So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Morning Smile

The last thread dropped off my TIO, I hate how that happens now.

Had a fab weekend, first I won some money on the GN, and it was even better because I know One For Arthur's trainer Grin Then I had my pole photo shoot which was fab, just need to wait for pictures now.

Not lost anything this week, most like because I've eaten yummy Easter chocolates my friend sent from Denmark. They were worth it, I made OH hide one box so that I didn't eat them all at once.

Hope weigh in is good for you all Smile

Ignoranus · 10/04/2017 08:30

Well done to everyone that has lost over the course of the boot camp, it's really inspirational to see. I only started back on the LC last Monday so very late joining in but I'll keep on going obviously. i think I'm over the worst of the real carb withdrawal although I am feeling a bit jittery this morning.
I've been sleeping much better than usual though but having the most bizarre and vivid dreams. Not sure if this is normal!

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 10/04/2017 08:52

It's week 6 for me and I have lost a whole stone. I am absolutely thrilled. More importantly for me though, I have lost over 5 inches around my tummy. Healthy internal organs, here I come Grin

Kleptronic · 10/04/2017 08:55

After the teenager's birthday extravaganza I've only put 0.2lb on, I'm counting that as a win!

Hesdeadjim · 10/04/2017 09:11

Mixing it up this week and going back to full bootcamp as a last hurrah Grin

I'll post my meal plans here to keep me accountable as much as possible:

Today:
Breakfast: Coffee with ridiculously thick double cream (Tesco finest, you can see the fat globs Shock)

Lunch: chicken Caesar salad: chicken breast pieces, Parmesan, avocado, cherry tomatoes, salad leaves, Caesar dressing

Dinner: huge prawns cooked in butter with loads of garlic and some kale thrown in.

Macros are about right and only 16g carbs so win win!

Another loss here which makes -27lbs in bootcamp so far, would like to make it at least -30lbs in total for this bootcamp.

readyforsunshine · 10/04/2017 09:38

Hi all
I think I need boot camp to kick start me, can I join?
I've lo carbed successfully before, dukan, which is also lo fat, but don't think I can manage to be that strict again, although it was good & fast. I've been eating healthily but ive found it too easy to let extras slide in, I know that lo carving takes the cravings away & the sad reality is I need something more prescriptive or I will maintain rather than lose. I have just over a stone to lose but 10lbs will see me back in my old clothes. Will have a look to see if I can find some rules unless anybody can kindly direct meSmile

Hesdeadjim · 10/04/2017 09:55

ASDismynormality you've done amazingly! Are you staying on this s WOE after bootcamp?

Dogblep · 10/04/2017 10:05

Well done everyone! No scales still but my clothes feel a little looser this morning.

Some really impressive weight losses here. It's very inspiring.

I'll definitely be keeping going strictly for the next few months but very glad to have found you all here for this extra whoosh of inspiration and support.

ASDismynormality · 10/04/2017 10:11

Hesdeadjim. Definitely! I started low carb a couple of weeks before bootcamp started and am going to carry on - I still have 7 stones or more to loose.... I am doing it for health reasons which is making it easier to stick still and also it's a WOE that really suits me.

Kleptronic · 10/04/2017 10:25

Hi readyforsunshine, if you look at the first post on this thread by BIWI, there is a link to the spreadsheet - it has our weights on it, but if you go through the tabs at the bottom, all the rules, recipes and shopping lists are there too. Here's the direct link to the Rules tab.

There will be a follow-on thread when this Bootcamp finishes, and a bunch of us will be carrying on, so do join us!

Hesdeadjim · 10/04/2017 10:33

ASDismynormality I really feel like you and I are doing this parallel to each other. I have a similar amount to lose (8st in total) and I'm the same, I feel like I've finally found a WOE that I can stick to and that actually suits my needs.

I'll be carrying on between bootcamps and into the next one if BIWI can tolerate having me again so it will be so awesome to follow your progress here :)

In other news, bit of a dress malfunction today. Stuck on a dress I regularly wear for work and left the house as usual. Got to work, went to the loo and caught sight of myself in the mirror Blush this dress used to be tight across the waist, I now have 6 inches and look like I'm wearing a tent Grin

Away from home so not able to weigh today. Just marking place on new thread.

