Womanizer Vibe review: the toy that’s completely SILENT - or is it?

The brand’s first ever regular old vibrator is a welcomed no frills, no fuss, gets-the-job-done toy.

My rating:
What I like
  • UltraWave vibrations deliver deep, rumbly sensations

  • Impressively quiet

  • Comfortable, ergonomic design with body-safe materials

  • 10 intensity levels and three autopilot modes for variety

  • Versatile use, not just for clitoral stimulation

What I don't like
  • It’s not noiseless as advertised, though still the quietest vibe I’ve tried

  • Autopilot modes don’t adjust dynamically to user movement or response

  • A remote control or app integration would make it easier in “lay on” mode

  • Lacks the intense power of some wands or pinpoint clit vibes

Key specs

Material: Silicone | Type: Lay-on clitoral vibrator | Power: Rechargeable via USB | Waterproof: Submersible | Settings: 10 speeds, three autopilot modes | Dimensions: 5.6” x 1.9” x 2.1”

My verdict

I’ll admit, lay-on vibrators are a first for me. But it quickly became apparent during testing that the Womanizer Vibe is a fantastic introduction to lay-on vibrators—particularly for those who find traditional wand vibes or clit suckers too intense.

This first for Womanizer is designed with the brand’s newest technology, UltraWave vibrations, which are rumbly and oh-so satisfying. So much so that the device delivers deep orgasms rather than sharp, surface-level stimulation.

It also earns major points from me for its near-silent operation. While not entirely “noiseless”, it’s certainly the quietest vibrator I’ve tested over the last few years. However, it’s not the strongest toy on the market, so power-seekers might find it lacking.

Overall, if you’re looking for a high-quality, ergonomic, and whisper-quiet vibrator, the Womanizer Vibe is well worth considering IMHO.

What Mumsnet users say

How I tested the Womanizer Vibe

I was kindly sent the Womanizer Vibe to test last October, meaning I’ve had up to six months to truly put this latest toy through its paces.

During this time, I’ve tested it solo in various positions to assess the toy’s versatility and comfort. I’ve focused on its effectiveness as a lay-on vibrator first of all, and compared its performance to other types of clitoral vibrators, including wands and suction toys

Given its claim of being the world’s first noiseless vibrator, I also tested its sound levels in different settings—under blankets, on different surfaces, and even against firm pressure—to gauge just how discreet it truly is.

Additionally, I paid attention to how it felt over extended use, whether the vibrations caused any numbing effects (it doesn’t), and how easy it was to clean and maintain after multiple uses.

What's inside the Womanizer Vibe box laid out on a table

True to brand, the packaging and what's included is minimal, placing focus on the vibrator entirely

Packaging and what’s in the box?

True to the brand, the Womanizer Vibe arrives in stylish, discreet packaging that reflects Womanizer’s premium reputation I’ve come to know and love.

Inside the box, you’ll find the vibrator itself, a USB magnetic charging cable, a fabric storage pouch as well as an instruction manual.

How easy is it to set up the Womanizer Vibe?

Setting the toy up is simple. It comes partially charged, so you can use it right away, but a full charge takes around two hours and provides up to 90 minutes of use.

The three-button interface is intuitive: hold the plus button to turn it on, tap to increase the toy’s intensity, and hold the minus button to power it down. The “~” button cycles through the autopilot modes, too.

The buttons are easy to find during use, and the included storage bag is appreciated

How does the Womanizer Vibe look?

Like other Womanizer toys I’ve tested (including the Pro40 and OG), the Vibe has a sleek, modern aesthetic that has a tapered handle and a smooth, curved head that perfectly cups your clit.

The toy is available in multiple colours, including sage green, dusky pink, and navy blue, and it has an understated yet elegant appearance. Plus, the silicone is luxuriously soft, body-safe, and matte to the touch.

Is the Womanizer Vibe suitable for people with sensitive clits?

Yes, actually. If you find direct stimulation too intense, the Womanizer Vibe is a great alternative to be honest.

Sure, Doxy wands and clit suckers like Womanizer’s Pro40 get the job done but sometimes, a bit too quickly for my liking. There are times when, I’m sure like me, you’d like a build up as you climb Mt. O.

This is where the Vibe shines. Its broad surface area allows for more dispersed stimulation, and the rumbly vibrations feel deep rather than sharp and precise.

How noisy is the Womanizer Vibe, if at all?

While Womanizer markets this as the world’s first “noiseless” vibrator, it’s more accurate to call it exceptionally quiet.

The first five intensity levels are, admittedly, nearly silent—but the higher settings do actually produce a low, unobtrusive rumble that can be heard but isn’t distracting. Even at maximum speed, thankfully, it’s significantly quieter than most vibrators, making this toy ideal for discreet use.

How easy is it to clean the Womanizer Vibe?

Given the fact the toy is fully waterproof, cleaning is a breeze. Like most silicone, body-safe toys, all you need to do is wash it with warm water and mild, unscented soap or use a dedicated toy cleaner. Its smooth, silicone design means there are no tricky crevices to tackle where bacteria can hide, too.

A view of the Womanizer Vibe for different angles

With a design that cups your clitoris, this is a great multifunctional vibrator for external pleasure

What lube should you use with the Womanizer Vibe?

Stick to water-based lubricants to maintain the longevity of the silicone material. A good quality lube will enhance comfort and glide without damaging the toy's surface.

Who is the Womanizer Vibe most suited for?

  • Those who want a near-silent vibrator

  • People who find direct clitoral suction too intense

  • Fans of rumbly, deep vibrations

  • Those looking for a hands-free, lay-on style toy

  • Couples who want a versatile toy for external stimulation

How does the Womanizer Vibe compare to other clitoral vibrators

  • We-Vibe Touch X: The Touch X is significantly smaller and easier to travel with compared to the Vibe, making it a good option for those who prioritise portability. However, it is noticeably louder than the Womanizer Vibe and has a more intense vibration style, which some users may find overwhelming. If you prefer stronger, more direct stimulation, the Touch X may be a better choice, but for a quieter, deeper, and more dispersed vibration, the Womanizer Vibe wins.

  • Dame Pom: The Dame Pom has a similar shape to the Womanizer Vibe but features much softer, squishier silicone. While the Pom delivers enjoyable vibrations, they lean towards the buzzy side rather than the deep, rumbly sensation of the Womanizer Vibe.

  • Je Joue Mimi Soft: The Mimi Soft is comparable in size and functionality to the Womanizer Vibe but lacks UltraWave technology. While both offer broad stimulation, the Mimi Soft’s vibrations don’t penetrate as deeply and can feel surface-level in comparison.

How does a lay-on vibrator actually work?

A lay-on vibrator is designed for external stimulation, with the user positioning it against the clitoris and grinding or rocking against it.

Unlike a wand or bullet vibrator, which requires you to hold and maneuver it, a lay-on vibe offers hands-free possibilities, making it great for effortless pleasure.

My final verdict

Final rating:

The Womanizer Vibe is a well-designed, ultra-quiet lay-on vibrator that offers deep, rumbly vibrations. It's a fantastic choice for those who need discretion and enjoy broad, diffused clitoral stimulation.

While it won't replace a Magic Wand for power-seekers, it fills a unique niche as one of the quietest and most comfortable vibrators available.
