twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1104427039082405888

This one is a tweet with screenshots of 'packers', i.e. plastic penises, for girls under 5 who identify as boys to wear in their pants. (Yes, you read that right. I'd say a trans 3yo is like a vegan cat. We all know who's made that call.)

That led a concerned parent to send them a lot of screenshots from a Facebook group for affirming parents of trans children. First batch are about packers, starting here. twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1104778089974980609

Second batch are about underwear for biological boys designed to minimise bulges in the genital area. (So the opposite of the above.) twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105542499483955200

Third batch are about binders being worn by biological girls and causing serious respiratory issues. twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105585448657801217

The whole thing is just sickening. Why isn't anyone sane in authority trying to re-assert normality and put the health and wellbeing of these confused children and teenagers first?

God forbid the UK ever goes the same way.

I won't link but the thread that has most disturbed me from 4th Wave's recent twittering is the one about the child with the YouTube channel who is talking about packers.

Haworthia · 12/03/2019 22:32

I was reading about the packers (and parents buying them even though their female children actually showed no interest in having one) over the weekend.

Then when people mentioned their children wearing packers with harnesses. I mean WTAF? Harnesses are sex toys! This is really, really creepy. Imagine being one of those children, a confused little girl who probably would have changed her mind about the “boy” thing pretty quickly, but is now stuck wearing fake silicone genitalia because her parents bought it and that’s just the way her life is now...

CaptainMarvelBunting · 12/03/2019 22:43

It can't be defended. You cannot, as a caring responsible parent, defend buying your children sex toys like harnesses and encouraging them to hate their bodies.

I know parents face horrendous challenges, but this is so beyond acceptable I will accept no defence because there cannot possibly be one.

MNHQ better not hive this one off into oblivion. It's not caring parents helping dysphoric and troubled children, it's grown adults behaving like stupid, peer dependent teens, egging each other on to ever more edgy decisions with their own fucking children.

Lemoncakestrudel · 12/03/2019 22:44

Howdamaged are those children going to be growing up? When sll this insanity ends, they will need a lot of support. But who will they have to talk to? The same bloody ‘professionals’ who are pushing this abuse Angry

GabrielleNelson · 12/03/2019 22:45

I couldn't bring myself to look at that, Language, but the kid in the picture on the link looked very young to be a YouTuber.

OP posts:
PleaseSpeak · 12/03/2019 22:46

Omg I had to stop reading it's horrifying. It's child abuse. It feels actually panic inducing as somebody who was sexual abused - that gut reaction says something very important I think.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 12/03/2019 22:49

I saw the video you reference Lang. I couldn't bring myself to watch it all, the child was clearly hugely embarrassed about talking about it, so many euphemisms and those mannerisms.

What the fuck is wrong with the adults encouraging this?

TurboTeddy · 12/03/2019 23:20

Will there ever be a day of reckoning for the sick adults that do this to children? I'm not usually a vindictive person but I sincerely hope that if the day ever comes when they (fucking bastards) have to answer for their crimes against childhood that the punishment is severe.

TurboTeddy · 12/03/2019 23:24

Sorry, that was unnecessarily strong; this sort of thing makes me feel so angry.

Whatisthisfuckery · 12/03/2019 23:29

i’d say that was very necessarily strong, TBH. i’d even go so far as to say it was understated.

Datun · 12/03/2019 23:46

I'm with you TurboTeddy. That was positively restrained.

TurboTeddy · 12/03/2019 23:52

I feel like crying and not sure if it's because I'm so angry or just incredibly upset about the children that are being confused and convinced that their bodies are wrong.

What is fucking wrong with people?

Even Maria Miller getting her arse handed to her on Twitter doesn't make me feel any better.

Persifleur · 12/03/2019 23:54

What is this fuckery? How bad does it have to get before someone (other than old women not content with their alleged gender identity) shout: Stop! This is madness!

CaptainMarvelBunting · 13/03/2019 00:16

Sun. Light.

People don't know this is happening because it's so fucking bonkers they wouldn't believe it if it was a fictional Channel 5 documentary.

They need to see it, and not with a vaseline'd lens Mermaids veneer - they need to see that there are people encouraging each other to buy their children items from sex shops and cajole their kids into wearing these things.

A few persistent DM articles and some viral Facebook posts seem just the job, tbh. People won't want to believe it, because it's so awful, but it's the only way it's going to stop.

Datun · 13/03/2019 00:20

I agree sunlight is key. But also the conduit to get it out there. Could anyone tweet this info to Sharron Davies? She has several children, I believe.

That awful pink haired woman and these penis packers have been doing the rounds for a couple of years. This scandal has been exposed, albeit not quite so comprehensively, but not the means to get it out there.

OccasionalKite · 13/03/2019 00:20

Putting small children into bondage gear.

Utterly sick.

Iused2BanOptimist · 13/03/2019 02:35

If I ever see a child wearing one of these I shall report it to social services. It's utterly disgusting.

At a practical level I would think these would be very uncomfortable and given that it is hard enough to teach a young child to wipe their bottoms properly, flush the loo and wash their hands, I think they must be incredibly unhygienic. I would expect chaffed skin and localised infections such as thrush and probably uti's.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 13/03/2019 06:32

I think it would be really interesting to see if the stats for people diagnosed with Munchausens-by-proxy have gone down in recent years.

GabrielleNelson · 13/03/2019 07:34

Lang, not Language, of course. Thank you, autocorrect.

Captain, that's a very interesting point. 8000 members that Facebook has. 8000 parents, for the most part, I assume, but I wonder how that can be checked. The very mildest word I could apply to the ones in the screenshots is misguided. Why aren't the professionals stepping in to stop them doing this stuff instead of facilitating it? 'First, do no harm' seems to have gone out of the window.

This is so disturbing. I told my friend, not a MN or up with any of this, and yes her first reaction was I had to be joking. The non binary parent discussing Theybies and childism with Piers Morgan opened her mind to the very crazy ideology further, but this is truly messed up and I can’t understand anyone who thinks it’s ok. I just don’t even have the words.

GabrielleNelson · 13/03/2019 08:08

I think this might be the worst yet. What's gone wrong with parents who can think like this? Two years ago, so with luck that kid held out till 18 and has now thought better of the whole thing and is getting on with life without taking hormones and without having had surgery.twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105667219814526976

So wait, I'm trying to get my head round this one Gabrielle - so, is that a boy, on oestrogen who wants to stop taking it because it interferes with him 'self- pleasuring'? And the parent is in opposition? WTAF

Datun · 13/03/2019 08:32

God, this is almost worse than everything else.

The leaked reports from the Tavistock certainly showed how certain parents were behind their child's transition. And it's suspected in the case of Jazz Jennings, and certainly Susie Green.

But this is a whole new level. This is really using your child as some sort of prop or play thing.

ComputerSaysMo · 13/03/2019 08:33

That screenshot epitomises the problem I have always had with medicalising “trans kids.” The prospect of allowing anyone to disrupt, interfere with, or actually block a child’s growth into their adult sexuality is horrific. There is no “progressiveness” to any movement that permits that.
