While Katy Perry’s latest music video for her new song Woman’s World has been met with mixed reactions, there’s one detail that’s caught the eye of many viewers - and it’s not the campy choreography, questionable lyrics or dodgy collaboration. Amid the over-the-top visuals, Perry managed to spotlight a product that’s been a long-time favourite in our community: the Womanizer

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, the pop star brandishes a pink Womanizer Premium 2. It seems our users are ahead of the curve when it comes to women’s pleasure, however. Despite the video only premiering recently, the Womanizer range has long been a firm favourite for our Mumsnet users over on our Sex Talk board.

Womanizer! It takes a little getting used to, but OMG it’s life-changing.

Womanizer is famed for creating the world’s first clitoral suction toy. The brand developed Pleasure Air technology, which uses waves and pulses to stimulate without actual physical contact. The range is available to buy from Lovehoney, who currently have some great savings across favourite Womanizer toys. Plus, Lovehoney offers fast delivery and discreet packaging.

Our verdict

We love that this toy has been featured in Katy Perry's new music video. The 14 intensity settings give you so much choice, so you can essentially tailor the pleasure to suit your desires. If you’re super sensitive, the lowest setting offers a more gentle approach. But for those who want a little more intensity, the highest setting delivers a whole new level of power.

The premium silicone feels so nice on the skin and the soft tip encircles the clitoris and treats it to a mixture of fluttering and sucking sensations. Plus, it comes with a choice of two different stimulation heads for versatility.

It’s rechargeable with a USB cable, offering up to 240 minutes of run time and it’s waterproof, so your pleasure doesn’t have to stay on dry land.

At over £134 even with a discount, there’s no denying this toy is on the pricier end. However, you’re paying for patented technology that practically guarantees intense pleasure, so that’s more bang for your buck.

The button navigation can be tricky to get used to, as you have to click through the intensity settings to get to the one you want. But you can also use the AutoPilot mode for ease, allowing the Premium 2 to decide the patterns of intensity and allowing your mind to focus on nothing but the pleasure.

The Womanizer Next has a reimagined version of the brand’s iconic Pleasure Air Technology, offering a 3D style that achieves a slower rate for controlled pleasure and a more natural feeling.

Other toys from the Womanizer range operate with one depth level but the Next has Climax Control, which allows you to manage not only the speed but choose between three different depths. The toy is also whisper-quiet, so you can enjoy a steamy session with total privacy and it’s waterproof, allowing you to take things outside of the bedroom.