Well done everyone. I love reading all the success stories!

FinallyHere · 10/04/2017 11:14

Ah the joy of clothes getting larger, instead of shrinking, hesdeadjim. Bliss.

I know we are supposed to be doing this for heath and wellbeing, but its so satisfactory to see the evidence of me, rather than the clothes, shrinking.

Hesdeadjim · 10/04/2017 11:48

FinallyHere bollocks to that, in under no false illusions that I'm here for my health although I definitely should be, I'm here to walk down the aisle in 12 months time to ooh and aaahh's Grin

We also want to start TTC straight after the wedding which will be a hell of a lot easier at 10st rather than 19 Blush

ragz134 · 10/04/2017 12:14

1.4lb down on last week, still not down to lowest so far but it is still TOTM and I have a rotten cold so imagine some fluid retention going on.
7.6lbs lost so far on bootcamp, but more importantly, I am still here and KOKO...

ragz134 · 10/04/2017 12:21

My weight over the last 3 months on low carb.

Of course, I had forgotten you gorgeous dress, hesdeadjim.

SylviasDaughter · 10/04/2017 15:28

Apols for radio silence; I've been doing a hybrid of Cambridge and lowcarb which is working well for me, but not sure if I should really keep hanging out here as it's definitely not adhering to the Bootcamp rules BIWI?

StuntNun · 10/04/2017 15:58

A pound on for me but it was my birthday at the weekend and the kids insisted I had a birthday cake they didn't like my "steak-cake idea.

LazydaysofSummer · 10/04/2017 16:14

HI All,

I've put on again this week, but I have been rather more active this week than of late, with swimming a couple of times, tennis, and three two/three hour bike rides. My legs feel achy and heavy today as a result, so I'm hoping it's mainly muscle ! Despite being away I was able to stick to this, reasonably easily, just asked for salad in stead of chips when ever we ate out. The muffin top is definitely reduced but still got some work to do so planning on sticking with this post boot camp, after all this time it doesn't feel like a diet I want to get to the end off, but it's definitely a positive choice in terms of WOE.
Thanks again to BIWI and Stuntnun, for instigating this bootcamp, without you guys I'd probably be a stone heavier.

Belated happy birthday Stunt Thanks
Some great losses again. ASD Your loss is incredible.
And it's great we are all still here for the last week.
Welcome ready Smile

Hesdeadjim · 10/04/2017 16:45

I've treated myself today to a couple of audiobooks. I'm a massive science nerd, so I'm going to bury my head in some Gary Taubes and see what he has to say about the whole sugar/ carb/ fat thing.

I'm starting off with "Why we Get Fat", then moving on to "the case against sugar". After that I've got "The Big Fat Surprise" by Nina Teicholz to have a listen to. I'm hoping they can break my "fat is bad" mentality and get rid of my lingering bit of food guilt. I'm still hiding my double cream pot from colleagues in the morning when I grab a coffee. I can't bear the "fat girl holding a pot of cream" image Hmm.. also whenever someone asks me how I've lost the weight I'm still mumbling something about stopping dieting and drinking more water Hmm Not entirely sure why I'm embarrassed to talk about Keto/ LCHF but I definitely am. Hopefully once I've listened to the science behind it all it might arm me a bit for the questioning.

Anyone read these?

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 10/04/2017 17:26

May I bob my head in? Do you accept newbies into your fold? Grin

Weighed 66kg in 2014...now weigh more than ever at 90 Blush

I've been losing and gaining the same 7lb for months now, mostly on slimming world with some 'fad' diets thrown in for good measure.

I'm in desperate need of finding something that works for me. I have tried low carbing before but it didn't work for me. I think it was because I just took the idea and ran with it rather than did it properly so I doubt I was ever in ketosis anyway.

I started today and have downloaded the "MyKeto" app which seems to be okay so far and have ordered some ketosis stick measure things, which are coming tomorrow.

My app tells me I've not eaten enough fat (only about half) but I'm almost maxed out on my carbs for the day. Does anyone have any idea of what I can eat to up just my fat? I know cheese has carbs in it and protein very little fat.

I don't want to fail on my first day!
