · 01/07/2018 16:45

How can I keep make up on my face, it seems to disappear as the day goes on. I start the day with a light covering of foundation, powder, blusher and mascara by lunchtime only the mascara remains.

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:11

@deloresclaiborne www.houseoffraser.co.uk/beauty/charlotte-tilbury-charlottes-magic-cream/249483417.pd this is worth it's weight in gold!

OP posts:
givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:18

@dontlikebeards apply this before makeup https://www.beautybay.com/skincare/jone/jellypackgelprimer/30ml/ then apply face makeup and use this https://www.urbandecay.co.uk/enGB/face/makeup-setting-spray/all-nighter/ud803.html#start=1&cgid=44_500
After that apply mascara (if you use mascara first it will run.)

Who are your favourite makeup related musicians. Is it the (Eye)Shadows? The Foundations? Irene (Mas)cara?

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:29

@Mimsy123 I meant questions about cosmetic products and application techniques.

givenchycallsmyname You didn’t say that though, you said ‘ask me anything’. Is it Jimmy Nail Polish then?
