Not posted much on this but been following the debate. Just heard interview with the Guide Leader at the centre of the GG issues (Helen I think) and announcement that they will be debating the whole trans issue after 9am with Nicky Campbell.

PS You can text opinions on the issues to 85058, as I have just done - mum of two boys but appalled by the actions of G Guides.

Just heard the intro. I’m surprised they’re willing to discuss this on the BBC.

Badstyley · 24/09/2018 09:04

Just switched it on.

Beamur · 24/09/2018 09:08

Listening...

JoanSummers · 24/09/2018 09:09

Listening now, thanks for the tip OP

OldCrone · 24/09/2018 09:09

They're talking to Helen Webberley.

heresyandwitchcraft · 24/09/2018 09:09

Dr Webberley said "Biological sex is a tricky one"
Facepalm.

MuseumofInnocence · 24/09/2018 09:09

"Biological sex is a tricky one" Hmm

DryHeave · 24/09/2018 09:10

Sounds like those they’ve got on right now have all drunk the gender fluid.

Badstyley · 24/09/2018 09:10

Helen Weberly ffs.

Jog22 · 24/09/2018 09:10

"Sex is more of a medical term" says Helen Webberley dismissively ??

heresyandwitchcraft · 24/09/2018 09:10

"There are two different types of body"

YES HELEN! BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO SEXES.

JoanSummers · 24/09/2018 09:11

Helen Webberly stuttering over defining 'cis gender' and 'gender fluid'.. she doesn't sound too confident with saying the words out loud does she?

OldCrone · 24/09/2018 09:11

Does 'Dr' Helen Webberley know how babies are made?

BadasIwannaB · 24/09/2018 09:12

"Biological sex - that's a tricky one' but then "cisgender - oh that's much easier". Huh???

SwearyG · 24/09/2018 09:13

Who is talking now? I tuned in after she started. She’s spouting actual nonsense.

heresyandwitchcraft · 24/09/2018 09:13

I wouldn't include that binary "male/female."
WTAF
What the fuck would you do about reproduction.
Now she is saying that it is only possible to reproduce with male/female.
She is spreading some serious confusion here.

What's the difference between bisexual and pansexual?
LMFAO
There is no difference.

MuseumofInnocence · 24/09/2018 09:14

Discussion on labels is quite funny

JoanSummers · 24/09/2018 09:14

Ooh she just had to concede that a male and female are needed to create a baby.

Lol at her trying to describe the difference between bisexual and pansexual. So bisexual means attracted to males and females and pansexual might also be attracted to 'other things' and not want to label themselves.

Badstyley · 24/09/2018 09:14

Oh dear, it’s cut out. Thank God for that.

Scrapper142 · 24/09/2018 09:14

Ahhhhh. Screaming already. What's with all the boys and girls? Avoiding using 'women'

OldCrone · 24/09/2018 09:14

OK, so she knows how babies are made, but thinks that we don't need labels. We don't need the labels either, Helen, but why transgender and not just gender non conformity?

Badstyley · 24/09/2018 09:15

Oh dear, my Wi-Fi has cut out. Thank God for that.

BeUpStanding · 24/09/2018 09:15

My god this woman is a blathering idiot! She's just spewing pomo word salad over the airwaves Hmm

JoanSummers · 24/09/2018 09:15

I don't think she believes a single woRd she is saying. She knows it is nonsense, that's why she is making such a mess of trying to describe it.
